Will be going back here. We had the steamed as well as the fried pork belly buns. They were both good although I recommend the steamed. One of the fried buns had absolutely no pork belly in it literally sauce and carrots.. thats mainly the reason for the 3 stars instead of 4.. we tried a few rolls all very good also tried the short bah mi sandwich.. the short rib was shredded very fine a little more than my liking. The domestic beer and wine selection is pretty limited.. we sat at the bar and Tara was amazing super friendly and polite and great at her job. Hopefully next time my pork belly bun will have pork belly in it so I can add a star. also the decor is nice and its kid friendly. read more

It was pretty good, but not completely Authentic. I know it's a fusion restaurant, so I expected it to be a bit Americanized. For a starter, we got the crab Rangoon and it was absolutely delicious!! Spicier than I expected. We got dumpling as well, and my stomach did not like those. I got chicken pho and my husband got the Korean beef bowl, and they both were good portions and had delicious aromas. My husband's bowl was good, but just a little bit too salty (I think it was the rice). My pho was okay. It had only three strips of chicken, so that really disappointed me. And it lacked flavors and almost seemed kinda bland. Also, this is not really a big deal but they don't have plastic chop sticks, only wood ones! It was weird eating with wood chopsticks and they got all soggy.... the atmosphere was cool and relaxed and our service was very attentive. 5 stars on that part. If I could leave a review with no stars I absolutely would . Long story short THERE WAS A HAIR IN MY FOOD AGAIN !!!!! DO NOTAND I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO THIS FRAUD ASIAN RESTAURANT. I went in yesterday to order the some Fried Rice and Thai Green Curry . I ordered the rice in the kids portion because the regular portion is just too big . The rice took over 20 minutes to come out . When it did I had to send it back because all of the TOFU was carcinogenic! Not to mention we got the Thai Green curry came out before everything and we ordered it 15 minutes after everything. Now the icing on the cake was when I got the food and got to the bottom of my bowl to realize the was a small brown hair . Completely disgusted. This is the third time I've seen this happen here ... never to me but overhearing other people . I guess the manager a very unpleasant and sleezily dressed Asian woman SOO , saw me take a picture of the food and the assistant manager to ask me not to return to the restaurant. Someone call the health inspector if this is how they do business. GO TO YAMA wayyy better food , better staff , and better health rating! read more

Tried the new CO at Waverly Tuesday night. The food was excellent, definitely recommend the small plates. We had the beef and kimchi dumplings and the tuna poke, both were excellent. We also shared the firecracker roll and the beef pho. My wife liked the dark peach cocktail. Our server was excellent, and bar service was excellent too. This is such a tough review because I actually love the food. The atmosphere is great and the people are nice. This reason I am rating this restaurant a 3 is because there seems to be a disconnect with the kitchen and the menu. I am vegan and half the time when I order (especially delivery) I don't get the right thing. It's like the kitchen doesn't know there is a vegan menu. And sometimes the sauce is not included in your Togo orders. If I could make a recommendation to management it would be to make sure the staff knows the difference between vegan menu items and regular menu items. It sucks to get a meal you can't eat. Or get an appetizer you have no dipping sauce for. I would also recommend managers check to go orders to be sure everything is in there. read more

Checked out Co on a whim tonight and overall it was a pretty good experience . Ordered takeout using ChowNow and ordered the beef pho, beef and kimchi dumplings, and cheesecake wontons . The hostess was pretty nice when I walked in. My food was ready on time which was nice . However, for Waverly to have been so busy there weren't a whole lot of people there . Maybe a slow night ? Idk. Definitely a cute place. Seems great for a date night or a night out with friends . Love the art on the walls. Very modern ambiance. Anyways, on to the food . The dumplings are amazing ! Super flavorful and while I felt that they could've had a little more Kimchi flavor in them, I still loved them . The wontons were a little on the small side, but again were a tasty treat to cap off a meal. Will definitely be ordering both again. The reason I give this place a 4/5 is mainly due to the Pho. The broth to me wasn't seasoned enough in comparison to some other Phos I've had . Was it bad? No. Great? Also no. I had to add quite a few things to give it a flavor . Once I did tho it turned out pretty good. At $14 I was just expecting a little more. Maybe it just wasn't a great batch? I'm down to try another bowl and see. Absolute WORST SERVICE EVER and even worse management! We came in yesterday with our family for what we hoped to be a great night with awesome food and laughs. We were seated at our table and waited for approximately 20 minutes for someone to take our drink orders. We eventually flagged down the manager who took our drink orders for us since our server was no where to be found. Our waitress then came over (after seeing the manager in our area) to ask for our drink orders (which we placed with the manager). She was unapologetic and seemingly annoyed with us being there. I asked if we could place our order which we did. The order came out (not by the waitress but by someone else....perfectly cool. Nothing out the ordinary here). Our issue is the waitress never came back to check if the order was accurate, if we needed anything additional, or if we were happy. We saw her checking on SEVERAL specific customers MULTIPLE times but never ONCE checking on us since we placed our order. At this point everyone wants refills so what do we do? Flag down another waiter who was not assigned to our table. Basically we went to CO and paid them to treat us like peasants. I spoke with the manager towards the end of our service and all she offered was having someone else bring us our bill. Of gee, thanks manager. Great job. This place is clearly prejudice. This terrific Asian fusion restaurant, with 2 locations in Charlotte, is one of the coolest spots in town to settle in for some delicious sushi and a great local brew in a cool, family-friendly setting. Stopping by their new Waverly location on a recent evening, my family and I enjoyed Crispy Spring Rolls, along with amazing Super Crunch and Firecracker Rolls. The ambiance is classing but not too upscale, the service was excellent, and the beer selection fairly impressive, with more than a few local favorites on tap. Well worth a visit. read more

The bartender Tara is so inappropriate, I've heard her multiple times saying derogatory and unnecessary comments about the individuals dining in. To top it all off I just watched the manager Christine turn away this African American woman because she was black . Simply stating how she didn't want to serve her. Gave the girl no explanation. A little disappointed with my take out order. Got the drunken tahi noodles and there was no cilantro. Got the Pad Thai dish and ordered chicken and sausage and there wasn't any sausage in it. Only found one slice of jalapeño. Definitely won't do take out again read more

Frequented the Park Rd location pretty regularly & also order from them through Postmates. Visited the Waverly location & was shocked at how bad the experience was. The service was really slow and the waitstaff was so apathetic it was almost hostile. The food was not the quality we expected either. And the cleanliness level of the floor to the seats to the table was more like a dishwasher room than a dining room. This whole front of house felt very put out and back of house. It was almost as gross as a backwater fishcamp buffet. read more

My family loves this place as much as I do. They truly have a grasp on the overly used "Asian fusion" label. Their curry laksa is the best thing hands down on the menu; however, the com chien, drunken noodles, pho, ramen, curry shrimp, Malaysian wings (marinated in coconut milk), sushi offerings, spicy pork tacos, dumplings, and many others are all hard for us to choose from. The ownership and staff are always welcoming to us and make us feel at home. Also a great location if you have little ones for the play area outside. Our 5 year old says that this is his favorite place and we go about 3 times a week. read more

My adult son has a peanut & tree nut allergy, and we didn't notice the little red peanut symbol next to the Spicy Beef Pho he ordered. He had an allergic reaction about 30 minutes after we left, and we had to dose him up with Benadryl. Thankfully, he's fine, but we had NO IDEA that anything he ingested had peanuts in it. I do wish the menu was more blatant about things that contain peanuts -- it was not listed in the description of the item, just had a little red peanut symbol next to it. I was traveling for work, craving sushi so I stopped here for dinner on a Monday night, sat at the bar and had a lovely time. Ordered a glass of the Chardonnay and enjoyed the beef kimchi dumplings which were so delicious, just the right amount of spice. I also ordered some sushi, one was the firecracker roll and I can't remember the name of the other one but it was something with spicy salmon. Ok, so I'm updating my review because I found out the reason that my husband and I were not served was because the health inspectors had been conducting their inspection. Bad timing IMHO, to conduct inspection on a Sat afternoon right in the middle of lunch hour, but who am I to say. Anyway, CO balance was responsive and I gave them another shot. The Park Road Location this time. I went with my daughter on a Wed night. Service was excellent. Seated right away and the server was very pleasant and accommodating. My daughter ordered the Pad Thai and I ordered the Korean Rice Bowl. My daughter looked the Pad Thai. My bowl was just OK. That's my fault though, the server did try to steer me away from it, saying that the Curry Laska was the way to go...oh well, next time. I will definitely give them another try. And will probably change my review again ;-) read more

We have been here a few times before and wasn't too impressed but today was awesome. Great food, awesome service and speed in getting food out. The manager, Shane, came by as we were waiting to place our orders and made a few suggestions. He told me about their new playa bowl--one of their poke bowls. It was awesome--I am a vegetarian so I didn't get the fish on it but he brought me a side of plain tofu to balance it out. If you like spicy food, this bowl is for you. It was creamy and spicy and well-balanced. I totally recommend but beware it lights your mouth on fire. Definitely going back there! read more

Happy hour was packed! A lot of people were getting half an hour wait times. It was so packed we had to share a six top table with two other people. We were very nervous because we got sat 5 minutes before happy hour was over. Thank goodness our waitress was very nice, helpful and fast. We got our orders put in before it ended. There is also a small sheet for appetizers that are also half price I believe that you can order during this time as well. We got several items including the bao bun, tuna tacos, tuna tataki, dumplings, katsu chicken slider, warty roll, super crunch roll, lemon salmon roll, Kobe beef roll, rainbow roll etc. I didn't really enjoy the super crunch roll because it was laid in a red sauce in a bowl that tasted like hot sauce to me and I just didn't think it mixed well with that roll. Hot sauce on my raw fish just isn't my thing. Either the pork belly roll or the Kobe roll also had a sauce I didn't really care for. The Wagyu I was disappointed with because for being cooked it was very chewy and upon asking I was informed that it was not Japanese Wagyu but American Wagyu. Overall though I had a good experience and left satisfied. We got to look at the menu beforehand so when we got sat we ordered everything we wanted. There is no limit to how much you can order at a time. We were also able to bring home our last roll free of charge. Our waiter did an adequate job but could have checked in more (there was not a lot of people) and I probably would have bought another beer. Food was great! We were excited to see that there were non-pork gyoza on the menu, and when we tried the edamame gyoza, they were excellent! I also had the Korean Rice Bowl and my husband had the Pho - we enjoyed both! Also, there appeared to be quite a few families with kids in the restaurant, which is good for us, as we had our one year old with us! Our waitress was also super friendly in explaining the specials to us at the beginning of our meal. The hostess at the front of the restaurant though was really unpleasant...she seemed angry and did not bring us a high chair when we asked for one. My friends and I went to CO for lunch today and received the BEST service! It was beautiful out and we were wanting to sit in the sun and they were more than willing to take our orders as takeout. They brought us water out, lent us silverware, had everything labeled neatly (super important to me since I have celiac and disorganized meals are so dangerous for me!)...and the food was INCREDIBLE with enough for leftovers!! We keep going back to how incredible our meal was on a hard day and it was all thanks to the fantastic food service team at CO!! read more

Although I did not eat at this restaurant, the time that I spent there is the reason for my review. I was super excited about going to CO for dinner with my best friend on Friday. When I arrived, I really liked that the restaurant was adjacent to the play area. It was a little different entering the restaurant though, the front entrance door was on the patio so I was a little confused. Walking I immediately began looking for my friend because she mentioned she had just arrived at the restaurant. When I didn't see her I walked to the host desk to see if she may have made a reservation. The host wasn't friendly at all with assisting with my table as my friend had not exactly arrived. Then I immediately noticed the horrible food score 92.0 and the date on the scorecard was April 25, 2018. If this was a new restaurant, that's not good at all! We walked over to the available table and I began snapping photos and checking out the space. Then when my friend called, we realized she was at the Park Road location and I was at the Providence location. I was honestly releaved and willing to make the drive to join her at that location. I don't think I could have truly stomached the 92.0 food score, a few of the reviews I read beam to be true about this location. If you would like to try CO i would suggest the Park Road location it wa great and the amazing bar tree is beautiful. read more

The management in this location is unprofessional & untimely. The staff beneath Jeremih or Jeremiah is even more unprofessional and lack customer service skills. We were misquoted on a wait time (from 45 to 90min for a party of 5) & had waited an additional 40 minutes to receive our food & drinks once seated. When I explained this all to the manager, he had no resolution aside from a free dessert that we declined. I've been to the Park Rd location several times and I've never had a dull moment. I'm extremely disappointed. Due to managements lack of resolution, the server had to face the consequence which makes me question the overall integrity and culture of this Co location. I wouldn't waste a dollar or a minute visiting this place again. It doesn't even deserve 1 star. read more

Have dined at this location numerous times and have always have had a pleasant experience...Tonight was the exception. My boyfriend and I were hoping to have a cocktail at the bar and order some sushi rolls for take-out. There was plenty of open seating at the bar so we took a seat. I had to greet the bartender and ask her how she was doing. Her response, "I'm good." Nothing back. She handed us menus and I let her know that we were hoping to order take-out. She walked away and my boyfriend and I were left waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Due to the rude bartender, we made the decision to leave. We ventured to another restaurant in the area for take out and cocktails. The experience was very disappointing. Co was already a favorite spot of mine but my experience tonight made me love it even more! I brought my boyfriend here for his first time and we had the pleasantry of being served by the GM, Shane. Shane was so awesome!! Holy F'ing shizz what a nightmare this place is. After their phone is working, I ordered over Instagram only to not receive the confirm email as referenced. I show up to the restaurant only to hear the order has been canceled, despite the credit card being charged. I work with the manager to reorder the food. However, after an hour waiting for the food they short changed me 4 different items. Then I try to call and let them know, but of course the phone isn't working.
