We all wanted something from Sprinkles, and they were working hard, especially since they're short staffed. My order was Moose Tracks on a cone. Delicious and homemade, had it by a nearby bench while watching the sun set. There was a generous amount on my cone, and the taste was so good. I'll be back again to try other flavors on the menu. We had a big group that was by Bowen's Wharf for a wedding welcome party. As soon as it finished, we talked about how good ice cream sounded. To my delight, I did a quick Apple Maps search for ice cream and saw that Sprinkles was only 350ft away! Apple Maps showed they were open until 11pm but turns out they are only open until 10pm. We showed up right around 10pm and the still agreed to serve us, thank goodness! They have a large menu consisting of different ice cream flavors, types of cones, toppings, sundaes, froyo, and even some non-dairy options. Sprinkles on top of your ice cream are free, hence the name! I went with a small (single scoop) of the cookie monster, a specialty flavor that consists of blue ice cream, cookies n cream, and cookie dough pieces. It hit the spot and was exactly what I was looking for! My husband got two scoops: chocolate chip cookie dough and cookies n cream. All our friends enjoyed their ice cream! Prices were affordable. There's no seating here, you just order at the counter outside. However, you are downtown and there's plenty of places to go nearby to enjoy your dessert. Then sharing a name with the cupcake superpower confused me that they were independent. All my fears were cleared as we approached and we chatted up the girl working the counter. The samples she and her coworker were generous and their descriptions likely swayed us to buying two ice creams instead of sharing one which is always my preference. What was also refreshing was seeing some new flavors. I got the deer tracks which had chocolate covered espresso beans and fudge ribbons. Wife got a predictable cookies and cream which was also good.
