My wife and I had dinner here tonight and it was outstanding. We got there shortly after 7pm and they were able to seat us right away. The place was pretty packed so I'm glad we didn't come earlier. We both had margaritas which were awesome - clearly made with fresh lime juice and no skimping in the tequila. For our meal we shared the half chicken with mole negro and the pork dish. Everything was perfectly cooked and flavorful with just the right amount of "kick." Friends who were leaving shortly after we arrived recommended some desserts but we were too full from our delicious dinner to have dessert. We will definitely come back. read more

Honestly some of the best food in the Hamptons. Every dish is perfect, the sauces are amazing. The ceviche out of this world. We loved the 2 fish main dishes. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I dont know why this place has 4 stars... its horrible. It is a nice restaurant but the food sucks and it is not Mexican at all. Perfect dinner... break your own tortilla chips served with three different salsas, mini crispy tuna tacos and platter of whole chicken adobo served with hand pressed tortillas and mole were unforgettable! An expert bartender who knows what he's doing with crafted margaritas and prickly pear limeade. Host and staff were incredibly warm and accommodating throughout our special meal. We were on our way back to our hotel since our dinner plans got cancelled. While driving, we fell upon Coche Comedor and decided to give it a shot. It turned out to be an awesome experience. Everything from the food to service to music was amazing. They have a bunch of vegetarian options which could also be vegan if you forgo the cheese. We just had our second dinner in Coche and we're absolutely in love with this place! The food couldn't be better.. Great margaritas, fresh and creative. My wife and I have been in Amagansett this summer and we have been eating out quite frequently. Coche had been receiving a lot of buzz so we decided to check it out. When we arrived it had only been open for about a month so we were generally pleased with the results. We both enjoyed the white wine and guacamole to start. The octopus starter was the only thing that was no good, and it was not good at all. My entree was really nice, a well prepared cod al pastor. It was creative and delicious. I would highly recommend this to anyone dining here. Overall it was a nice experience, the service and decor were good. I imagine we will be back next season. read more

I so much wanted to like this place, serious Mexican food being a passion. Started well, 1st visit pretty good, with my GF, though the food came so quickly it had to be precooked. Yet a nice, serious mole negro. So I returned alone last Sunday evening, not all that busy, slid onto a bar stool, 5 guys working the bar. 10" to get a drink, 5" more for a menu and 15" to finally catch one guy's eye and be asked if I'd like some food. An excellent couple of apps, but again served in a flash. So, last night after a movie, decided to give them one more chance. 9:30 PM, bar not too crowded, got a drink and a menu fairly quickly, and then - 2 guys working hard but I couldn't be noticed, 2 others, including tall surfer blond Joe so involved in preening about being bartenders at a buzzy Hamptons place, they couldn't possibly stop to provide service or ask if I'd like to order. When I finally decided to leave and stood up, yup, one came over. Too late. So, for precooked meats and awful service, this one is yours! read more

Food was nice but overpriced. Ordered tuna taco appetizer and was disappointed at the micro sized portion. Expressed to waiter who responded "you ate it so you liked it". Bad experience. Bad service. My appetizer was already cold when that server realized we didn't even have utensils to eat it. Had to asked for water 3 times and a lady brought my margarita because the waiter forgot it. Paella came and was literally a soup, they fixed it. I had the worst restaurant experience so far and had to pay 100% of my bill. I work in the service industry, that was the only reason we tipped 20%. Your service deserve 0. read more

A welcome addition to the east end. Have always loved Fondita, and now w/ a proper sister bar, solid after dark dining options and set within a very credible and creative menu. Driving by last night on the way for dinner and saw it was hopping at Coche so we stopped in. Walter the Maitre d said 20 minute wait so we decided to stay and get a drink at the bar - margarita up with salt - excellent!!! Martini glass with thick rim of salt a good pour of tequila and fresh lime juice! Our table was ready before we got our first sip so we sat down and checked out the menu. Amazing! Meat, fish, poultry - everything fresh! We started w guacamole and shishito peppers both wonderfully prepared. Service was excellent with Walter and manager Ryan adding to the coverage by waiters and busboys - this place is run well! And very friendly! I had the ribs and my wife had the fresh catch of fish. Finished with the tres leches cake - delicious. Our new favorite. Already told are friends they need to go. Looking forward to do it again and be sure we weren't dreaming ;-) read more

Sorry, not a fan. Very high salt content in food...so much so that you taste nothing but salt. Can imagine the acoustics in season to be extremely loud as we were here off season, restaurant was not full, and it was already loud. Service was good. read more

Went for dinner on Friday. Not too packed. Not too loud. Comfortable enough. Tried 3 apps, a salad, an entree and drinks. Food was disappointing at best - salad was soggy and surely refrigerated for hours, apps were lackluster and bland. Entree was greasy. Service was brash and careless. All in - doesn't get my vote. read more

Arrived at 5:15 to avoid waiting for 5:30 dinner opening. Place was packed at the bar, really noisy. They text you when ready to seat you, good system. Food was ordinary, nothing special, service OK. Really loud, music blaring. Prices reasonable, but overall thought this place overrated, despite heavy buzz. Would not try again during summer season, better options around. read more
