First time. I could've done without this visit. The drink was subpar. Pomegranate Rum Punch didn't taste like rum or a punch but had lots of pomegranate floating around. Like, a lot. CO is a place that I can tell takes pride in consistency! I have been many times, and they never disappoint. From the stellar customer service to its welcoming ambiance, it's a great place to go for a fancy date night, or a chill evening with your friends. My favorite dish is the Curry Laksa! I am not big on spicy food, but this Thai noodle dish does an excellent job of combining some mild heat from the yellow curry with the light, yet rich, flavors of the coconut milk broth. The moment it touched my lips I said, Toi thich (I like). We enjoyed a bottle before we ordered our sushi and it was so tasty that we ordered another. We ordered the Firecracker, Obi Tempura, Kung Fu Crunch and as Scotty P might say, I had no ragrets. The Obi Tempura was my favorite; I now know why Obi- Wan Kenobi once said, "the Force is great with this one," he was speaking about CO! Still 5 star. We met for dinner here last night and it was a crazy good value during happy hour (4-7p). Everything we ordered was either half price or reduced price for happy hour. We ordered a carafe of the lychee sake, 2 specialty rolls, the wings, the bahn mi slider and 2 tuna tacos under $40 before tip. The lychee sake was so delicious, I would gladly order it next time we visit. Both rolls we ordered were fresh and beautifully presented. The wings were an order of 6 and they were the only thing I wouldn't get again. The bahn mi slider was so good I couldn't stop eating it! It was fantastic, spicy and crunchy. What I got was fried rice that was MUSH because it was in a DEEP pool of grease 2) instead of the salad I got the ramen, but they were good here because they did quickly replaced. This is actually my second time at this restaurant and my experience was just as pleasant as the first. Tonight was their 3 year anniversary and they were offering $3, $4, and $5 dishes. Our waitress was extremely helpful in accommodating our large party of 10. We needed extra chairs added to the table and the manager got them right away. I ordered the spicy crab Rangoon and the wasabi wings. Both appetizers were superb! I had ordered the Curry Laksa dish which was chicken, rice noodles, shredded cucumber, Thai basil, baby bok choy and coconut broth. They had a specialized menu with the discounted prices for the evening, and it didn't have all of the ingredients listed. Therefore I was unaware of the peanuts in the dish. First time trying Vietnamese/Asian fusion anything and CO did not disappoint! I ordered the pad Thai with shrimp and I removed the peanuts. It was so flavorful and the shrimp was well cooked (some places don't cook shrimp all the way through causing it to be chewy) anywho, on Wednesday's they have cocktails for $5 and I ordered the pomegranate rum punch which was refreshing. Beware of extra fees they add to your bill without your knowledge. I will admit that the food at CO is good. I have dined in, or ordered take out several times over the last few years. I was very disappointed tonight to find that they added a "to go fee" to the order I called in. When I spoke with the manager about it he would only say it was a corporate decision. My family (of 6) orders take out multiple times a week from restaurants here in Charlotte, and this is the only one I've come across that has that fee, and more importantly adds it without telling customers. I only discovered it when I asked for an itemized receipt on my way out. That fee should be communicated upfront when orders are placed. I ordered the beef potstickers which were delicious, the potstickers themselves don't taste like anything but the kimchi was great! I did order everything to go btw using the yelp app. I also ordered the Korean rice bowl, which I guess is supposed to be bibimbap. It was ok. The beef was more like an afterthought because it was so little! The rice wasn't crunchy either so I was pretty disappointed. I ordered online and had requested brown rice. I had even changed my initial order from the noodles to the thai basil chicken because I figured brown rice is healthier. They didn't have brown rice and didn't let me know either! The Thai basil chicken was like two spoonfuls of the meat and loads of rice. The taste was just ok. Maybe they just have really small helpings with take away orders? If that's it then it's completely wrong! I didn't order the spicy beef pho because pho is never good in take away food. I guess their take away food isn't great period! It's not often that I eat out and feel the need to review something immediately!! However I feel sick... not sick the food was bad, but sick because I ate too darn much haha! My bff and I have decided that we are going to try to visit a new restaurant, (aka new to us), once a month. We started tonight at CO because our slacker selves hadn't exchanged Christmas presents yet. I know, terrible!! I should preface this by saying I love Asian food, minus anything alive or particularly squiggly, I'm into it all and this menu has a bit of everything. I ordered the Orange Blossom cocktail to start while I perused the menu. It was delicious and sneaks up on you while you drink it. I also later tried the pineapple/aperol drink. It wasn't as good. We took a long time to order because we couldn't figure out what to get (we wanted it all), However order we did. To start with I got the spicy crab Rangoon and she got the beef and kimchi dumplings. Both were really good, but be warned the Rangoon comes out molten hot (I burned the roof of my mouth lol). We couldn't decide between sushi and an entree so we decided we would each get both. I went with the pressed spicy tuna roll (good but not mind blowing), and she the caterpillar roll (she said it was good, I don't like eel). Now when it comes to entrees I hands down made the better choice! I went with the Korean rice bowl and it was so, sooo good, seriously the beef was perfectly cooked and all of the veggies were flavorful. The pickled carrots were love!! My bff went with the chicken Katsu banh mi. She liked it, but if I was her I would have had food envy!! Then we got dessert (did I mention we ate way too much food??). One tip, currently if you check in on Yelp you get an offer for a free dessert. We went with the cheesecake wontons, and they were amazing! Four small perfectly portioned wontons with what can only be described as orange blossom cheesecake, and candied orange rinds. I personally was in heaven. The decor was nice, but not very comfortable. I seriously hate this trend of everyone having just high top tables. I'm short, not graceful, and I can't get in them without looking like an idiot. Luckily by the front window they had regular tables with little square cushion seats without backs. Overall I liked this place a lot... our waitress was nice but REALLY slow on service. I am very frustrated with the management of the Charlotte/ park road location. I had their signature curry spilled all over me back on February 6, 2022. I understand mistakes happen and was told that it would be made right. I have stayed calm and I have multiple emails of me attempting to contact the manager Jess (who said she would pay for the dry cleaners) and who also gave me a fake email at the beginning. The other manager Sue, gave me attitude and said they would not be doing that (she should never speak to customers the way she spoke to me. ESPECIALLY about a situation she knew nothing about. She said they "may give me gift cards"). When I finally got to speak with Jess, (after multiple attempts), she said she was taking it to her manager. That was on April 11th and no one ever got back to me, even though I have tried to contact her since. Over 100$ worth of clothing is ruined, and I can no longer get bc those clothes are no longer made, along with me getting stuck with a 57$ dry cleaning bill that was promised to me. Nothing has been settled and or handled and it is almost May!! This is the definition of terrible customer service and I will never support any of these locations unless someone makes this right!! read more

If you're looking for authentic Asian food, I would second guess coming here. Group of friends and I came here Friday night not too long ago. Ordered "boba" tea. I've had my fair share and this was the most bland boba tea drink I've ever had. I couldn't believe I paid for that. I might as well have ordered water. I was ready to order something I saw someone else got from social media and come to find out then they changed up their menu. So, I settled and ordered another soup noodle dish. I was highly disappointed. I didn't taste a lot of the Asian flavors. The soup was very oily. Proportions weren't good. I had way more noodles than meat. I couldn't even stomach more than 2 bites. The pressed sushi with lemon and salmon is very very good. It's fresh and light and a little different. Their vegan menu is very limited which is disappointing and they don't list all the ingredients on the menu so if you have food restrictions you will have to ask a few questions to sort out what is actually in each item. My family and I are regular customers at CO and usually we have no issues. But this last time we had such a terrible experience that we will not be returning. First and foremost, we had a 25 minute wait that turned into almost an hour long wait, and due to covid we had to wait outside for that long in the cold with an infant. It would have been a longer wait if it wasn't for my daughter who gave the manager, named Soo, an idea of adding 1 more chair to an already empty table. It's clearly not that hard to problem solve but for some reason it was too complicated for them to have come up with the idea themselves in order to make their customers more comfortable. We also had to wait an extremely long time for our food to come out and by the time we received it, the restaurant was 10 minutes from closing. Mind you, we arrived almost 2 hours before the restaurant closed. It's not like the restaurant was over crowded so I'm not sure why it took so long to receive our meals. The most frustrating part was that our meals looked as if they were prepared with the scraps the kitchen had left over. For example there was barely any tempura on the tempura rolls we ordered. It looked like it was lightly dusted versus covered in it. The waitress didn't even ask if we wanted dessert or anything else. She just brought out the check and started to pack our meals. I told her that we needed separate checks so then she stopped and told us to box our own meals because we needed to be out of the restaurant in 9 minutes. You could tell the manager was rushing the waitress which made her rush us. This caused us to have an unenjoyable and very awkward dinner. At one point , I wasn't aware that my dish contained wakame and I decided to remove it from my dish. The waitress noticed and rudely said "Next time, order it without wakame". In conclusion, if the staff would have had better problem solving and time management skills, we would have been able to eat and leave long before the restaurant closed. Not once did the manager apologize for any of the inconvenience. If anything she was a big part of the inconvenience we experienced and she was not friendly at all. She seemed to not care at all about our table and had no empathy whatsoever! We are very disappointed with the customer service and our horrible experience this time around.
