The line was a bit long but the cinnamon roll was excellent and enjoyed by all! It will be nice to see this space as they update. The rolls are swimming in cinnamon goodness. They are soft and large enough to share half. Not something you would eat everyday (oh gosh) but a special worthwhile treat. Yum!

Super friendly staff, handled a busy crowd efficiently. The cinnamon rolls were a good size ($9 for one roll & they offer gluten free rolls for $9.25 each). Not too sweet and you can add extra frosting for $1. The brioche rolls were soft & fluffy, I would definitely return!

Worth the hype! Was visiting Newport for a weekend. The line does move along so if you are willing to wait 15-20 min, I would recommend you try the cinnamon buns here.

Let me start by saying that Co-Dough is certainly worth the hype. Newport is about a 45 minute ride for us, so we waited for a warm and sunny day to take a trip down to walk around and shop and eat our way around town. Co-Dough is located inside the Market on Broadway, a place that sells bottled drinks, convenience store staples, and refrigerated prepared foods. While the sourdough cinnamon buns were the star of the show, we also picked up a few of their brioche donuts, brioche rolls, and sourdough loaf. They also offer made to order breakfast and lunch sandwiches, which sounded delicious. Added bonus: there's a small parking lot on site, that holds about 8 cars, which makes popping into the market very easy.

This was our first time in and I'm sure it won't be our last. The line was long, but kept moving. The staff is friendly. The cinnamon buns are huge. There are a bit pricey, but well worth the cost. Not much for ambiance and no seating there. The buns were constantly coming out of the oven, and were nice and warm when we ate them. Well worth the trip!

This place was inside a grocery store where there's a line to get cinnamon rolls and then you pay, so there wasn't any seating inside. The staff were really nice and patient. I went around 2 pm and their specialty cinnamon roll (vanilla bean flavored) was already sold out. I thought the cinnamon rolls were just okay, they're pretty big but for $9 they weren't definitely overpriced and not really worth it.

Ik this place has been blowing up, so I'm sure people have waited in long lines to get this but that was not my experience! We went around 12:30 and there was no line! We got one of the last 3 cinnamon rolls, but they still had plenty of donuts left (not sure if they would restock the cinnamon rolls). Staff was so so nice. The cinnamon roll is super fluffy and the bottom on coated in a cinnamon sauce almost that's amazing. Id def be back, but they're super indulgent. They accept Apple Pay too

Holy cow - this is the BEST cinnamon roll I have ever had! We search for these on vacation and this has beat all of our other spots (except for that Lewis, DE place I hope I reviewed). The girls that worked here were so sweet also. This is a do not miss for Newport, RI. I'm kind of glad I don't have full access to these by living here! Amazing amazing cinnamon roll!!!

Worth the hype -- and then some. Stopped by Co Dough today and finally tried their famous sourdough cinnamon buns... and wow. They absolutely live up to the buzz. The bun was perfectly soft and pillowy inside with that subtle sourdough depth that keeps it from being overly sweet. The cinnamon filling was rich and balanced, and whatever magic they do before baking (you can literally watch it happen) makes the whole thing insanely tender and indulgent without feeling heavy. You can tell a lot of care goes into the process -- this isn't just a cinnamon bun, it's thoughtfully made. Even with how popular the place is, everything felt intentional and high quality. The service was friendly and efficient, even with how busy it was - everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there and proud of what they're serving. The space itself is not your typical bakery feel. It's set up in the middle of a market until they find a different spot to serve their customers. If you're in Newport and even thinking about stopping here, do it. I'll definitely be back.. probably sooner than I should

I was scrolling through my explore page on Instagram when these soft and gooey cinnamon rolls captivated my attention. I immediately made plans to drive down. My friend and I got there around 11:30 after doing the Newport cliff walk. We found street parking, but were a bit confused on where it was. We walked up and down the block at least 3 times before seeing a small paper sign in the window of the market advertising co-dough. We went inside, and my heart sank when I saw the trays behind the counter were empty. The person behind the counter must've known what I was there for because she told us the next batch would be available at noon. We decided to walk around and at around 11:57 when we were circling back, we saw a line of people out the door. We sprinted to get a place in line. The entire time, I was anxious they'd run out right when we got to the front as I consider myself a very unlucky person. However, we secured two cinnamon buns at around 12:20. The line does curl around the inside, but it's entertaining to look at the snacks they sell and inhale the sweet cinnamon smell. When they're serving, they make sure to add some of the extra sauce that stays on the tray for added goodness. My friend and I ran to the car and we each took the biggest bite. It was very soft, sweet, and magical. In less than 5 minutes it was gone. A glass of milk would have made the experience even better. They might have had milk in the fridges in the back, but I think my advice would be to have them sell milk up front - it would be a HIT! It was worth the drive and wait. Each one is $8, but they're pretty big, filling, and delicious so it did not hurt my pockets.

This hidden gem is tucked inside Market Broadway and a must go! They have the BEST cinnamon rolls. I found them through Instagram and the hype lived up to it for sure. The cinnamon rolls are soft, chewy, and sweet. The icing is delicious and they offer a side of icing for just $1. The service is quick. This is a whole in the wall but the cinnamon rolls speak for itself!

Cinnamon buns fresh out of the oven. Friendly staff. Be prepared to wait in a long line! Great music while you wait though!

Came here after seeing the viral cinnamon rolls online. They lived up to the hype for me. Customer service was super friendly and helpful. Will be back of/when in the area.

Very fresh and honestly, very affordable for the aesthetic, quality, and taste. Plus the service is great. I've had their pastas, entrees, apps, pizza, and drinks and there is nothing you can go wrong with. My personal favorites is their kale salad, chianti marsala braised beef and mushroom tagliatelle. Again, the quality is great and everything is seasoned/ flavored well. Plus their pastas are homemade! They also give free bread, who doesn't love that? I cannot recommend this place enough. She was nice enough to let me try them and I chose the Trevino which was very good and paired great with my food. The bread was nothing special but solid and the high quality olive oil made up for it. For my main I got the chicken milanese and it was divine. I loved the vinaigrette on top perfectly acidic and vinegary. It cut though the oil and heaviness of the breading which was perfectly salted by the way. The arugula bean salad was sooo good and created such a well balanced meal. The one thing I will say is I believe their fryer does fish and chicken bc my chicken had a slight ocean taste but since I like fish I was not bothered but non fish people beware!

One of the best meals I've had in recent memory. We sat at the bar where you can see the cooks work…read moretheir magic which set the tone wonderfully. We started off with drinks --gin dirty martini and a classic old fashion, both were perfectly made and crisp. Food: Appetizer-warm bread with butter was a nice starter. However I wish we got the escargot with bone marrow as we watched it being made it looked and smelled delicious. Entrees- we split a 27 oz ribeye and the scallops. The steak was a beautiful cut of meat, well marbled, cooked to perfection and seared so nicely. It was sooo tasty and seared with Malden salt. We are pretty snobby when it comes to steak and this was probably the best steak I've ever had out at a restaurant. The scallops similarly were cooked and seared perfectly and seasoned correctly. Laid on a bed of watercress and potato fondant it was the perfect delicate bite and contrasted nicely with the steak. We got the side of brussel sprouts with peanut Rayu which was a beautiful flavor bomb. I can't say enough about the food. Every single thing we ordered was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I find that to be a rarity in today's restaurant scene. I could not recommend this place more. We really enjoyed it and this will be used as a comparison to every restaurant I go to going forward. 6/5 stars! Come here

We started with the Caesar salad which was pretty good. We also ordered the bread and butter which was underwhelming for something so simple. For our main course, we had the bone-in ribeye steak. Unfortunately, the steak was chewy which was disappointing, especially for the price. The brown butter sauce was delicious and definitely helped. The restaurant itself is very cute inside. We were hoping to get seats at the bar so we could watch the chefs in action, but even though we ended up at a table, the atmosphere was still enjoyable.

Located in the heart of the Thames Street wharf area, this establishment features hot sauces, "from…read morewild to mild". Their exterior display caught our eye and we entered. This was at the height of tourist season, mid-August 2025. The shop is small and the single clerk was very helpful and informative about all their sauces. Their big attraction is not just their vast number of varieties from basic tame to super hot, but their hottest sauce, where they offer a challenge to those who dare. It's a sauce called Purgatory. One has to sign a release to try a free single drop sample. Several of us gave it a shot. Yes, it was incredibly hot, a sinus clearing product if there ever was one. You can keep taking free additional samples if you can handle it. If you can reach 7 sample drops, you enter their hall of fame, which is supposedly online, but I have not checked. None of our party tried more than one. Purgatory comes in an eye-catching gift box and one of our party purchased a box as a birthday gift. Have to wonder if it will be appreciated. It wasn't cheap either. Definitely worth a drop-in when walking through this area. They claim to have nearly 100 varieties (we did not count).

We started off having a good experience, tons of samples of spices and hot sauces so that as…read morecustomers we would know what we would want to buy. They have the samples all throughout the middle ring desk in the shop. There is a single product that is UNMARKED, and does NOT have a seal underneath the lid. As a customer, we would not know this. This product was placed right near all the other sample products. My partner and I opened the product, sniffed, and put it back like we did everything else. When we go to pay for something else that we wished to buy, the cashier tells us that the product we opened didn't have a seal, and that because we opened it and it wasn't a sample that we were expected to pay for it. This was two separate $22 products where they told us we did this on. This shop is running a SCAM. The owner even confirmed with the person running the shop that we had to pay for this by reviewing footage of the cameras. NEVER shop here, they don't mark products properly and I bet intentionally placed this product to try to scam people into paying for it, maybe even because it wasn't selling well. Putting something that you "can't sell once opened" with NO protective layer like every other product in the store has, RIGHT NEXT TO THE SAMPLES feels like it to me. We didn't even want this spice, it was one of the hottest spices in the entire store. They threatened to call the police on us over this when we tried to argue that it isn't our fault that they put such a product in such a bad place. NEVER SHOP HERE. We will NEVER go back, being treated like thieves when acting like a NORMAL CUSTOMER would in a shop. Over $44 worth of items that THEY FAILED to properly place, label, and advertise. This experience completely sullied our trip to Newport that WAS going well. We would have stayed and even let the police be called if we didn't have our parking meter running out soon, which would have cost us a hassle to extend further. We paid their extortion fee and left, and will NEVER COME BACK. We advise that nobody gives this shop any time of day, as they'll find a way to scam you too in a new and inventive way! Edit: they tried to reach out to me on Google reviews and said to contact corporate. I did, and no response. Still running a scam.
