Cobblestone Broke My RearView Mirror: I took my vehicle (Acura MDX) for a car wash on Sunday (05/01/2022) at Alma School and Germann Rd location in Chandler, AZ (Location C3). After the car wash, I entered my vehicle and as I was adjusting my rear view mirror I immediately noticed that my rear view mirror was broken and was hanging instead of firm as it should have been. I asked the gentleman who had handed me the keys about it. He asked me to go back to the car wash line where the manager was. The manager outright refused any responsibility and said that none of his guys did it. He said he could give me a detail on my vehicle and he also asked me to get a quote to fix the broken rear view mirror. Today (05/02/2022), I received a call from the manager. He asked me if I ever had a windshield replaced. I said, yes I had other vehicles and had their windshield replaced. He started a long explanation that the guys who replaced the windshield broke the mirror. I told him that I said yes about the windshield thinking that he was asking if I ever had a windshield replaced on any of my vehicles. I purchased this vehicle last June and never had to replace a windshield on this vehicle. When I told him that I had misunderstood his question and I never had windshield replaced on this vehicle, he told me that I had earlier admitted to my windshield being replaced and now I was lying about it. He has offered to give me a detail on my vehicle but I am not interested in this. I want my rearview mirror fixed the way it was before it was broken by the staff at Cobblestone Auto SPA. I would like the corporate office to look into this and remedy this. Dealing with the local staff has turned out to be a very unpleasant experience since they refuse to take any responsibility for it and accused me of lying. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon about 4pm and this place was crazy busy which is a sign that they do a good job. They have a Dunkin Donuts inside and lots of seating for customers to cool off. The store is big with a large selection of everything. The cashiers were super friendly and happy. I chose to sit outside to work on my tan under a palapa umbrella and cozy cushioned seats. I didn't mind waiting a bit since they were so busy. I was comfortable chillaxing outside. They did a great job cleaning my car and the people watching was fun and the customer eye candy was even better . Will definitely be back again. :) read more

Signed up for a monthly membership to get an upgrade to a platinum wash and also paid $57 to have my seats steam cleaned. They only steam cleaned the driver and passenger front seats, but my rear seats were left completely untouched. My floor mats were still dirty when the vehicle was returned to me, and there were still streaks and smudges on the windows and mirrors. You might think that as a first time customer they would take it upon themselves to go above and beyond to ensure that I keep my membership but that was sadly not the case. read more

When I said that's the craziest thing I've ever heard, they said it's because it's a Hybrid. These people are literally scamming lying crooks. I've never come across a more crooked establishment. Took my car in for an oil change. Upon inspection after the oil change and car wash, I found a significant dent on the Front of my hood. Video shows the vehicle entering the garage without a dent In the hood. After service, an employee backed the vehicle out. Video clearly shows the hood now has a dent. We reviewed the video several times. At this point, the manager "Matt" became abrasive and stated that the damage was not done in his shop. He then asked me to leave his shop . While waiting for Matt to return, another employee apologized for the way I as being treated. He said "that is the way Matt is." Matt returns with a phone number for his boss "Shawn Liburge". I called first thing today and left a message. 8 hours later, still no return call. Not a good way to treat a 9 year multi vehicle customer. read more

What an awful experience which unfortunately was my very first time coming to this car wash. I decided to go for the highest level wash, the platinum wash as well as sign up for the membership which they were running a special on for only one dollar more. Kyle the very nice gentleman who assisted me as I pulled my car in communicated that I was to be receiving with this platinum package a full exterior as well as an inside clean. He specially mentioned how they would clean the full the interior: doors, dash, and vacuum and shampoo the floor mats. I was shocked at how quickly they finished and that's where things took a turn. I open my door and immediately realize the floor mats are still dirty, the inside of the doors still dirty, nothing looked like it had even been touched with the vacuum. As far as the exterior goes, the front end around where my front license plate is located didn't even look like it had been washed with soap and water at all. Needless to say I was very upset. As I mentioned this to what I assume was the manager since he was telling other workers outside what to do, he looked at my receipt, (made sure he grabbed the tip from my hand as well) looked at me with a pretty annoyed look and told me to pull my car into the self vacuum spots and they would do it for me. Well it was 110 degrees outside and since I was pulling into the vacuum area and no one was coming around to help I decided to start vacuuming myself. After I noticed more and more of a completely lazy job well done (cup holders were still dirty, dashboard, radio and steering wheel had not been wiped down) I once again approached the manager he once again looked at me annoyed and sent over two guys with some towels. One of them said to me they would do it "again". Right. Anyways after they rushed around to try to finally clean my car properly I had had enough said fine and thank you and decided to pull back into the front to speak with Kyle and let him know how dissatisfied and disappointed I was with my experience. He was nice and courteous about making it up to me but at the same time driving home I'm not too pleased at all after spending the money I spent at this place. Oh I almost forgot! They even forgot the air freshener. I'm not one to come on here and rant but I definitely felt pretty upset with this entire experience and now as I have a membership here felt I need to alert whoever is in charge that the customer service I got today was extremely poor. read more

So my husband and I both have memberships to this car wash and have for years. It's never been the best service but kind of learn to expect mediocrity. Yesterday I got talked into a detail upgrade because I wanted my car actually cleaned before we installed our second car seat. I waited over an hour to get my car when they said it would only be 10-15 minutes more than it usually takes. Honestly I would have been fine with the wait if my car looked good but of course it didn't. This one time upgrade was $67 and there were goldfish still on the carpet (not smashed) but full goldfish crackers. Streaks everywhere, blatant spots that were just not even wiped down. It was awful work. Mind you I go to the car wash a couple times a month, so my car is pretty darn clean and just needed a little extra love. At this point of waiting I am 8 months pregnant and needing to get me and my 1 year old home and couldn't wait for them to redo it. So just a warning to others to not waste their money. Easy and quick oil change with a free car wash and interior clean. The mechanics were awesome and friendly, and they actually explained everything to me- I wish I knew their names! They checked all the levels in my car, filled up tires, changed air filters, and vacuumed/wiped down. Glad this was such a smooth and simple process. I don't know why I come back here. Amidst covid they have several employees not wearing masks outside while cleaning car. The young man had mask off while talking two feet away then put it on when nobody was around while he vacuumed. Restroom was atrocious. Paper all over floor. Urine smell. Jackson's is 10x better. this cobblestone is a shining example of how a car wash should be. I have always had excellent car washes at this location while the other cobblestones have largely been a let down. I have a platinum wash membership and purposefully visit this location because the wash attendants take time to thoroughly wipe down my truck's interior and exterior after a wash. They even go ahead and reattach my antenna since I remove it to prevent damage before going through the wash. It's a night and day difference between them and the other locations. Additionally, the shop has a nice selection of drinks/snacks and clean bathrooms. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the company doesn't hold its other locations to the standard seen at this one. read more

Absolutely horrible. Just a turn and burn location. Zero pride in their performance! This is after paying for their highest package. These are the results you get. I called to let a manager know and ask for a refund. They want me to come back so they can now do the job right. I don't live in this area or want to travel all the way back for something that should have been done right in the first place. Such a waste of my time and money. To add, I am well aware this isn't a car detail service but if you want your car to even look like it's been vacuumed or even wiped down. This isn't the gig for you. You will be disappointed. I came in for a wash and asked them for the $30 wash. I was charged $31 plus $2 for 3rd seat minivan. I questioned the charges from the cashier, and she said to talk to the guy at the front of the line. Returning there, he wasn't anywhere to be found. I watched the car come out of the wash, and the guys moved toward the vehicle. Nobody got in the back of the car to clean. They the cleaned front inside the windshield reared the window and dried the outside in spots. The headmaster came over to get his ticket, and I said what about the rest of the windows he said we are done with the car, and I could have it; I said I won't ever be back and such poor service and attitude. He said he didn't care. They wouldn't miss me if I never came back. If I could leave a ZERO I would have. read more

I canceled membership online but have not got any confirmation and have never received any emails about memebership renewal notices. Horrible car was experience, I got the platinum wash and was called up with them saying my vehicle was at the finish line. I walk up and could obviously see that it was properly cleaned. Told the guy that it's not done I can visibly still see it's still dirty. So the continued to clean the vehicle. They again called me saying my vehicle was completed. I didn't even have to get up from the chairs by the finish line to see that it was still dirty. I then walked up and started pointing out all the spots on just the drivers door and rocker panels. Got called up again and you could still see that it's not clean. At this point I was just frustrated and left. Come on if you can see smeared dirt from 20 feet away it's not done. Giving this place one star because of the dishonesty and theft. My husband and I took our car to have about $200 worth of services - oil change and interior and exterior detailing. When we dropped it off we had about $2 in spare change in the hidden compartment of the arm rest. When we picked up our car, there was only 2 pennies. Not any amount that is going to break the bank but definitely the principle of the situation. Being able to trust businesses is a BIG deal and knowing an employee at a business would destroy that trust for about $2 in change is a game changer. Employees are a reflection of their employer - good or bad. We asked to talk to the manager. When we explained the situation and showed him the compartment that did not get vacuumed or need to be vacuumed (since that was his excuse as to why it disappeared) he changed his story to "that type of thing doesn't happen here." I told him it was already happening. He tried to say it never happens and i had to tell him this wasn't an isolated incident and pretty sure this wasn't the first occurrence. It was probably the first reported occurrence. Again, $2 isn't a big deal. However, being able to trust a business enough to want to spend $200 for services is. The flip attitude of the manager and his excuses then lame apology is not what we hoped for in reporting it. We definitely won't be back. We would rather spend our money at a place we can trust. read more

They are efficient, friendly and my monthly membership allows me to get my Jeep Grand Cherokee vacuumed, washed and hand dried twice a week if I want. I was a member off and on at the Alma School and Germann location since 2016. I moved to this area at that time and had previously held memberships at their Val Vista and Baseline location over the years. Overall, the service has been good. I have seen Cobblestone go through a lot of change over the years, some for the good, some for the bad. Through thick and thin, including a consistent drumbeat of incremental price increases to their unlimited plan and most recently, the additional $25 imposed charge for conditioning to the exterior trim of vehicles outside of the monthly cost paid for tire conditioning in the unlimited package, I had remained a loyal customer. Until now. When I went this weekend to get my truck washed, I was told that my roof rack would not be allowed going forward. Disappointing to say the least. I understand there are a select few customers that had a bad customer experience when it came to their racks and their equipment. However, this set of circumstances is very similar to car antennas. Cobblestone has disclaimers posted in high visibility areas about antennas why wouldn't the same logic apply to roof racks? Let the customer incur any potential risk. Another consideration to maintain customer loyalty may be a hand washing option. I know the decision to ban aftermarket roof racks is already having huge detrimental implications on the business based on a discussion I had with the onsite manager. What's alarming is the rule had just gone into effect 2 days prior. Based on this series of experiences, I've become disillusioned with Cobblestone and asked that they cancel my membership effective immediately. I gotta admit I was skeptical about going here after reading the reviews on here; but since I'm new to the area and having driven 700+ miles from CA to AZ, my car badly needed a bath and this is super close. I was debating whether to go with the $5 express or the full service wash. I hadn't gotten a full service wash in a while so I thought I'd splurge. I went with the cheapest wash that included the tire treatment. I also wanted the inside vacuumed for me and they said all the full service include vacuuming. It took less than 10mins to get my car through the actual wash but then I waited a little longer for them to dry and clean the inside. As I watched them do that, I can tell the effort they were putting to get all the bug guts off my hood and windshield. They also cleaned off the sticky leftover residue on the inside of my windshield from an old phone mount. That effort right there is what inspired me to do the review. The reviews I read said the workers didn't pay attention to detail. Well, my experience was the total opposite. There were 3-4 people working on my car and several of them worked on getting all that gunk off the hood and windshield. I totally appreciate the effort and the results. On Monday (4/3/22), I got an oil change and the suggested battery replacement. I've gone to Cobblestone for more than 12 years for washes and oil changes. On Tuesday? I was very lucky I didn't have a serious accident as I traveled on the 202. My car came to a sudden stop shortly after exiting the 202. A Good Samaritan tightened the battery for me, after I explained it was a new battery. When I got home, my husband tightened it even more with pliers. Today (Sunday), the car died again. My husband was with me. He had to tap the battery posts with his phone each of the 3 times the car died (1.5 mile trip). At home, he proceeded to tighten all posts. All were loose. I spoke to the manager of Cobblestone. She told me that the staff are all highly trained professionals who definitely tightened everything on my car. She offered to take a look @ it. My problem is that Cobblestone is about 3 miles away & I'm afraid to drive it that far. Further, her pat answer really bugged me. No apology. Just an offer to look at it. I spent $229 for a bar clay wax on my car on my 1st visit. Yes my car was shiny but my spoiler was still dull, for that amount of money, the shine should have been blinding, but it was just ok. My car is red with black rims and I explained to the guy that I could not bend to do the inside of my rims due to me being disabled with a bad back and hip. When my car was returned to me the inside of my rims still had the same brake dust inside the rim. To make a very long story short, I was and still am very displeased with the lies the guys tell you just to get your business but even moreso with the service. Shit, my car came with more stains that it didn't come with. I would give this establishment 0- minus stars, but I can't. If you want a half-assed job on your car where they have to run it through the wash not once but twice, then Cobblestone is where you should take your baby to get mistreated. read more

This was my second time at Cobblestone. The first time was a few years ago and I was not impressed then either. It was busy so I had to wait in a line for a little while (which was no big deal). I was approached and told the guy which wash I wanted, he then tried to sell me the unlimited package and I said no. He tried asking again and I had to keep telling him no. Then after that the windshield guy came up and tried to find chips in my windshield and started asking for my insurance info, then I said no and he went away. I decided on the works package which is not the most expensive and not the cheapest. I was very disappointed. I was not expecting a detail of the inside but a good wipe down was promised in the description. When getting into my car I stepped in a massive puddle of dirty water. So not only is this not a great wash, but they fraudulently put me on a monthly membership while telling me it's just a one-time charge for one month of unlimited washes. This happened to me last October and they've charged me $20 a month ever since, it's apparently actually a recurring monthly thing and I have not given them permission to take funds from my account month after month. In fact, I called them in January when I realized they had charged me for 3 months already and told them about their fraud and they are still taking money from my account every month many months later! I've called them several more times to find that their automated phone system often doesn't work. Their outgoing message instructed me to go to their website to cancel, so this is obviously a common issue. Then the problem is that their website doesn't function properly and won't allow me to cancel. The bigger problems is that they will probably continue trying to take money from my account each month and they already owe me for several months. Someone needs to stop these thieves now.
