Decided I wanted to try Coaches Box tonight and was on the fence about writing this review. I understand its a small business and I support small businesses but sometimes its not always great. Off the bat walking through the door we were told to get a mask because thats what they require. We did as they said and went to the car for the mask but I waited inside and the counter girl immediately became frustrated with me for less than a minute of me sitting beyond 6 ft away from her. She ran back to her boss ( ironically he was not wearing a mask) which I assume was the owner to complain and he just gave me a dirty look. I should've took this as a sign to leave because they were already upset with me but I really wanted to try it so I looked past that and began to order. We started to order but a couple items we tried to order she just said "WE'RE OUT" so we made exceptions. Fine that's okay we made it work. Now I ordered a three cheese burger but I guess she heard chili cheese burger because of the mask so I got a chili cheeseburger but I didn't feel like complaining because at this point it was ridiculous. The food was okay but extremely salty kind of like the young ladies attitude at the beginning but it is what it is. Will I be back? Probably not because the food quality does not meet the price. I paid $70 for salt imo I wish it was good so I could give you a good spot to go to and I will end this by saying the trip wasn't a complete wash because the young lady did come out and bring 2 pieces of German chocolate cake and said merry Christmas which was very nice of her. I just wish she had that same attitude the entire time we were there but she tried and for that I applaud her but it was not good service the entire time. Before I forget the German chocolate cake was actually the best part of the entire evening here so if you decide to go make sure you have a mask because they will not hesitate to turn you away... read more

Honestly I really wanted to like this place more but the whole experience was lackluster as hell. Idk what I missed or if we came on a bad day. But visiting from out of state and wanting to try some Texas BBQ, it was not what I expected. The cashier seemed to want to get our order in a rush, and I felt like I needed to order right away but I was still going over the menu. She was friendly at the end when she was explaining this app that their restaurant was on but I guess for business purposes. We ordered take out and the other woman seemed bothered that we decided to wait for our order inside. Let me just say, if you're a business and your patrons are going to have to wait 40+ min for their food, you might want to inform them. We easily could've left and came back to pick it up if I would've have known the wait was going to be that long. Just a tip to the business. We ordered to go, which included a full rack of ribs, brisket plate, and added on some sides of baked beans and potatoes salad. Also all the plates don't come with a choice of a side, they come with fries and for an ADDITIONAL charge you can pick?? Why not just have people be able to choose their sides? So let's just get to it, the ribs were okay, meat was tender but fatty. The brisket was tough and just masked in sauce to make up for it being rough to the teeth. The sides were just meh and baked beans had too much sugar, really thick. And the extra sides we ordered, there was no difference of size like if I have to pay $3 might as well make it more than the side you'll put on a regular plate. Lackluster expierence. Traveled from San Diego, California. Found this spot through Yelp and added it to our must try list. We came at around 3pm on a Wednesday and waited about 10-15 mins for our food. A young woman rang us up and she was so helpful and kind. We ordered bacon cheese potato skins, fried lemon pepper wings, and a bacon cheeseburger. The potato skins were perfectly crisp, the bacon cheeseburger was so simple yet so so so good, the wings were perfectly lemony and crispy. The food was a 10/10 and I'm jealous we don't have a spot like this back in California. The coach came out and asked how everything was and we got to have a chat with this man. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and why he does it. It made our experience 10X better after talking to him. There's something different and special about a place with someone who loves to serve his community and feed them good amazing food. We'll be back! read more

Ok so look, not much of a review writer, but my spirit was moved to leave this review lol My niece and I stopped by, she ordered the fried chicken sandwich and I got a double meat, double cheese burger, both seasoned perfectly by the ancestors. My apologies for lack of photos, but this thing was HUGE! If you're looking for a burger that you have to wrap in something to keep the juices from running into your lap this is the one! We were looking for a burger spot and found this gem! I ordered the spicy chkn sandwich , it was delicious and the perfect spice. We also ordered a dbl cheeseburger and wings! Everything came with fries that were perfectly seasoned and crispy. You can tell everything is made to order and the service was very friendly! She came to check on us throughout our meal. My family (of 4) called and ordered to-go. The person answering the phone was pleasant enough and it was easy to order. While I was there I added a couple more things to our order (based on reviews from yelp). I got the fired chicken salad - this was probably a "2.5-3". The chicken was really good, but the salad itself was just some iceberg lettuce and a bit bland. Husband got the rib sandwich with fries- he said this was a "4", so that's good for him :) I tasted the fries and they were really good, seasoned well. Daughter got the fried chicken sandwich- she said this was a "2". It was too chewy. Other daughter got a hot link sandwich- she said it was a "3". She would have preferred spicier links. She liked the fries too. Potato salad was kinda sweet, too mustardy. Greens beans were good. Husband said they reminded him of his mom's. We also got a small chess pie, but haven't tried that yet. Although we waited a long time for our food, the wait was enjoyable. Warm, friendly workers made us feel like family. Gave us a complimentary margarita which eased the pain of the wait.
