IT gets FISTED here. Super busy and that's unsurprising. EVERYONE and their mom gets the quesabirria tacos here. Even mobile ordering, they'll set an order number limit (when we went it was 2-3) so that people won't farm this item. Keep this in mind since for mobile ordering the wait can span 30 minutes + and some of the slots fill up quickly and of course with every mobile order spot, people line up when their order isn't even ready... Despite this, it's way better than braving the line to order at a cashier. That line has the potential of going through that super long zig zag queue and then going out of the covered waiting ordering area too. It can get upwards to around the time that it would take to wait to get on a ride, so keep this in mind and plan accordingly. With that out of the way, the must here again is their quesabirria tacos. Several people order this and it's, again, popular enough for a mobile order limit. You get 2 tacos per order and it comes with their delicious consomme. Super flavorful and they don't skimp out on it. Comes out toasty hot with melty cheese and super moist birria meat. Good stuff. I mean, sure you can get this outside the park, but if you're not sure what to eat and you can plan to order ahead and pick up, this is a solid choice for non seasonal foods. I've gotten their street corn which comes with a side of wheel chips. It's alright and does get messy, but the corn was mostly cob the 2 times that I've gotten it. Ambiance is super bustling and really busy, each time I've gone here or walked past, especially since the seating area is near so many other eateries and there's not that much seating in DCA in general. This is one item I would get again. The menu changes with the seasons, but some items are available all year. The prices aren't too bad and are a pretty good value for what you get. Carne Asada (Steak) and Pollo Asado (Chicken) Tacos were filling but overall, just okay. I found them a bit bland on their own and needed salsa or hot sauce to enjoy. The drinks and desserts are also worth getting. The most recent dessert I tried was the Ube Cake Flan, and that was on point and just the right amount of sweetness. One of the best restaurants we went to on our most recent trip to Disneyland. Though I've been multiple times to Disneyland since Cocina Cucamonga opened with Disney California Adventure in 2021, I don't remember ever going. It's located in what is now San Fransokyo. The line was very long but it was worth it. I got the quesabirria and my mom ordered steak tacos. We shared beans and rice. The quesabirria was delicious. It was spicy, flavorful, and had a lot of meat and cheese. I enjoy tacos and this was a good one! Same with the steak ones. The beans weren't plain and tasted better than expected. I think they included some meat sauce in it to make it taste better than normal plain beans. The rice was the least flavorful but it was a nice complement to the complexities of the other dishes. Portions were good-sized, too, and there's a lot of searing by the water. Service was wonderful. Had a nice conversation with a young Black gentleman who was clearing tables when he commented on my Warriors hoodie saying he'd get me a Lakers one and then we talked about basketball for a bit. We had a chance to try Cocina Cucamonga at Disneyland for dinner. The restaurant locates in the food court area with many other restaurants. There is a huge sitting area in the middle and even though it's Disneyland, you can almost always find a spot to have your meal so keep looking around. We ordered the QuesaBirria and Carne Asada tacos online for pick up as usual to skip the line. Each order came with two tacos which is a bit overpriced compared to many taco places just outside of Disneyland. We really had high expectation after trying the tacos outside, but the tacos here left us with no impression on the flavor. The only thing that stood out was the crispy shell from the QuesaBirria. The portion was really small that it could have been considered a light snack instead of a full meal. In overall, this restaurant is still a decent place to have Mexican food in Disneyland if you are in the mood for it. However, if you are hungry after all the rides, you may want to order a bit more or try some other restaurants in the same food court. read more

This was the other quick restaurant of choice that was picked for the first day of lunch upon arrival in California on our adventure. While any food would probably would have been great after a 3 am wake-up, what I tried of Hayley and Jen's quesabirria was pretty outstanding. I was very surprised that the quality of food was so great for a quick pick up spot within Disney California Adventure, not because their food is not good, but because of the volume of people stopping for lunch at San Fransokyo square was just overwhelming. Not only did we not have to wait at our respective places of choice, we were all able to sit together and enjoy the beautiful day while we all got to eat exactly what we wanted instead of having to some to a conclusion on what everyone could agree on food wise. They actually were served a little bit quicker than we were at Mama Cass', but only by a fraction of a minute or so, and the food at both places was great. As you can see from the photos, these quesabirria, even when served up at a theme park, were done with care and with a deliciously expert touch. Perfectly finished and pan fried with tons of cheese and delicious handmade birria. The actual liquid birria to dip in blew me away and again, I simply couldn't believe that we picked up tacos this good at Disney. Everyone we encountered in California Adventure was extremely pleasant and helpful as well as upbeat and seemingly happy to be there. This isn't a new experience for me, as this had been the theme at every Disney property I have been to, whether that be Disney World Resort, their cruise line, and now Disneyland! The icing on the top of our visits are that the food simply continues to be great on top of the fact that everyone is just so accommodating and happy, it really creates a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
