    Al pastor and carnitas taco
    Kelsy P.

Service was great, food came out fast, and atmosphere was fun! Super casual, à la carte tacos, burritos, quesadillas and of course chips and dips. The tacos were a little bland but the mango habanero salsa helped, and the chips were cold (gotta have warm tortilla chips). I feel like there are better casual taco spots in Boise, not my favorite from Coa.

12 bucks for chips and salsa is bananas! Al la carte option is nice but the starter prices are outrageous.

Good food and service. Like that it's down the street from my house, so will be fun in the summer!

If your coming here for the first time do not miss the schnitzel meals! It's a good hearty meal to fill a hungry belly! The pork is flattened thin, cooked perfectly and the breading flavorful and crispy. The fries thicker cut, skin on and nicely salted, yum! I had the Donor Kebab this time because I hadn't tried it yet and I have been missing out. It was really good! The mixed meat was on point and cooked just right. The veggie combinations were different then what I'm used to with kebabs but it worked really well. They had red cabbage, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, and pepperoncinis. The pita was wrapped in a thin, yet thick enough wrap to hold it all together and it was a perfect compliment to this Kebab! You can also never go wrong with any sausages, bratwurst or bologna. I like that they don't have a huge menu because everything you get is quality ingredients made with care. Did I mention beer? They have a multitude of glasses and form factors to pour into. The owners and employees have been consistently very kind and helpful with any questions I have about the market or restaurant since the beginning. Speaking of the market, they have always had great and fair prices with their imported items and its one of the only places in town that has quality European dark chocolates. Definitely do not miss this stop if you like good beer and excellent food!

I checked reviews and the menu on here and was torn between a Reuben and a schnitzel sandwich. I went with the schnitzel and it is a five star sandwich for sure. Pounded incredibly thin with a crispy seasoned breading and on a fresh crusty bun. Honestly I miss that sandwich. Next time, we will see how the Reuben compares! I'm never coming to Boise again without hitting das Alpenhaus.

Yet I wanted to experience their take on Detroit pizza one last time before they lock the doors for good. Yesterday, I called to order a Detroiter pizza, my go-to pie since they opened, for takeout. The woman who answered the phone asked to put me on hold for a "short wait." Ten minutes later I was still on hold and hung up. Today, I decided to try again. I called at around the same time, 4:30 p.m., which normally has not been a busy time there before the dinner rush starts. This time, I was told to call back. What? So I went online and ordered there for pickup. I got an email back immediately, saying my order had been submitted but that it wasn't confirmed until I got a second email with my pickup time. More than an hour later, I'm still waiting for that second email. What a horrible operation they've become. Their pizza was excellent in the beginning and I didn't mind driving across town to a convenient location near the airport to pick up one of their pizzas. But as their quality slipped, I found myself going there less and less. Today's failure will be the last time I try before they close forever. All I have is the memories from better days.

We ordered the large Sausage Roasted Garlic pizza. What a great pie, from the crust to the toppings. I can't think of a place I have been to for quite some time that was better. One small item, the plate were cold, so we just used them for crumb catching. Hot pizza on cold plates isn't ideal. We'll be back for sure.

Outstanding Food, Clean Vibe, and Incredible Drinks!…read more I have been a regular customer at Prost! for the past three years, and they never cease to amaze me. Located right in the heart of downtown Boise, it provides a warm, authentic pub environment with top-tier service. Let's talk about the food, because it is exceptional. The smoked bratwurst sandwich topped with crunchy, savory sauerkraut is a culinary home run. I always couple it with their traditional German potato salad, which is a must-try. Another highlight is their soup no matter the day, their soup is consistently flavorful, fresh, and delicious. For drinks, their Hefeweizen is standard-setting for beer lovers and my fiancé's go to. I personally go for the reasoning every time I visit sometimes it's one glass sometimes it's a bottle lol if relaxing a while with a book in the afternoon for us to split. The staff here is consistently friendly and attentive, the venue is always kept completely spotless, and the rates remain highly reasonable for the quality you receive. I highly recommend visiting in the afternoon for a peaceful, unhurried, and thoroughly pleasant experience!
