I've worked with Marylor for years in private sessions, and I can honestly say she has changed my life. When people see me now, they see the weight loss, kayaking, rafting, and all the physical activities I'm able to enjoy. What they don't see is the foundation that made all of that possible. I started Pilates because I wanted to move better and get stronger. Over time, Marylor helped me build strength, balance, confidence, and trust in my body in ways I never thought possible. I went from struggling with basic movements to doing things I never imagined I would be capable of. What makes Marylor special is that she doesn't just teach Pilates. I used to love this place but slowly started hating it. Final straw was today, I was booked for an evening class and I show up to a studio that's burning up with no AC. 96° outside. Not an email, curtesy text, or anything. But as soon as you miss a payment, they call you 5+ times. Then I was lucky to snag a reformer next to a fan, then right before class started the receptionist faced it towards the instructor and other side of the room... didn't even ask if i could still feel any of the air, which I couldn't. It was so hot, I had to keep stopping and wasn't able to enjoy my workout. read more

I really love the instructors and studio. Been taking classes for 4 years and have never felt better.

Definitely got scammed by this place so hope they don't put others through this. After I did their "trial" session they said I could do 90 days with them and then tell them if I wanted to continue. You cannot get in a class. They do not have enough classes or teachers so every class is always booked with 6+ people on the waitlist. You will not get in. Ever. I signed up for 8 classes a month and barely used half each month. I had to call or text them to have them just add me to the wait lists and I typically still never got in. It was a waste of $179 a month. If you pay this much for a membership you should be able to at least workout there. When I brought this to their attention they seemed to not care at all and said they "hope" the waitlist opens. One nice girl at the front even said "yeah, it's really hard to get in classes here", yet they continue to recruit people to join. I was told by multiple people to not sign up with them and I did anyway so lesson learned. Also, after the "90 day" trial, they still want to charge another 30 day notice if you decide if you don't want to continue with them, so they really get 4 months commitment out of you then 3. Multiple teachers here have said bad things about the owner and I think that's telling in itself how the owner runs her business. Definitely look around elsewhere before signing up here because once you're in, they will not help you and you will definitely not get into any classes. read more

So this is my second month with this location here in Roseville and I love it. Everyone that works there is so nice always always helpful. Taylor who is at the front desk helped me join up and she was super helpful on texting back-and-forth and offered a couple free classes and trainers Bernadette and Valerie are my all-time handstand favorites. Love these women but really they're all good. I do wish they had a few more 1.5 flow classes in the 530 timeslot, but I get that the flow 2s are more likable at that time of day. I still like Club Pilates in Folsom, because most is the instructors are helpful, patient and kind, and I usually get a really good workout when I go. If you are thinking of joining, be aware that they have a 12-hour cancellation policy: If you cancel your class less than 12 hours before the class time, you will be charged $10. And they are not flexible...even if you wake up sick, or something happens to throw your day completely off track (like a sick kid, an accident, something at the house falls apart, etc) they will still charge you. They are capitalizing on members misfortune, and I wish they would rethink this policy, and perhaps reduce it to 6 or 8 hours. They always have long waitlists and the classes will still be filled-even if a member cancels 6 hours before class time. Life happens and I wish Club Pilates would recognize this and not punish members when that happens. read more

The Folsom Club Pilates has a great central location. The facility is always clean. The instructors are amazing.

Not confident here that as a new-comer I won't hurt my body on the machines because 2/3 instructors I saw were not helping me when I was clearly struggling. Only Jenn helped out consistently and gave me feedback on what I did wrong. We are expected to take level 1 classes that aren't very challenging, I guess, but the schedule is always so packed I just take what I can get. It's impossible to know if I'm doing anything right when teachers like chloe or samantha are teaching because they don't provide feedback or help when struggling. Samantha saw me struggle consistently and didn't offer help. Jenn is the nicest and most helpful. She helps consistently and other trainers don't help at all. Also something smells when I lay on the mats sometimes. It may be the mats themselves. I don't know. read more

If your looking for a low impact, full body workout with an emphasis on your core then Club Pilates will work for you. If you have injuries. Neck spinal joint issues then club Pilates is a good option. I was 7 weeks postpartum when I first went to try them out. I was cleared by my doctor and was literally trying to find a fitness club to meet my needs and ease back into fitness. My favorite things were the reformer, the cleanliness and the instructors. This place wasn't a "judgy" atmosphere as some studios tend to be they were really sweet and accommodating as I really needed a lot of modifications. The trial class was like30 min it's not really a good grasp on what your getting into because it just you and the trainer and possibly one other person and it's fast, I actually had one other lady that was there for my free trial. Nonetheless I signed up $200 unlimited one month. They had some deal where there was no contract but normally you'd be tied in for 3 months or more. My first real class sucked as in I couldn't do some of exercises at all they involved a tremendous amount of oblique and core strength.. As I continued to go I improved but it probably takes most people at least a month to understand the equipment, figure out what instructors are referring to and be quick about transiting into the next segment because it can move fast. If your not already into the next exercise than your missing reps and time is ticking so I sometimes felt one side got a better workout because I was trying to figure out what to do. The only reason I stopped going was because of my commute it's just too far from my home now. They do not have childcare. They have an app your use to register for classes etc. Favorite instructor was Nadia but she usually only does super early classes and Brittany was also really nice and her classes flowed well. There is no loud music sometimes they have the radio on but it's hard to hear the instructor and follow if music was loud. Would be nice if they just played Pilates yoga type music in backround instead of 107.9 or whatever. read more

I started coming here a little over two years ago, so this review is long overdue. I truly love this place and pilates has been transformative for my health and fitness. When I came here, I was having chronic shoulder and back pain and thought something was seriously wrong. I could barely get through any workout because of the pain. My doctor recommended reformer pilates and I signed up right away and started going several times a week. Within a few months, the pain was mostly gone and I felt stronger and more in balance than I had in years. I still go regularly, and now, because of the way pilates strengthens and balances the body, I'm able to do any kind of workout I want. In fact, I just started rowing! Highly recommend for anyone who is having chronic pain, needs overall strengthening, or is struggling to get through other types of workouts. You'll love it! read more

My first Club Pilates class was a wonderful experience! It was an intermediate class taught by instructor Laura. The 50 minute total body workout went by fast. Laura assisted participants throughout the class, making personalized adjustments as necessary. The workout was mainly conducted using an apparatus called a reformer. This device allows you to do deeper stretches, while promoting strength and flexibility. This is a low impact workout and a great way to strengthen your core and other muscles. Great workout tailored to your abilities. Clean facility. Friendly staff. Instructors are helpful and motivating. Amanda is my favorite instructor. She's great at making sure you're protecting any injuries but challenges you to do your very best. She is very articulate when instructing you on each exercise, so you know exactly how to do it correctly. My Chiropractor suggested that I try Pilates. I have some low back issues that are worsened by weakness. I'm so happy to find a low impact exercise that still feels like a workout, and I'm getting stronger every week. I am not at the age where I should have knee problems. My knee problems started after a class where a new instructor didn't pay enough attention to me to tell me to change the settings on my machine. I was a newcomer also. I'm upset because the effects could be permanent and have not gone away even though it has been months. It's not worth permanently damaging your BODY if instructors can't be considerate enough about that. It hurts. read more

Took a free session. Something about the lighting in this place that made me really sick. I don't know if anyone else has experienced it. The bright light coming thru the door from the sides cos of big wall in the center partially blocking it and then the dim blue lights inside feels as if they are trying to put you off to sleep. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis which is an autoimmune disease that literally attacks my joints. I had always worked out regularly, whether it be kick boxing, hot yoga, normal gym stuff or even reformer pilates in the past. Soon as I got diagnosed my energy was zapped between kids and work I didn't have it in me to do much more. I had gotten to the point I was in pain morning and night and so stiff getting off the couch was a chore. Then I got a flyer in the mail about club pilates coming to Folsom. From my past experience with pilates I was hopeful I could turn things around. I've been coming religiously 5-6 days a week for over a year now. I might take Advil once or twice a week, other than that I only take a multivitamin specifically for autoimmune disease. My flexibility is unbelievable in comparison, my strength and muscle tone are great and overall I feel like I have a normal life.
