Inside out: parking can be a bit of a pain, trying to come with my grandma who wanted to try the death by chocolate was a struggle. No handicap or accessible parking nearby do it was unloading a 90+ year old woman on a street and trying to time picking her up in traffic. Not their fault- just something to keep in mind. Traveled through Boise on tour a few days ago and popped into Sid's by chance. We came in about 20 minutes before close and were expecting attitude and eye rolls, but all the staff was super kind and the guys in the kitchen ended up absolutely crushing it. I got the PB&J burger and the loco fries. Some of the best food I've ever had. Absolutely delicious, cooked and seasoned wonderfully. The service was incredible as well. My band mates got wings and the trailer trash burger and they were both really stoked on their food. Our server was super prompt, had great energy, and just genuinely seemed to enjoy her job. I visited Boise and decided to go to Sid' Garage for my first meal there and everything about the place was amazing. The servers were great and we shared a laugh on how I was from California but they were so cool. The food was amazing. I had the Mimosa Flight and it was super. I am not a mimosa drinker but that was amazing. I also had the Classy Redneck Boozy Shake and it was perfect. Finally, the Boss Hogg Burger was super cool and with a side of tater tots (That were seasoned perfectly). I loved the vibe of the place. A little bit of the underground, punk rock feel. Very disappointed. They once had the best burger I have ever had. They removed it from the menu. They removed both the candied pork belly burger and the full throttle fries. Our Exchange student from Germany was visiting for Christmas and asked to eat there again. There were 5 of us and it ran $125ish dollars for mediocre burgers at best. I didn't even finish 1/2 of mine. We shared 1 basket of plain fries and had 2 drinks and 3 waters. Our exchange student finished his burger but said, "It wasn't as good good as the other burger." He was being kind. Honestly, 5 guys or Smash burgers its all the same as Sid's and at least you get fries and a drink with your meal at the other two, and know ALWAYS know what's on the menu. The music (classic rock) was okay but I was disappointed to the point I ate less than half of a burger, and I left the rest on the plate. You had something great, I recommended you guys to everyone looking for a great burger. Now I don't know how you manage to keep the doors open. I had to get on Facebook an offer my friends an apology for wasting their money. Worse part is, several friends replied they went and tried your food and wondered what I was talking about when I recommended you guys! The server was okay he could tell I wasn't happy. He did get our order wrong, and was very apologetic, but it was par for course of the experience. He brought us 5 pieces of bacon hanging from stupid wire thing, instead of the full throttle fries. He explained he was confused because they no longer serve the fries. Such a fun idea! Great burgers and appetizers, AMAZING milkshakes. We went to the Village Meridian location and had an absolute blast. Service was quick, our waitress gave amazing recommendations (el jefe burger and the truffle fries). Ambiance is very fun, very casual. Loud music and chatter but not too loud that you can't have a conversation. Pricing is pretty reasonable! I believe we spent around $50 for everything. The death by chocolate milk is literally to die for, I highly recommend ending your meal with this. read more

In town for the holidays and heard this place was good. Damn, it did not disappoint. I got the 208 burger. The brie, fig jam, and Granny Smith apple on a thick patty was killer! Music was a nice mix. I had the "hangover" burger, which had a fried egg, cheese and bacon. It looked great, but was honestly lacking in flavor. Perhaps more salt needed? Pretzel bun was good. Tater tots were good and came with a dipping sauce that was good too. Hot chicken was quite hot indeed. Waffle with the hot chicken was a bit overdone. I used to love Sids. Terrible service and policy make it so I'll never go back. The food isn't worth it and the competition in Downtown Boise is way better anyway. My party of 4 were seated immediately. It's never busy like it once was cause the gimmick has worn off and competition is growing fast. We were sat at a table comfortable for two at best. When we asked for a bigger table we were DECLINED because those tables were reserved for parties of 6... that didn't show up for over any hour. We watched. When it was slammed this policy would make sense. It was SLOW AT 530 on a Friday. They did find us a bigger table around the corner and away from everyone which I actually liked better anyway. So all was well. Still, as people our age do, we were discussing the policy and how annoying the staff was and how the owner should empower their people to make more logical choices in the moment. Apparently the bus boy was having a bad day. What happened next blows my mind still, now the next day. No reason for him to even enter the conversation, but he hollered across the small space for all to hear... "Listen if you are so mad, you're welcome to leave!" We're adults. We know that. We have a choice. Thank you. Well, I immediately took him up on the "offer" and you know what? As we were leaving this punk kid keeps RUNNING HIS MOUTH!! Like, why? We weren't talking to him to begin with. We were going to drop a stupid amount of money for apps, burgers and beer at our now just-fine size table. But because we commented on the policy being outdated and silly you want us to leave AND you want to throw shade when we immediately leave!? What was going to come of this in his mind I wonder? That he would have caused a customer to cower and shamefully sit and wait? Then eat, then pay the overpriced bill? It's just WEIRD. It gets weirder. Chest to chest this kid gets up in my face after I pointed out his misstep from a few feet away. He starts blurting how they have many other customers that will take our place (just not till long after we were gone? It wasn't busy still at 830) and their great reviews will swallow my poor opinion up whole, and they don't need us... amongst a room of 30 or so patrons - what a ridiculous scene he caused! What the hell man? Where did this come from? Why would that be necessary? No surprise he wouldn't share his name and the waitress response said it all in the end as she apologized for his behavior and that she didn't mean to cause such a problem... "but the policy..." smfh leaving. The location isn't great like the Village. It's a revolving door of similar restaurants and Sid's will be the next. Unfortunately due to terrible staffing decisions and policies like this. Look me up. I don't give bad reviews hardly ever. A bad day, or a bad plate doesn't warrant it in my opinion. Fun place to go downtown for burgers. We stopped in on a Sunday night in October for a casual birthday dinner. Parking was so easy right on the street in front at that time. Parking at this location usually would be a deal breaker for me on a weekday. Too much of a headache. This is a great place if you have parking figured out and are not driving there hungry as you might have to stroll a few blocks from a parking spot. The menu is basically not so basic burgers and shakes. Sides are separate. Fries do not come with your burger but an order is big enough to share. We tried two shakes with the cake toppers to share amongst 4 of us and couldn't finish them. For the cost, shakes are a one time novelty. The burgers were tasty and interesting.
