    Me enjoying my Rita
    Danyel M.

Stopped by without a rez and they sat us right away. The greeter was very friendly and personable. We asked to be sat outside and ended up having the entire patio to ourselves. It's even heated - we did ask for them to turn a bit lower and that was no problem for them to do. The patio is right next door to a kid area so you'll prob hear some kids enjoying themselves too. Water was served very fast and shortly after, our server took our drink order. Our server was friendly and personable too! They brought us fresh bread and honey butter to start. We ordered the blackened red fish dinner and the veggie farro risotto with grilled salmon. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly! The cheesy grits on my hubby's plate were AMAZING! Our margaritas were pretty tasty - mine was a bit on the sweeter side but I loved the Tajín rim. They even have several yummy desserts, but we were too full. Next time I might try to save room for the key lime pie! Come check it out for yourself!

Sitting outside is beautiful with the ocean right there! Definitely recommend asking for the little fan that keeps the flies away, it worked perfectly. We came here for breakfast. The menu is much better food than the buffet. The scrambled eggs from the buffet cannot even compare to the menu. Everything was a large portion. Service was great, everyone is really friendly and the food was quick.

Coast gets five stars for service, but I felt like the selection, especially being on the coast, lacks variety, especially seafood, which is what we were going for. Other than the appetizers, you can either add seafood to a salad or choose from two seafood sandwiches. I did enjoy the calamari the most. My vegetable risotto was pretty good. They have limited seating outdoors, so make reservations or go early if you're going for the view. But they have adequate space indoors as well! It's very pretty, service is very fast and waitresses and hosts are very professional and personable!

I love any place that serves English breakfast tea in a pot. Sitting outside on the patio, relaxing, taking in the breeze of the ocean is why I continue to come back. I wish they would bring back their afternoon tea; I believe it is a missed opportunity for locals and guests.

Had our last dinner here before traveling back to NJ after spending the week in Amelia Island. The food here was extraordinary. The seafood tower was very flavorful along with the redfish main course was superb. It was such a special time here with my sister, my wife and two kids. The wait staff here was very friendly as well.

    Dinner for restaurants week!

Wow, loved our dinner here! I have always wanted to come check out the Ritz and this was the perfect excuse to! Pulling up is so pretty, you valet your car then head inside, right now they are under renovations, so we kinda walked around the long way to get in which was fine cause we got to see more of the property which was Huge! They have maybe 4/5 restaurants inside, including Salt (which I wanna try!) Walking into Coast, it's so pretty, they have a beautiful heated patio and great space inside. Let me tell you everything was great, excellent service, food was so good!! We liked everything we got, no complaints at all! Also side note the kids petit filet was such a nice kids meal, big upgrade from standard kids meals! :) Would love to return!

Beautiful setting for the end of restaurant week.

The end of restaurant week was a sold-out show at Coast! Beginning with an amazing cocktail hour on the veranda followed by a 5 course 5-star dinner to wow the end of the restaurant week's crowd. The screened half-moon veranda featured tasty bites of scallops, filet mignon with blue cheese, watermelon with feta skewers, and a smoked fish on toasted crackers. Delightful cocktails included an amazing Key Lime Pie Martini, a Peach and Bourbon on the rocks, and a special locally made Mocama brewed light ale. Once seated inside, the music of a lone acoustic guitarist filled the air and the notoriously well trained Ritz staff began to serve additional libations. The tables were beautifully appointed with plenty of space to get comfortable and spread out for our party of four. Name cards, and a menu preview greeted each diner. This was my first closing restaurant week here in Fern Beach and it was so much fun! From Mayport Shrimp, to a nod to Cajun tomato rice risotto with andouille sausage, followed by a crispy chicken and cornbread crumble over spicy Kimchi - the flavors were very bold. The entree course was a pan seared snapper over red pea puree with okra and succotash (never can figure out why chefs like succotash so much). I rarely indulge in dessert but when I do I want it to really wow me! This one didn't quite wow me but made me, once again, stretch my adventure in trying something new. The apricot citrus delight was a kind of mousse with an apricot cremieux inside on top of a chocolate torte (cookie) and a crispy pretty tuile garnish on top. It was surprisingly delicious despite being something I'd never otherwise think to order. All in all it was fantastic fun with friends, a celebration of creative dishes, flavors, spices, and adventure for the palate.

We went there for their open buffet brunch and it was very good. I think for the selection of options that are available plus chef cooking your omelette to your order, $35/person is quite reasonable. Service was impeccable and the seating area is clean and spacious. If we go back to the hotel, we'd be back to the restaurant as well.

I was at the Ritz for a conference and stayed for an extra day of sun. I decided to stay on the property and had dinner at the bar at Coast. Rachel and Mike started me off with a tasty cocktail -- the blackberry mojito. The chalkboard behind the bar displays the featured craft cocktails. I ordered the calamari appetizer which was huge. Definitely enough for two people. For my main course, I had had the filet which was cooked perfectly to rare. For dessert I had the rhubarb cheesecake. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but it was delicious. Rachel added some extra truffles for maximum sweet tooth satisfaction! I definitely recommend Coast for dinner and they also serve brunch but I didn't get a chance to try it. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.

My favorite meal is the Coast Salad with salmon. Excellent service which is to be expected at the Ritz. Oysters plus Pinot Grigio is also delightful.

Excellent restaurant located at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. Came here for lunch with a friend and we re both quite pleased with our food, the service and the ambiance of this place. The portions are good for the price. The restaurant is nicely decorated and they also have plenty of outdoor tables. Valet parking at the hotel.

1/27/24. Here for dinner with hubby, daughter and granddaughter on Restaurant Week. It is always a pleasure and treat to come here. The food was delicious, nice size portions with attentive service! Our butternut squash was one of the best I've ever had, the sheepshead fish was delicious and the pumpkin dessert complete with edible flowers...perfect! We then walked down to Salt Restaurant and now you've gone to another level of gourmet eating!

11 layer chocolate espresso cake. Amazing

Great meal! We got the grilled mahi sandwich with side green salad and burger with fries. Topped it off with the 11 Layer chocolate espresso cake. O. M. G. All fabulous. Service was perfect. Toni greeted us beautifully, anticipated our needs and made the experience delightful. And the VIEW. WOWO. From the ocean to the tropical pool view it is stunning. A live guitar player completed the ambiance. Love this resort. !!

I realize restaurants are on a schedule and expect my food to be at a different level. This was not the case here. It was perfect. It is important to note that we came in at 2:30 in the afternoon and were the only customers in the place. Sometimes this means the food would be leftovers from lunch but everything we ate was very fresh. I had the sliced pork. The slices were a quarter inch thick and to big to eat in 1 bite. The pork was fork tender even at that thickness so I did not need a knife. I would say it was THE BEST restaurant sliced pork I have ever had. I asked about a spicy sauce and was told they have something called Big Poppas that stays in the back and she brought me some. It was a really good spicy sauce but not so overwhelming that you couldn't taste the meat. The fries were just fries but they were hit and crispy. I had baked beans. They had really good flavor and chunks of pork mixed in for an added bonus. This was also fresh and hot. My wife had the brisket plate and said the same about her food. She took home more brisket than she ate. It was huge.

We arrived at the Ritz too late for dinner anywhere but the lobby bar. Enjoyed several sushi rolls with drinks, each one imaginative fresh and tasty. But some event had recently let out and the lobby bar got crowded and LOUD. I mean over 100db loud (measured). That's the equivalent of enjoying sushi while jackhammers are crushing concrete all around you. Whoa! Ocean front one bedroom suite - Plush, large, comfortable. Curtains blocked most light, but the bright morning sun still peeked in around the edges. Comfortable bed and plenty cold for good sleeping. Two huge TVs. While the only premium feed provided is Netflix, the cable box had been lowered behind the TV in the living room such that it was simple to plug in your own device. If this is by design, kudos to the Ritz. If this was accidental, we feel very fortunate. Awesome to have a second half bath, wish that was an option at more hotels. The main bath, very roomy, with a huge dressing area, was a little odd in that, while there was a door to the toilet, there was no door to the tub/shower. Not a big deal, as it was around a corner providing a little privacy, it's still a weak design decision. Huge balcony with ocean front views that go on forever. A few chairs and a table, but a bit under furnished. Still quite a treat for the view, breeze and privacy. Never even slightly tempted to leave the property during our stay. Over a 4 night stay, we visited nearly every bar and restaurant option, and never felt like we were having to "make do". Pool - the kiddie pool was closed for renovations, so children took over the main pool all day. If you're not a tolerant direct parent, you're not gonna get in that water, if you know what I mean. Overall the pool and chairs were pretty crowded, so almost worth the premium to have rented a cabana for 8-2 one day. Lots more room and comfort, both lounge chairs and couch seating, TV, snacks and drinks.
