Found this little gem. My husband started getting his hair cut here. They also do simple women's cuts, no layers. That's exactly what I wanted. Tina also cut my daughter's butt length hair, we usually pay more because it's so long. She charged me the same price. They are quick and seem to have numerous regular customers. The Barbers here are knowledgeable at their craft. The prices are fair and start at $14, but change depending on the type of cut you get. For instance, I do a military style cut (short on the sides and finger length on top with a high fade) and this runs me $18. They are very fast, so you don't have to wait long either. So far I have had 4 different barbers cut my hair and each session met my request with professionalism. Ben is very warm and friendly, and each one of the barbers have started conversations with me as they cut my hair. Very little wait time and a quick and affordable haircut. The staff and owner are Asian, perhaps Vietnamese. I didn't speak very much as I did not want to burden them while they were busy with patrons. The place was as clean as a Supercuts salon. I paid $16 for a fade. Saw the sign showing that the barber shop had reopened. Had driven past a number of times but haven't timed my visits back to HB to need a hair cut. This time around, I was long past due for a trim and decided to give CN barber a try. So let's start with the positives. Cut is relatively inexpensive for the area at $14. The shop's atmosphere is good and there appeared to be a lot of traffic on a Monday morning which means they have a steady clientele. All good signs for a first visit. However, make sure you communicate absolutely clearly to the barber and double check that there is clear understanding on the details before letting them start. I showed several photos of my past cuts to the female barber and then followed up by confirm that I was looking for a #2 fade on the side. She then confirms that she'll use a #6 on top which is ok for a tight trim. However the detail that was missed between us is that I currently had a squarish cut with sufficiently long bangs for spiking or a comb over. Things start out well and I can tell she does a good job of both the off the neck and around the ear trim. However when we go up top, instead of trimming down according the current style and those shown in the photos, she nukes edges and eliminates the bangs. The blend is great, but it's not what I was looking for or what was shown to her in the photos. The barber stated that she couldn't see clearly from my photos as it was dark. Yes one of the photos had a dark background but not the other 4-5 shown. She offered to make the correction next time. Well, it'll take at least 3 months for the hair to grow back long enough to make those adjustments. I've had a buzz cut before so it's not the end of the world, but this review is about communication and meeting customer expectations. You may get better results if you are more specific and double check things before the shears get going, but I'll have to think long and hard before I again offer them my patronage. read more

What a gem of place! They did such a good job on my son's hair - and they're really great about walk ins and are the fade experts! My son wanted a zero fade (I had no idea what that is) and he's hated all his hair cuts previously at other barbers that charge double and were dismissive of what he wanted because he's a kid. This is the best deal in Huntington for a men's cut and color. It cost me $35 and the barber did a very thorough job leaving my hair with not one gray. They charge a little less if you bring your own hair dye but imo their stuff is better than just for men. read more

So back again but under new ownership with Ben (owner). Absolutely great experience and especially from a personal level. Ben took me right in and was extremely personable, polite, friendly, and kind. He took his time but was efficient and made me look sharp! After the cut he gave me a sample of hair styling cream (on the house) that has since worked well for me. Truly appreciate that! I returned recently a couple weeks after my cut with Ben and his mama, Tina, ended up cutting my hair and she delivered by giving me an amazing haircut!!I'd have to say it was one of my best cuts in a long time!! Friendly service and people. Good conversation and that's it. Our experience was waiting for an hour just to end up asking for a complete head shave because the young man did not listen to the request made " mid skin fade" which is a common hair cut for men. He was busy talking the whole time instead of focusing on the haircut requested by the customer and trying to convince the customer into accepting the style that the barber decided was better did not fly with us. We paid $14 for a shaved head because that's what we do, we pay for the service but don't try to convince us that a "pretty boy cut" for a grown man looks good. Ben is by far the best barber I've ever been to. I'm 46, 5'11, 250 lbs, a fat diabetic face, swollen from too many fat chick suck marks on my neck or what, but I went into look good for a job interview and this absolute boss barber made me look like $500 bucks when all I had was $20. This place is great for a cheap haircut with great barbers. It's a nice chill vibe and they get your hair done quick. It's not like these other barbers that charge $30 plus. The most they'll charge here is $18 which is very reasonable compared to other barbers in hb! I've gone here a handful of times and they always get my hair done right and quick. I have been going there for many years before the current owners took over. With the new owners thing have certainly changed. Don't be shocked if the $14 price on the window isn't the price you get charged. The price that the advertise on the window is not the price of the haircut. The price seems to change depending on the mood of the owner and her son. My last haircut was $2 more then the month prior with nothing done different. It also seems like they are brining in furniture that they find discarded to furnish the shop. Really classy with the hand written signs. So sad that the previous owners sold the shop. read more
