Who needs to go anywhere else for cherry blossom?

Pleasant experience from booking to checkout. After deciding on a hotel on my favorite travel search engine, I decided to call the hotel to see if they would offer similar rates. Expedia gets plenty of my business but I also understand that their cuts into small business can be deep. The hotel picked up the phone right away and suggested that I booked on their website then call back to request 10% off with my AAA discount. It wasn't a function available on their website and I'd need to call them before the charge of the first night. It all worked out great and I actually paid less this way! Check-in was smooth. There were no lines and they patiently explained breakfast and the situation with the hot tub. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Shower had good pressure but the temp fluctuated some during morning showers. Again, the bathroom tiles had amazingly clean grouts for this older motel. We had a pleasant stay. There were plenty of parking. And check-out was a simple drop-off of keys.

Carpet stains in our hotel room!

Easy check in and parking. The room was very small and there were several stains on the carpet. The bathroom was clean and the breakfast was delicious! My kids loved their stay here! Pool and spa looked inviting.

Two queen beds, each bed has 3 pillows...weird.

My family and I stayed here for one night at the end of July. We requested a top floor suite, we got a suite on the bottom....not a huge deal, but I have a feeling they did not read the request. The motel has a great layout, little playground at one end and an outdoor pool at the other end. The rooms, ugh. They are so old, that although it may have been cleaned, it felt dirty. The issues I had with my room was that the bathroom door didn't close, the shower head was weak and most annoying of all, the air conditioning was broken. We were offered a new room (on the top floor), but we were so tired we just asked for a fan. Unfortunately, it took until 10pm to receive the fan. Another thing about this hotel, so each bed is made for 2 people to sleep on, but for some reason each bed only has 3 pillows on it. The motel itself is fine, it's quiet at night, serves it's purpose and...well that's it. Its not worth the price.

Dining area for hot breakfast which included sausage, eggs biscuits waffles etc.

I just spent two nights at the delightful Coachmen's Inn, Oak Harbor, Washington. Unpretentious, but surprisingly pretty hotel in an excellent location. My room was really spacious with two queen beds, large sofa ,dining table and kitchenette. It even had a private ground floor patio. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the complementary hot breakfast was better than you usually get in this price range of hotels. Altogether a really nice place to stay and a good value. I highly recommend it!

This inn is just okay and I probably would give it a 2.5 if that were possible. My family and I stay here every year when we travel to Whidbey Island to go to the Coupeville Arts & Crafts Festival. We've stayed here every year since I was little. It's certainly not a fantastic hotel by any means, but it does the job. The beds aren't particularly comfortable and the interiors leave something to be desired, but the place is always very clean. I will say that the housekeepers always tend to short-sheet the bedding though... A bonus is the free continental breakfast over the weekend, which consists of all sorts of foods. A sampling from this past weekend: cereal, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, hard-boiled eggs, blueberry muffins, english muffins, toast, and various pastries.

The motel had the same amenities as a hotel. It is fairly cheap for the quality of the room! I definitely recommend this place for anyone!

All that to say, we were forced to find another hotel in another city far away. No help from IHG like finding us alternative lodging or compensation for their mess up. I presume that much deodorizing spray is used because it is a dog-friendly hotel & hotel staff assumes more is better. Stay away if you have asthma, allergies, or if you don't like to breathe chemicals for hours on end. All appliances are new and seem to be in fully working condition. My concern comes from the moldy smell coming from the dishwasher - the picture I include herein shows the mold and who knows what that was growing for a very long time in the filter. That means the dishes washed would have the same residue/mold. All staff were extremely friendly. Note they only accept dogs - no cats. Chinese restaurant next door is absolutely delicious. Chris' bakery a mile down the road makes great donuts, muffins, cookies, & bread.

The Bad: On the first night of your 3-night stay, we reported that the bathroom floor was sticky and requested that it be mopped. We were told that it would be done the next day since housekeeping had gone for the day. The next day when we returned to the hotel, the floor was still sticky. We reported it again and were told that it would be reported to the manager and they would get back to us. The Ugly: We never heard back from management. We put our service request tag out and not only did the bathroom not get mopped again, but we also did not receive any clean towels or other cleanup. So, we arrived to a sticky bathroom floor and left with the same sticky bathroom floor. We will not be staying at Auld Holland on our next trip to Whidbey Island and we will not be recommending it to others.

‼‼LOOK AT THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BOOK‼‼…read more I'm rating this a 2 star because I liked the service at the front office...aside from that definitely a 1 star For starters my bf went to used the restroom and the first thing we noticed was that the bathroom had pieces of toilet paper on the floor and dirt. We didn't think too much into it but still thought it was a red flag because the front office told us our room and ready which you'd assume means clean. we then noticed that you HAVE to have the heater on in the cabin or you'll freeze. We closed the bathroom door for obvious reasons and the bathroom is always freezing because the heat won't reach the bathroom. We left to hang out with friends and I wanted to hop in the shower so I turned on the shower while I got my clothes ready once I was done doing that I opened the shower door to notice that the drain wasn't draining the water I hopped in anyways because I needed to shower. Mid way to the shower the water drains completely good for us but then I notice there is soap residue on the shower wall and completely grossed me out so I tried to hurry up only to realize that the water was getting cold didn't even get to condition my hair unfortunately. Fast forward to the present we wake up wanting coffee so I go and look in the basket only to find a blonde hair in the basket next to the loose straws...I move the hair and everything is chillen until I go to put water in the kureeg...there's a hair in the kureeg where the water goes..I took that hair out I was honestly fed up and forgot to take a picture. I let just water heat up within the kureeg to take out any dirt. I went online to see yelp reviews on this place and one of the reviews I saw said to look under the bed because they don't vacuum so I did and surprise surprise there's dirt, a metal wire, and some pink thing...yay...
