Saturday was the first time my friends and I have been in for the private karaoke rooms. It was so much fun! I loved how the rooms had a lot of sound dampening so we were able to hear ourselves sing. Went here saturday march 14 for the first time. We waited at the bar a hour for a grill table to become available but enjoyed ourselves. Cool futuristic surroundings, bar staff was friendly also, Maggie the bartender was informative and helpful. After we got sat at the dinner table we ordered our food which came out quick. Nick the food runner was friendly and provided great service. Heather our waitress was friendly and explained to us how to properly cook our proteins, we did ask her at one point to bring more kim chi, and cucumbers which i guess she forgot about and did not bring the refills until we were almost finished eating and full. They are a bit pricy, we paid 40$ each for approx 15 slices of American Wagu beef ( Japanese Wagu was pricier) but it was delicious. The honey marinated beef was my favorite , and i love that i was able to prepare my food to my liking. The lucky buddah beer was a smoothe tasting lager also. I will return here again , and took away 1 star because of Heather forgetting about bringing us more side dishes . read more

Came here on a Wednesday night and most of the bbq tables were full, so definitely recommend reservations. They have a fun drink menu, so I got the boba cocktail! We started off with a variety of appetizers including the kimchi dumplings, wagyu hand roll, spicy cucumbers, cheesy rice cake, and fried snacks. The kimchi dumplings were ok. The fried snacks probably were the table favorite as they had a nice wasabi dipping sauce and included a variety of tempura fried vegetables. We then shared a bunch of different meats to bbq with vegetables. The marinated meats had a nice flavor. The A5 was excellent. The sauce served with the lettuce was great with the meats. They also give a flavored soy sauce and salt for the meats. The kimchi carbonara was super unique and tasty. Also, that was definitely the largest portion.The korean patatas bravas were also delicious. For dessert, we had the black sesame panacotta. It was a bit too sweet and the only thing I would say I did not enjoy. Overall, a super fun place to go and bbq your food as this is the only Korean bbq in town. Food was rather good but service was very slow. Not sure why, but took over an hour once seated to receive our uncooked meats to eat. Finally after 2 hours we were finishing up. Just handed out card to the server and the manager asked nicely for us to relocate to the bar shortly as they needed the table. I was not upset since I already paid and was leaving but seems dumb to have such a long wait for u cooked meats and then needing the table like like the customers are spending to much time at the grill. Blehhhh. Wanted to love this place so badly. We live really close, and have been complaining for years about the lack of good quality Korean food in the Burgh. So when this place opened, I was ready to become a regular right away. Sadly, the food is super expensive and just...not amazing. I have been lucky enough to dine with Korean friends who cook the good stuff, to live in big cities with amazing Korean restaurants, and to visit Seoul. So I may not be an expert, but I've def tasted the good stuff. And this is...just not it. The veggies were kind of bland and the flavors weren't poppin. The truest marker of good Korean food in my estimation is the veggie side dishes & the kimchi. If you get those right, you're solid. Their kimchi was weird, not spiced right, not fishy enough and not salted properly. There was a distinct lack of sesame oil in their food, and the veggie sides were very forgettable and bland. I think Pittsburghers deserve full flavor - this place could be a hotspot, they just need to turn the flavor dial from 2 to 10!!! read more

First time coming here off a recommendation from a friend. Super hard to find and looks like a strip club from the outside. But turns out this hole in the wall restaurant is some of the best Korean BBQ I've had in this area. The food is amazing! And the staff is even better. I've never been to a restaurant where the whole staff was absolutely amazing. The staff was super attentive. The atmosphere was super cool because they were playing super cool lowkey hip-hop music. I honestly can't think of anything to complain about. The beef was fantastic. Got mochi for dessert and it was tasty as heck. The ambiance of a former strip club really suits this place well. It really gives the inside more of an upscale look and the food was incredible. They were out of a few items due to supply issues, but everything really was incredible. I do have to admit, parking was nearly impossible. read more

The vibes of the place are cool. I was excited to find a Korean bbq in Pittsburgh that lets you grill your own meat. The benches in the section with the bbq grill tables are so uncomfortable, I hope they get actual booths so patrons can relax. This was such a terrible experience that I created a Yelp account to write a review. The service was slow and terrible. It took over 15 minutes to place our drink order. After waiting 30 minutes for our drinks, the server came back and forgot what someone in our party ordered. I ordered a glass of orange wine, when I asked why it wasn't orange and why it was sweet, she said that it was a bad batch and had an explanation. Why wasn't this explained before I ordered this? She then suggested a Riesling as she said it was dry and not sweet. I questioned this but said I would try a sample of it. After another 30 minutes she brought out a sample of Chardonnay? She said that the bartender told her the Riesling was indeed sweet. We did not receive any food at our table until 9:30 and we were seated at 7:15... I had asked another server if our order was ever placed being that we cook most of the food we ordered and he said he would look into it. By 9:45 our food arrived. The food was good, or it was good because we were starving who knows? The menu said the meat was served with rice, which never arrived, only the rice we paid extra for. After this the manager comes to our table and reprimands us for us not knowing that this would take a long time. I don't think anyone expects to wait an incredibly long time for drinks or most of their meal being uncooked. He was trying to spin it on us as to look at the positives instead of apologizing. He knew we were upset and then was putting the blame on us. It was the most bizarre thing. We said we just wanted our checks and he blamed this on us as well that she had to split everything up. She asked at the beginning how we wanted this split up so I'm not sure why it took another 20 minutes to do so after we were done eating. This also wasn't done correctly but we wanted to leave so we weren't scolded again by the manager. He then came back to the table to say we were harassing the staff and one of the other tables heard us, which did not happen. If you want to be scolded by the manager and waste 3.5 hours of your life then this is the place for you. read more

I came to this place due to a birthday gathering and I thought it was overpriced compared to the portions. I ordered galbi and they only have 6 slices of beef... The food was very salty as well. So I went during their soft opening and I really hope they work out the kinks because I want to love this place soooo bad. The karaoke rooms are legit open so you can't really do karaoke if they have a DJ. I guess maybe if you arrive early karaoke might work. Our reservation for dinner was at 10 and we weren't seated until 11:15. When they took us back almost every single table was empty so I'm not sure why we waited so long. The food was amazing!!! They did give us some free appetizers for having to wait over an hour. Their coat check was full which I have NEVER experienced, that's a massive oversight. Do better we live in Pittsburgh, a cold city where people, you know, wear coats. Bartenders were rude and inattentive. Don't expect service unless you're scantily clad. Drinks were pretty sweet, the popping boba were gross, I switched to beer almost immediately. If you're coming for dinner just know that this is a club environment and you should prepare for it. Who I presume to be the owners were nice and helpful and seemed to want everything to roll smoothly. As a parent with a child who has severe food allergies the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating in order to be able to provide my son with a very similar experience. Place is way overpriced, loud, and dark. To have a conversation at your table you basically have to scream at each other over a 2 foot range. The seats are extremely uncomfortable, I'm going to see my chiropractor on Monday. The food was average at best, but our server was fantastic. read more

I've been to Cobra multiple times and loved it but our last visit really ruined it for all of us. There were 6 of us at a BBQ table and our reservation was at 915pm. The waitress was rude and cared more about going home than being attentive to us or coming back to the table to ask if we needed anything. Other times we have come our servers were top- notch and really spent time explaining about the meats and cooking recommendations. We had out of town guests who had never come so they had no clue about anything. Only reason we knew what to do was because some of us had been there before. They literally set the food down and walked away. Not a single explanation. We did ask for our check appropriately on time but were definitely rushing to try and finish all the food. So, by the time we got our checks and cashed out, it was 11:15/11:20. We understood they closed at 11 but we were really doing our best to finish up as we all work in the service industry and understand what that is like. So when the waitress did bring our check (over $800 btw) and we thanked her, she made a rude comment and said "yea were all very eager to get home, were obviously closed." and walked away. For paying close to a grand id expect more in terms of professionalism. Not to mention that the manager (i'm guessing) also rushed other customers out and as soon as we walked out the door she immediately locked it behind us and started walking away. We told her that there was still a member of our party inside who had to rush to use the bathroom because we had a long drive. She made a big show of showing how annoyed she was. Again, we understand that it was past closing but some of the things we couldn't help and there is absolutely no reason to be rude. We own restaurants in the Pittsburgh area and frankly it's so unprofessional, and we are very forgiving and never complain because we understand the business. Some workers really need to be re-educated on what service is. We will not be back and that makes me sad, but I can't get over the looks we were given and way we were treated. read more
