Was trying to support local and not online. Both the website and a person i called said it would take 3-4 weeks to get my fridge shelf and that I'd get an email when it was ready. I called 5 weeks later to be safe since I ordered over the holidays, and it turns out it was ready less than a week later ‍ all the staff I dealt with were friendly but no one had any idea what happened to my missing email. From the moment Daisy picked up the phone, she was kind, professional, and extremely informative--something that's unfortunately rare these days. Her assistance was greatly appreciated, and I had to ask for her name so I could make sure she received recognition. We have been utilizing this particular Coast Appliance parts for over 18 years since I came over to start helping my husband with the shop that he's had for the last 39 years. I've never had an issue with the Gardena office, the manager Aisha is quite professional and very helpful. Ironically enough I've had problems with their corporate office and their incompetent staff. With the current state of useless appliances being made by manufacturers we need a reputable place to go and pick up parts and this office is just that. I am impressed with their customer service. We're talking about the Gardena office. I am very impressed with their willingness to help. We at our shop do not sell parts so whenever I get a call I am more than happy to refer my customers to their office. I just found a part that literally saved me over a $1,000 if I were to replace the appliance with a new on vs repair it! The repair guy said the part wasn't available. GE said the part wasn't available. Amazon had 3rd party parts that had some sketchy reviews and would take a few days to arrive. I used these guys 10 years ago for a dryer pulley and gave em a shot in this and they had an OEM part for immediate pickup and only $50 more than Amazon's 3rd party part. They are not the cheapest but they can help you get a cost-effective way to keep a pricey appliance going especially if to put in some elbow grease which in this case was only 15 minutes once I got the part. read more

Called for a control board for my Samsung washer as a repair man told me his supplier was back ordered. When I called, I was told the part was $129 special order, taking three weeks to receive but had to come in and pay for the part upfront. No problem. When in to order the part, (the gentleman talking our order was excellent!) told a price of $129, gentleman called the warehouse making sure the part was available and was told the part is available but they needed to update the price in the system. The "updated" price is $196! The gentleman asked the female working the counter and her attitude and response was one of the worst I've ever experienced! " the price is the price, Samsung changed the price, not us" - all with attitude and a smug, arrogant, nonchalant tone. We expected more of an empathetic response, "we apologize for this discrepancy, but nothing we can do" would have sit better with me as a customer. Of course I want to pay the price I was quoted twice but understand how things can change. Coast, please train your employees better. I walked out willing to order the part online, and pay more but my husband felt differently and went inside and ordered the part without me! We must treat customers better, we have options- with the internet, these type of establishments can become a part of history. read more

My parent's dryer took a dump, it was heating but wasn't spinning. My Dad was ready to kick it to the curb because it's an older dryer. He even asked my Mom and I to go shop for one. I would not buy any of their over priced no good light bulbs. I purchased a 20.00 bulb for a oven 30.00 by the time I paid shipping. I looked the part up on their schematics, purchased it, put it in and it did not last one second. I notified them and they said too bad no returns. They are right, I will not be a returning customer. Looking in the websites and found out that the price for this model ranges from $25 to $35. I wanted to return this part, but the staff refused stating that this item has been used. I offered to bring the same part from the same distributor in which I bought it from other location for $50, but they refused to accept it stating that this part is not purchased from not their location. They were the only ones that had a great price. Other supply stores wanted to charge me way more for each filter. I would have payed about $100 more in another store. I needed a hose and belt for my Maytag washer so purchased them from Coast. The person at the counter found the parts quickly and charged me $20.00 for the hose and $20.00 for the belt plus tax. I thought these prices were high so I looked on EBay after I installed the parts and I could have purchased the exact same parts for $7.00 each. If you need the parts quickly, go to Coast. Stay way from Coast Appliance Parts. Horrible customer service. My hepler took and old top double burner to match it and purchase it for me without consulting me with the price. Anyhow, we installed the part to see if it will work knowing that I return any item as long as not electrical . Looking at the websites and found out that the price for this product (one bracket) ranges between $25-$35 and (2 brackets) for $50 where my purchased for one bracket was $82. When I contacted staff at Gardena location asking why the price is so high, they replied because the part comes with one year warranty item. I stated any item will come automatically with one year warranty, plus the warranty price should not be triple price of the product. I tried to return the part, but they refused to take it back stating that this item has been used. I offered to purchase the part at a fair price and keep it, but they reject my offer and stated that I should open my eyes before I make the purchase. I don't recommend this place at ALL and my advice to you just "Be careful". read more

Absurdley incompetent customer service. I called on a Monday to order a part. Gave the (rather difficult) woman on the phone the description. She came back with the wrong part number (I checked online while she was checking her records). I finally had to hang up and call the manufacturer to confirm, then call her back (at which point she conceded I was right). She said she'd order it for Tuesday (next day delivery) to their warehouse. She quoted me about $50 plus tax. I called Tuesday. She had forgotten to order. She said she would order then and give me a call Wed to conform the part had shown up. No Call Wednesday. I called Thursday. She didn't remember speaking to me, but was finally able to confirm the part was there. Price: $75 plus tax. I reminded her she had quoted me $50 plus tax (probably the price of the wrong part she tried to convince me was correct). She said she could go as low as about $68 plus tax, because that was the manufacturer's price to them. I found it on Amazon Prime with 2 day delivery for $63 all in. Well, we got some parts from this shop and we figured out that one of the items we got wasn't what we needed. So we returned it the same day. It was 4:56pm and they were about to close. I know the item we bought costs $30. But the lady working here gave us back $15 and no receipt. We found it out after we left the shop. And I called them at 5:01pm but they didn't get the phone call. If you're a do it yourselfer, this is the place to go for appliance parts. I had an intake valve take a dump on my dishwasher. I found the parts number and hopped online to find parts suppliers. The manufacturer, Sears wanted 65 bucks and was backordered with at least a wait of three weeks. Several other "parts" companies in the area had a wait of few days and did the hard court press to send their people out to do the repair for a substantially higher price. I passed. I came across Coast Appliance and called. The person taking the call, looked up the part and told me he'd have the part in 1 day. He wasn't lying. I got a call by noon the next day that it was in. It was also 20 bucks less than the sears quoted price and a direct factory replacement. Judging by the location, they're strictly a parts distributor. They do not have a show room for appliances.
