Great market. So excited for my matcha!

Great coffee...fast service. A good walk for those nearby. I'll have to come back and explore the market area a little more.

Coast Roast Coffee is situated within the St. Roch Market and hot-damn their coffee is delicious. For those of us who work out of coffee shops or do meetings frequently in coffee shops, this needs to be on your rotation. I've always had a friendly encounter when I've grabbed a cup of coffee. Their iced lattes are some of the best that I've had. (They also make a great boomerang for you fellow social media junkies) If I lived closer to here I'd grab coffee from here way more often! The wifi for the market is also really strong.

This location is inside St Roch Market food hall. The coffee is really good... it's not my favorite in the city. The service was efficient and the prices are typical. It's a great spot for coffee because there's so much indoor and outdoor seating available.

It's a cute little coffee shop set up inside St. Roch Market. I like that they offer different options other than just regular milk - you could get almond, soy or oat milk. I got a large iced ginger latte. The ginger flavor wasn't overpowering but you definitely got a taste of it in each sip. Will definitely try them the next time I'm there.

I had eaten at another restaurant in the St Roch Market and stopped here to get a coffee and a sweet treat to go. I got the vanilla cream cold brew, a chocolate chip cookie, and a chocolate chocolate chip muffin. All was good. Service was quick. The gal working was wearing a Charlie Swan t-shirt and I just loved that. Coffee and the treats were all good.

Iced. Coffee. Obsession. Coast Roast at the St. Roch Market has the best iced coffee I have ever had and they have it available in a cup as big as my head, so basically I am set for the day with one of these babies. I don't know how much more you need to know than this. If you're a coffee fiend, you're already on your way... PS. They have almond milk

Vanilla cream cold brew is the most amazing coffee drink I've ever had

Holy sh!t snacks....the vanilla cream cold brew is the most delicious coffee drink I've ever had in my life. Get it!!! A little pricey ($5.15) but worth it. Think of starbucks sweet cream cold brew but a billion times better. I'm in love. Their menu is excellent, complete with the standard latte, cappuccino, pour over, as well as cafe au lait and specialty drinks.

This is one of the best coffee in NOLA. I've ordered vanilla soy latte and the taste was by far the best one. I recommend this cafe and I'll come back for sure.

Chai latte with soy milk on left, chai latte with local goat milk on right. Both large and in charge...
    Susie D.

I was debating 4 or 5 stars, but lemme tell you about the 5th. It's a unique chai that was blended from scratch when I ordered it, creating such a fresh, potent, flavorful cup of chai that wasn't uncomfortably tangy and never lost its flavor in the entire large cup. I splurged for the local goat milk, which made it slightly thicker and heavier, if you're in the mood for that. The lady behind the counter was very nice, the company sources its coffee one state away in Mississippi, and the stand is in this fantastic market in a non-touristy part of town. So that's the story of the 5th star.

Gorgeous nitro cold brew with almond milk from Coast Roast.

Longer: So I was a little hesitant to go to CDM, because it's such the tourist stop and the first joint anyone mentions when they say "beignet". But this was our first stop, morning of first day. The beignets are piled in sugar, they are warm, crunchy and crisp on the outside and soft, warm and delicate inside. I gotta tell you, the texture is just a little different than Cafe Beignet, the Four Seasons, and even the other CDM in the park we tried a few days later. To me, this is the best one. Now, as a coffee person, their black coffee is strong, rich, and a good compliment to the real show - the beignets. But I did not pick up on nearly as much chicory in their chicory coffee as, say, Cafe Beignet's version. Also, I have to let you know the other location in the big park serves a non-chicory version (in addition to NOLA chicory) that is head and shoulders the best coffee we had in New Orleans. But this is the joint. As a bonus, it's colorful, has consistently great street musicians, and has lots of walkable sites as you struggle to waddle around after too many beignets. Gotta go!

The cost is ridiculous for the gift shop when you can go to the grocery store 2 blocks away and get it half price. The atmosphere was loud, service slow, so many people and horrible turnovers. The best coffee I found was at Empanola. Do not waste your time or money.

The iced London Fog lattes I discovered are premade, which overall my wife thought was alright, but she liked that they had gluten free blueberry muffins. The chocolate croissant was solid. The service was prompt and friendly. And the decor had a rustic ambiance with the brick walls, dark book shelving and garden patio in the back. The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
