Gloria had a mushroom & cheese with a blueberry muffin. I had a veggie omelet with a toasted bran muffin which was toasted to perfection on the grill. Everything was tasty, hot and accurate. My little ones Mac and cheese was baked and was creamy and the perfect blend of cheeses with a nice crust on top! My burger was out of control. We were the first customer she had that day, but, another couple came in with the same skepticism as I did, and she was genuinely impressed when they saw our food come out, and they stayed. I couldn't recommend this restaurant anymore than I am. This chef, shouldn't be in a town of 50, but in an Uber trendy downtown gastro pub! Hats off to the mom of two great kids (doing their thing in the back of the restaurant and not at all annoying, perfectly fine by these parents that get to see their mom working hard and chasing her dream!). In addition to renting kayaks (they have two single kayaks available), they rent pontoons (125/hr, 275 for 4 hours and 4-something for 6 hours). We paid a total of thirty dollars (fifteen each per hour) for two kayaks for an hour and fifteen minutes (the guy threw in the extra fifteen minutes, free). This is cheap. Other places charge twenty-five for a single kayak and thirty-five for a double. We paid cash (no credit cards accepted here), signed a form, and gave the man my license. Now where do I put my wallet, keys, and phone? Okay, phone and wallet hidden in car. But what about my keys? I decided to ask a guy who looked like he worked there. He said he'll hold on to them, but asked if I have a nice car ;). Ha-ha. The kayaking itself was great, but we had to watch out for bigger boats because their waves can flip us.
