The hype is real. Get in line now. We waited almost two hours for these viral cinnamon buns and while we hope we don't have to wait as long next time, we would do it again. The reason for our long wait was due to one of the ovens breaking down so only one oven was working on a busy Sunday morning. The buns aren't cheap but they're huge and enough for two people. We ended up getting a few with hopes to freeze them whenever the craving strikes. These buns are unlike anything you've had - so soft and doughy. The extra frosting is a must.
Expect a line for about 1 hour during the morning. The menu is very limited but obviously the star of the show is the cinnamon rolls. They were MASSIVE! The only wish I had is that there was more frosting. You can buy more for $1 but I expected more on it. We also tried a dagle and a vanilla filled donut, the Dagle was too greasy I couldn't even eat it and the donut had 1 drop of filling in the middle which made it hard to enjoy. The only thing I would come back for is the cinnamon rolls but with the lack of frosting, I think there are better elsewhere.
If there's one line in Newport that's worth waiting in, it's this one. There's nothing I love more than a place that takes a few things and does them extremely well instead of trying to overextend themselves like some restaurants. Coming into this place you know that you are going to have the best cinnamon roll of your life and they do not disappoint. These things are massive! Highly recommend getting the extra frosting too because it's soooo worth it. The dough is so pillowy and the cinnamon sugar combo wrapped inside is delicious. 10/10 no notes. Had to also try the donut and it was very tasty too! I don't think you can go wrong with anything they make there as long as you at least leave with one cinnamon roll. It seems like it's also wheelchair accessible but the way the line is structured you would have to have someone waiting in line for you in order to get in so thats something to think about. The line forms before the store even opens so get there at least 30 minutes early!
1000% worth the hype for these cinnamon rolls! After seeing all the viral videos on social media with these cinnamon rolls my expectations were super high. My husband stopped by an hour before they closed and I assumed they would all be sold out but he was lucky enough to snag 2 that were pre packaged and ready to go. I wish they did the icing drizzle thing at the top like in the videos but considering these were the very last ones I totally understand why this wasn't possible. Just another reason to come again! These cinnamon rolls were soft and delicious. Not only that but as big as they are they still felt light! My husband and I agreed this was the best cinnamon bun we ever had! We will definitely be back and cannot wait to try more items!
Not to exaggerate, but the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. If you don't love the hardness of some cinnamon rolls, this is the one for you. Because they are made from sourdough they are pillowy soft. Plus it's also the perfect amount of sweetness. Not overly sweet at all. It was so good my grandma (who doesn't like sweets) asked to go back for seconds.

The vanilla cream wasn't too sweet, it was so delicious and has a lot of layers to it. The raspberry filled was also yummy! The cinnamon buns were delightful, I'd eat one every single day! Not too dense or too light, the flavors weren't too sweet or cinnamon-y, just perfect all the way around. Service was great and we waited in line one hour, which was worth the wait. Moved quick though! The inside of the shop is being redone, I can't wait to see what it'll be like! Ambience is so comfortable inside to pick up your food and go, feels like a well run machine!
When I tell you this was the BEST cinnamon roll I've ever had, I'm not even joking. We received ones right out of the oven, and they were soooo ooey gooey and delicious! Definitely worth the wait and the hype! The ladies working the front counter are also so sweet and friendly, and they definitely deserve to be acknowledged as well! If you ever open a location on Long Island,I promise to be your most loyal customer lol
Yup. Worth it. We came on a Friday morning and waited maybe 10 minutes. We came back on a Saturday morning and waited an hour. I didn't mind because the cinnamon roll is truly that worth it.
The line was a bit long but the cinnamon roll was excellent and enjoyed by all! It will be nice to see this space as they update. The rolls are swimming in cinnamon goodness. They are soft and large enough to share half. Not something you would eat everyday (oh gosh) but a special worthwhile treat. Yum!
Let me start by saying that Co-Dough is certainly worth the hype. Newport is about a 45 minute ride for us, so we waited for a warm and sunny day to take a trip down to walk around and shop and eat our way around town. Co-Dough is located inside the Market on Broadway, a place that sells bottled drinks, convenience store staples, and refrigerated prepared foods. While the sourdough cinnamon buns were the star of the show, we also picked up a few of their brioche donuts, brioche rolls, and sourdough loaf. They also offer made to order breakfast and lunch sandwiches, which sounded delicious. Added bonus: there's a small parking lot on site, that holds about 8 cars, which makes popping into the market very easy.
Super friendly staff, handled a busy crowd efficiently. The cinnamon rolls were a good size ($9 for one roll & they offer gluten free rolls for $9.25 each). Not too sweet and you can add extra frosting for $1. The brioche rolls were soft & fluffy, I would definitely return!
Worth the hype! Was visiting Newport for a weekend. The line does move along so if you are willing to wait 15-20 min, I would recommend you try the cinnamon buns here.
I really liked the cinnamon rolls at co dough! The taste was good and very filling. We arrived an hour before close and was told they were sold out of everything. Then they brought out a box of the "reject" rolls from that day. We were told they were sold at a discount, then only got $1 off. Our bill for 2 was $21. That said, I wasn't sure why they were considered rejects, they tasted fine to me. Definitely fun to check out for a special occasion, and definitely get there earlier in the day so you can try the rolls when they are fresh. I would go back in hopes I can try the famous "Dagel". read more
Decided to stop by co-dough for their viral cinnamon rolls ! I will start by saying we made the mistake of going towards closing time like 2 pm ... and they had just ran out of the fresh rolls and were not making anymore as they were going to close soon . However the staff was nice and offered us the rejects of the day ( the ones that may have been over cooked , didn't make the cut , etc ) And offered a discount rate of only $2 off the original price ... which I didn't think was reasonable personally . The Cinnamon roll was sweet and fluffy so it tasted good .. but wasn't anything extraordinary that I would expect from a place that only sells cinnamon rolls . I would be interested in seeing more flavours , different toppings etc . Esp for the price they charge ! read more

Got there on a Thursday at 8:10 and there were about 20 customers ahead of us. Got in and out very quickly once the doors opened. The cinnamon rolls live up to the hype, the doughnuts are amazing but the stuffed everything bagel was incredible! read more

This was our first time in and I'm sure it won't be our last. The line was long, but kept moving. The staff is friendly. The cinnamon buns are huge. There are a bit pricey, but well worth the cost. Not much for ambiance and no seating there. The buns were constantly coming out of the oven, and were nice and warm when we ate them. Well worth the trip! read more
This place was inside a grocery store where there's a line to get cinnamon rolls and then you pay, so there wasn't any seating inside. The staff were really nice and patient. I went around 2 pm and their specialty cinnamon roll (vanilla bean flavored) was already sold out. I thought the cinnamon rolls were just okay, they're pretty big but for $9 they weren't definitely overpriced and not really worth it. read more
Ik this place has been blowing up, so I'm sure people have waited in long lines to get this but that was not my experience! We went around 12:30 and there was no line! We got one of the last 3 cinnamon rolls, but they still had plenty of donuts left (not sure if they would restock the cinnamon rolls). Staff was so so nice. We obviously had to try Co-Dough while we were in Newport. Surprisingly, there was absolutely no line when we stopped by, even though it was a Friday around noon. I will say that the only pastries left were the cinnamon rolls, but that worked out perfectly because that's exactly what I came for. The cinnamon roll is MASSIVE. It's served warm, fresh, doughy, fluffy, and incredibly soft. My only complaint was that the cinnamon flavor was a little too strong. I love a cinnamon-forward cinnamon roll, but the spice was just a bit too pungent for my taste. Other than that, I would 100% come back again. This place is definitely worth the hype, and I'd be willing to bet that their other sourdough-based pastries are just as good. read more
Worth the hype -- and then some. Stopped by Co Dough today and finally tried their famous sourdough cinnamon buns... and wow. They absolutely live up to the buzz. The bun was perfectly soft and pillowy inside with that subtle sourdough depth that keeps it from being overly sweet. The cinnamon filling was rich and balanced, and whatever magic they do before baking (you can literally watch it happen) makes the whole thing insanely tender and indulgent without feeling heavy. You can tell a lot of care goes into the process -- this isn't just a cinnamon bun, it's thoughtfully made. Even with how popular the place is, everything felt intentional and high quality. The service was friendly and efficient, even with how busy it was - everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there and proud of what they're serving. The space itself is not your typical bakery feel. It's set up in the middle of a market until they find a different spot to serve their customers. If you're in Newport and even thinking about stopping here, do it. I was scrolling through my explore page on Instagram when these soft and gooey cinnamon rolls captivated my attention. I immediately made plans to drive down. My friend and I got there around 11:30 after doing the Newport cliff walk. We found street parking, but were a bit confused on where it was. We walked up and down the block at least 3 times before seeing a small paper sign in the window of the market advertising co-dough. We went inside, and my heart sank when I saw the trays behind the counter were empty. The person behind the counter must've known what I was there for because she told us the next batch would be available at noon. We decided to walk around and at around 11:57 when we were circling back, we saw a line of people out the door. We sprinted to get a place in line. The entire time, I was anxious they'd run out right when we got to the front as I consider myself a very unlucky person. However, we secured two cinnamon buns at around 12:20. The line does curl around the inside, but it's entertaining to look at the snacks they sell and inhale the sweet cinnamon smell. When they're serving, they make sure to add some of the extra sauce that stays on the tray for added goodness. My friend and I ran to the car and we each took the biggest bite. It was very soft, sweet, and magical. In less than 5 minutes it was gone. A glass of milk would have made the experience even better. They might have had milk in the fridges in the back, but I think my advice would be to have them sell milk up front - it would be a HIT! It was worth the drive and wait. Each one is $8, but they're pretty big, filling, and delicious so it did not hurt my pockets. read more

I was a little hesitant because I kept seeing viral videos of this on TikTok and wasn't sure if it was going to be one of those things that doesn't live up to the hype. I was definitely wrong. The line wasn't too crazy. This was the second time I've tried to stop in the first time the line was outside and this time the line was much shorter. The cinnamon rolls are completely unreal and they were so soft and warm. Can't wait to try them again. I expect that their line will be even longer during the season and not how it was when I went in mid March. The line moved quickly! read more

Holy cow - this is the BEST cinnamon roll I have ever had! We search for these on vacation and this has beat all of our other spots (except for that Lewis, DE place I hope I reviewed). It's a good thing I don't live closer because these cinnamon rolls would get me into trouble with my doctor--a bad roll model, if you will. All jokes aside, these sourdough cinnamon rolls from Co-Dough are the truth. They're baked daily and served fresh. Buttery soft texture with a gooey cinnamon sugar filling. And can we talk about how they sell cups of icing on the side?! Yea, you read that right: Cups.Of.Icing.On.The.Side. I want my cinnamon rolls smothered in frosting. It's my biggest complaint about a lot of the other cinnamon rolls I've tried--there's just never enough frosting. But at Co-Dough, you can purchase as many cups of frosting as you like. It's the little things, I tell ya! The little things. Co-Dough has the best cinnamon rolls I've ever eaten and I'll definitely be back for more when we're in Newport again. read more

Best. Cinnamon. Rolls. Ever. Lines get long in the morning and I see exactly why, these cinnamon rolls are addictive (and huge!) You can also get extra icing on the side which is awesome. My gf friend also said the gluten free cinnamon roll was pretty good! Filled donuts were also great. read more
Worth the trip but call ahead to time your visit to when the cinnamon rolls are coming out of the oven because you can't call ahead. If you are looking for the sign, don't worry, you ARE in the right place if you see "Market on Broadway". There is no noticable sign for Co-Dough for whatever reason. No bathrooms either, so piddle before you arrive if you plan on staying to enjoy some coffee and yummies. read more
