That's how I stumbled across this little strip with a gas station, Subway, hot chicken, a liquor store, and California Pizza. The purple and blue neon lights caught my eye, and that spinning pizza sign outside was basically saying, "Come on in." So I did. The guy behind the counter sounded like he flew in straight from Boston. Every other sentence had me wondering if I was ordering pizza or getting recruited to the Red Sox. He was cracking jokes the whole time, and it made the place feel fun instead of just another quick stop. I grabbed a slice, relaxed for a bit, and was back on the road without dealing with the usual Disneyland chaos. Sometimes you don't need a fancy sit-down meal you just need good pizza, easy parking, and someone behind the counter who's got a sense of humor. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a quick slice with zero hassle. It's a nice little escape before diving back into the Disneyland madness.

Even mobile ordering, they'll set an order number limit (when we went it was 2-3) so that people won't farm this item. Keep this in mind since for mobile ordering the wait can span 30 minutes + and some of the slots fill up quickly and of course with every mobile order spot, people line up when their order isn't even ready... Despite this, it's way better than braving the line to order at a cashier. That line has the potential of going through that super long zig zag queue and then going out of the covered waiting ordering area too. It can get upwards to around the time that it would take to wait to get on a ride, so keep this in mind and plan accordingly. With that out of the way, the must here again is their quesabirria tacos. Several people order this and it's, again, popular enough for a mobile order limit. You get 2 tacos per order and it comes with their delicious consomme. Super flavorful and they don't skimp out on it. Comes out toasty hot with melty cheese and super moist birria meat. Good stuff. I mean, sure you can get this outside the park, but if you're not sure what to eat and you can plan to order ahead and pick up, this is a solid choice for non seasonal foods. I've gotten their street corn which comes with a side of wheel chips. It's alright and does get messy, but the corn was mostly cob the 2 times that I've gotten it. Ambiance is super bustling and really busy, each time I've gone here or walked past, especially since the seating area is near so many other eateries and there's not that much seating in DCA in general. I'm not surprised that they only give you a half container's worth of consommé. I wish it was a bit spicier, but I get that they have to appeal to the broadest consumer base. It's fine to try once, but I don't think that I'd necessarily come back for it. Like everyone else has said, it helps immensely to order ahead on the app. But be careful, the place next to it on the right also has numbers above their location, so they'll redirect to Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill on their left. Since you're out in the open with tables - just be prepared to hear crying babies & toddler who scream for no apparent reason. But, when we were notified about having our reservation ready, a girl at the stand by the name of Jennifer/Jenifer said that we didn't have one for 2, but we had a confirmation message that we did. So, we asked when the wait time would be if we still wanted to eat there, & she just tossed out a 40-minute wait time for a table of 2. But, when these other people came up after us to ask, her tone switched to nice & respectful & not passive-aggressive like she did to us. I don't know if this was an act of racism (because we are Asian) or discrimination (because we are college students), but receiving this type of bad service was upsetting to say the very least. Then, we had a waiter who gave us our water but didn't offer us straws & immediately left, but I saw her giving other tables straws with no questions asked. So, I pretty much had lost my appetite to order more by this point. The only one working there that offered us good service was a guy named Kevin (who so happened to also be Asian), & a busser whose name I didn't catch. The ambience is moderate; it is an amusement park with big families after all. The Battered & Fried Monte Cristo Sandwich was pretty good, but for this place, I wouldn't expect to have good service. The shrimp with grits. Omg. Plumpy big shrimps, the vegetables.. what was that? Spinach? I mean it's so good. Taste and texture wise. The grits? Cheesy and creamy..So warmth and delicious. I can eat this everyday!. Plenty of seats and my new favorite!
