The room we practiced in had a huge open window with natural lighting, which made it very relaxing. I tried the Slow Flow class, and felt a release of anxiety and tension during and after. My mother suffers from PTSD so when she called to tell them that she no longer had an income to pay for her membership, firstly, it took over a week for her to actually get someone on the phone after asking to be called back. Only for them to tell her that she, MY ELDERLY MOTHER, would need to come IN PERSON to cancel her membership!! When she informed me of how panicked she felt having to do this after over a week of already trying to cancel, I decided to give them a call. They were extremely unpleasant to speak to and adamant that MY ELDERLY MOTHER, riddled with panic over this situation, would still have to come in person to cancel. After hanging up the phone, I informed my mother to call her bank and block payments, i will add, this was after multiple attempts by Hotworx of trying to charge her card after she had begged them not to. MY ELDERLY MOTHER, BEGGED them not to charge her card. Today, writing this review, it is months later at this point and my mother is still being harassed by this company. But one voice remains clear in my mind to this day, and that's Becky Klett's. Even now, having not seen her in years I still hear her reminding me to align my feet, rotate my hips and isometrically pull my legs together. Her unwavering focus on alignment and proper approach to difficult poses continues to help me in classes where other teachers fail to mention the dangers. This knowledge has kept me from ever physically hurting my body in a yoga class, and it's invaluable. I also like the light and unobtrusive spiritual touch that Becky brings to classes. Regardless of spiritual background, everyone would like to leave a yoga class feeling more centered, more calm, more focused. I always got that in her classes, and I always appreciated the effort she put into making a personal dedication to each class. While never needing them myself, I also saw her give appropriate adjustments for students with injuries or other physical issues. Yoga teachers abound these days; truly gifted ones are a rare gem. Thankfully, ClassPass has made this so much easier to switch it UP! As a part time fitness instructor with a very strong routine, I constantly find myself craving variety. This place has been on my hit list for a while and I was so happy to be able to finally go last night! And boy, am I glad I did. I tried the hot vinyasa class with Lesa and it was 60 minutes of hot and sweaty bliss. The room was packed and the VYBE was jumping! I was warmly greeted and even though I arrived a few minutes before class Lesa greeted me happily and showed me the ropes. They have towels and water/beverages for purchase. BYO yoga mat but they have those as well. The salt lamps in the studio were a beautiful touch and so were the essential oils. I parked my mat pretty close to the diffuser so I was LOVING the aromatherapy while I got my yoga on. Lesa's class was a booty kicker but she also broke it down and provided modifiers for those of us who aren't so limber but aspire to be (raises hand). Blame my tight endurance athlete hamstrings. At the end of the 60 minutes they provide you with essential oil infused cold towels. The Lakeside area is the perfect location, surrounded by luxury living as well as an abundance of retail shops. The community seems very tight knit here as well. Thankful I was able to come here and cannot wait to use my ClassPass to return for another hot class soon and very soon!!
