I was craving ice cream, so I waited in line for several minutes to place my order while other customers ahead of me placed theirs. The ice cream bar I ordered was $6.00, which is a bit pricey, but knowing that I was in downtown Disney, I knew anything I purchased would be on the higher end. You are able to see into the kitchen to see them prep your food. We got the carne asada breakfast burrito and the chilaquiles with fried egg and chicken (+$2). The carne asada burrito was a little salty and had very little egg, it was more of a regular carne asada burrito with bean, cheese and meat, still pretty solid though. The chicken wasn't dry and the chips had the right amount of crunch. I also had the Jamaica, which was good as well. You order from a touch screen, and on there they had listed the chef special drink. Unlike the other options on the menu, this one didn't have a description of what the drink was. I was interested in it but I didn't want to order it if I didn't know what it contained. It was only after we put our order in and went to the register that I saw the sign that described the drink, with honey and berries. I was a little disappointed because I would have picked that instead of the Jamaica. So I just wish the description would have been listed on the screen or that the sign were more visible. Since this is a quick service spot, the prices and offerings here are more conducive to a casual dining experience. Make no mistake, the menu items still sound/ look delicious, though. And in the case of the mushroom tinga taco, I can attest it was delicious. The menu has your pretty 'standard' items like tacos, burritos, bowls, quesadillas, etc. and some ceviches as well. I came here specifically for the mushroom tinga tacos because I saw it on an LA Times list. Definitely a great meatless option or just a tasty meal regardless. To order, there's a line that leads up to an ordering window and/or kiosk. You put in your order and when it's ready, there's a pick up area towards the right in a small enclave. There's no seating here (at least I think or I didn't notice any), so you take your food and dine at one of the nearby benches or planter boxes. Let me just say, it was a lot of food and they were REALLY good and I was not expecting that for Downtown Disney, touristy area. As someone who loves Disneyland and California Adventure but doesn't love the food offerings there, I am always on the lookout for good food spots nearby and was very impressed with Tiendita. I first tried their chicken quesadilla which was very tasty and more comparable to a cheesy chicken taco. The following day I was happily surprised to find out they are also open early for breakfast and I really enjoyed the Egg & Cheese breakfast burrito, which really hit the spot, and was among the best breakfast burritos I've had. I think restaurants in Downtown Disney are judged very harshly by Yelpers. However, I think Tiendita deserves more! The prices here are very fair for the area. Honestly Chipotle is not much cheaper depending on what you're getting. The quality of the food here was great. Everything was hot, cooked well, and fresh. Its setup is similar to a chipotle but you don't walk through a line to customize. Just order and pick up! Tons of great options that you wouldn't find at many place either. For a grab and go spot that competes with many other Hispanic food locations in the area, I think Tiendita is hitting all the marks. read more

I've been wanting to come to tiendita for a long time to try their chilaquiles, the place is just a small stand, you place your order on the screen which I don't mind. I ordered the chilaquiles, they come in red sauce, cotija cheese, sour cream and guacamole $11.00, I added 1 fried egg for a $1.00 more which is not a bad deal. I also ordered a coffee. The chilaquiles were tasty, they give you a good amount for the price. I would of given 5 stars but my coffee was very dark and very bitter, the creamer did not do much to make it taste better so I had to put tons of sugar and more water to make it taste better, coffee was $4.95. The breakfast burritos here are on point! We tried the carne asada burrito and the chorizo burrito. I would definitely rate carne asada burrito 5/5. The chorizo burrito is probably 3.5/5...still solid but likely wouldn't get again. The salsa that came with the burritos were also delicious! This is definitely a great breakfast spot; I personally prefer it to the various breakfast burrito options in the parks (which can be hit-or-miss) and definitely much better than the breakfast chimichanga (which I believe is highly overrated). So, I decided to give Tiendita another try. A few months ago, I had their tacos -- horrible. But I figured maybe it was just a bad night. Nope. Tried again tonight, and it is what it is. The steak was old, tough, and completely flavorless. Imagine chewing on hard meat with not an ounce of salt or seasoning -- just plain, dry steak. I know in the pictures some pieces look wet or juicy not the case everything was hard to chew and cold and hard. The tortillas were so tough they might as well have been made of leather. Ive had cold food but it doesn't bother me if there is flavor. Cold food can be not that bad if it's good but bad food is bad hot or cold. The Chef's Agua Fresca (Strawberry/Guava) was actually great -- sweet, refreshing, and the only redeeming part of the meal. As for service, I won't be too harsh since they were clearly understaffed and busy. The guy helping me was friendly and trying his best. That said, the food presentation was awful -- by the time I opened my box, everything was tossed around and cold I couldn't figure out what was was it was all mush so I had to try to do the best I could. The rice was mushy, bland, and tasted like plain tomato paste. For $30, I expected at least edible food -- and at the very least, double tortillas on the tacos. But no, just one flavorless, rubbery shell. Service: 6/10 (friendly but overwhelmed) Food: 0/10 -- Never again. (But I may come back for the aqua Fresca's those are delicious) read more

I work on the downtown disney area and decided to get food from tie fits at around 3:10PM today, I order the carne asada quesadilla and it was delicious. For my drink, I ordered an apple juice to get some sugar in my system, after taking an initial sip I noticed that the color was off from a typical apple juice color. I then look at the bottom of the bottle and see brown blobs and immediately stopped consuming the juice. The taste was fine and the expiration isn't until April 26, 2026. I would not recommend getting juice from here and would just stick to their food menu. read more

I got the Carne Asada Tacos! The tacos were very full which was nice but also made it kind of a mess when eating it. Aside from that, the tacos were delicious! Located in the central area of the shopping center, they are nestled off to the south side, behind the main restaurants and bowling alley. Ordering is done through a touch screen and they have a pretty basic menu: tacos, burritos, quesadillas, desserts, drinks. Pretty simple, but the options within those are vast. We opted for the carne asada burrito, quesadilla, chips and guacamole and they offer a Magic Key discount for Disney holders. For the price, it's a lot of food. It was 3 meals for us, and we still had more guacamole than I could finish. This is the most welcome addition to DTD and we can't wait to try the breakfast options! read more

The Carne Asada Tacos were street taco size; the asada was savory, but some pieces were overcooked or too chewy. They have spicy red salsa or chili verde to complement the tacos and quesadillas. The Street Corn is an enjoyable side that goes well with any entrées. To quench my thirst, I tried the Jamaica Agua Fresca; it was refreshing and not overly sweet. You can order through the self-serve kiosks or the cashier. If you have a Magic Key annual pass, you can apply your discounts through the staff. Prices reflect Disney property prices, but it's still a good option for craving Mexican-inspired food. Although this establishment does not have inside or patio seating, some tables and benches are available around Downtown Disney. It also offers outstanding customer service. With those prices I don't see why they can't make it authentic. I ordered a coffee, hot chocolate, and a buñuelo. The coffee and hot chocolate are one size only, something to keep in mind. Total came to around $20. The coffee was cold. The hot chocolate is good but it has a cinnamon flavor, tastes more like a champurrado. The buñuelo is pretty huge and alone is $10. Half of it is covered in dark chocolate with pieces of Oreo crumbs. Me personally I didn't like it. Their menu is great. I want to come back and try their food. The burritos are well worth the price. I ordered the cochinita pork pibil burrito which was more flavorful and tender than I expected. It comes with pickled onions inside which helped cut the fat. I asked for green salsa, as did everyone in my group, and they gave all of us a red one so that was the only unfortunate thing. I also ordered the bean and cheese burrito from the kid's menu for lunch the next day and really liked it. It comes with your choice of rice or beans and I'd recommend the Mexican rice since it's flavorful and a pretty decent portion. We waited a solid 15 minutes to get our order since there were a lot of people waiting and they seemed short-staffed.
