I called in a little over a month ago. ordered a yoke for the back of a 1356 transfercase in my bronco. i went to baja, came back and went to install it but it was incorrect. i made multiple calls to cobra thinking i was going to get the run around. everytime i got someone they were very pleasant, easy to work with, and wanted to help me and resolve my issue. without hesitation they put me in contact with a guy in charge. i sent photos of what i had and what i needed. within a couple days he had found what i needed, sourced it, and sent it to me. i then tried out the new part and it is perfect. i was very happy with the way they handled my order and resolved the issues for me. i will be a repeat customer. read more

I came across Cobra Transmission searching for parts for a rebuild. The transmission in my 1980 Toyota 4x4 pickup decided to go a week earlier. Mind you, this truck is old and certain parts are a little difficult to source. The Toyota dealership near me wasn't much of help. I'm glad I found their website. They have parts big and small for your transmission needs. There are pictures too to give you a reference to look at (that's a plus in my book). I already knew what parts I needed. Placed an order, and got it within 3 business days. Keep in mind it was Labor Day weekend and the next business day didn't start until Tuesday ( I placed my order on Sunday 9/6/15 and received it by Thursday 9/10/15. From Georgia to California. I paid almost 600 dollars between two orders with cobra. The first order, I paid for 2nd day air. After 4 days went by, I called to find out where my parts where and they told me they hadn't shipped yet because they were still waiting for one of the items to come in even though their site said it was in stock. After my parts arrived EIGHT days later (mind you, I live within a four hour radius of them), I tore into my trans and found I needed a couple more pieces so I ordered from cobra again thinking they'd get it right the second time. I went to assemble my trans yesterday and something was off with the new input shaft I had ordered so I called them. The first CSR I talked to was great, I explained what was going on and he said he'd needed to speak to his supervisor so he put me on hold, got right back with ne and said they'd ship me the correct shaft out at no charge to just send the first one back once the second one showed up. I then asked if they'd send me the $1.99 one time use clip that I would have to take off ro re assemble the transmission again. The CSR said that would be a question for his manager who was unavailable and would call me back. The manager john a. (As his email signature states) called me right back and informed me I could either ship the first shaft back and wait for them ro receive it then they'd send me three correct one OR I could buy the correct one and send the first one back then they'd refund me but either way the return shipping was on me. I brought up ro John a. What his first csr told me and John informed me that the first guy wasn't authorized to do that even though John is who the csr put me on hold to talk to. Funny part is, I googled their new part number and found their considerably more expensive than several other sites.... my jeeps still broken, I have a useless input shaft, and now my attorney has gotten involved, all for a part that's less than 100 dollars.... I'm impressed with the staffs professionalism and attention to detail. I ran into a problem finding a specific transmission housing bushing with no resolution from the dealer or other online services. I found cobra transmissions and was able to speak with a gentleman ,who allowed me to provide measurements of the bushing since the part number would not cross reference . His willingness to assist my situation is almost unheard of in the parts business. Many times if the computer doesn't list a part correctly or if there's a variation from model to model the parts counter person will provide two well known excuses "oh it's a dealer item or that parts discontinued " either case not allowing you to show or explain the part that's needed.
