One of the best nails salons I have visited. I started coming here over a year ago so I'm late on my review. I like it becuse they do a really good job, they use high quality products, their prices are very reasonable, and they do a good job in a very timely manner. I don't have to worry about spending 3 hours in the salon or getting out quick and my nails no lasting at all. Parking is conveniently located across street and it's not expensive ( like $2 dollars) The staff is really nice and attentive. You won't be disappointed. This is a 3-Star nail salon. I called yesterday for a hard gel manicure and was able to get in same day. The nail tech obviously prioritizes speed, not a refined manicure. I've never seen a nail tech move so fast in my life: so if you're in a rush and can settle for a so-so manicure, you may actually like it here. However, precision was sacrificed for speed. My manicure looks nice from a far, but up close: the gel polish doesn't properly cover corners, there are layers from where the tech did not cover the whole nail bed with the second coat so it looks uneven. I would have felt worse about this if the price wasn't lower than I had been paying elsewhere. There were 3 other issues during my appointment: firstly it was painful when the tech took a nail file block to prep my nail beds for gel, her speediness caused her to scratch the skin above my cuticle repeatedly with the file block without caution. Secondly, when I confirmed I wanted a neutral pink she brought two bottles out and swatched both bottles on my fingers to show me the color. I told her it was too warm toned pink, and asked, "do you have anything cooler?" She got up to grab the color books for the first time in the appointment and she handed it to me haphazardly. Her movement caused the book to bump into my nails - at that point they were filed and prepped for gel so I believe it was really inconsiderate and could have risked breaking my nail. I didn't understand why she had to rush that hand-off. Thirdly, when she swatched those first two bottles she never removed the gel until after I looked through the color books. This led to me accidentally swiping a nail on my slacks and I got gel on my pants :( Overall, the nail tech put minimal thought into my experience, her priority was unquestionably speed, and for the price, the final product was just Okay. 3/5 stars, I don't plan to return unless I feel like paying less for nails but honestly it's just not worth it. read more

About a month ago I came in for a simple gel pedicure. When the tech (Sally) sat down and started using the grinder to remove the previous color. She was distracted and talking to another tech and ground my big toe nail to paper thin. She realized her mistake, and didn't even mention it to me. I briefly saw it at the moment, but since she didn't acknowledge me I thought it was fine. She then went and got the liquid nail remover and put it on the rest of my toes. Now a month later my nail is so thin it ripped down the middle all the way down to my skin and I now barely have a toe nail. This is unprofessional and negligent. I have to pay the price (and pain) of her mistake. Be careful who you choose to see here, not all techs have the ability (or concern) to care about their work. read more

Summer is the best!!! I've been going to her for my hard gel manicures for I think about two years now. She always does an incredible job, and my nails last for WEEKS (I'm consistently able to go at least month, but I try to go closer to every three weeks). She recently got a new tool for the hard gel that makes them look even better -- the gel layer is thick and really strong but it somehow LOOKS thin now, and really natural. I also really appreciate that she's gentle on my cuticles, and because she is, my cuticles are so much healthier than before I started seeing her. And if ever break a nail, she fits me in to fix it right away. I've gotten gel pedicures from multiple women here too and they're all consistently great. Highly recommend! read more

I've been coming to this salon since 2023--probably around 20 times total--and my experiences have always been hit or miss. Sometimes the service is great, other times not so much. Unfortunately, after my most recent visit, I think it's time to move on and find a new salon in Pasadena. I booked my usual gel manicure and pedicure, but suddenly had acrylic nails being glued onto my natural nails! I immediately told my tech that I didn't want acrylics (they just don't fit my lifestyle), but she insisted it was "too late" and that it's what I asked for--even though I've been a regular here and always request a simple gel manicure. I didn't want to argue, so I reluctantly let her continue. The biggest disappointment was how my natural nails were handled underneath. Instead of being filed smoothly, they were cut in a jagged, uneven way and not shaped properly before applying the acrylics. Now when you look underneath, I have sharp, rough edges where my real nails were left unfinished. It's honestly just sloppy work for a salon I've trusted for so long. Sorry gloss, I think it's time for me to move on. read more
