The wrong pair was ordered (though i said i wanted the sample they provided which i was told was in my chart) and shipped to me and then i had to call over 8 times to get in touch with someone. Two weeks later I provided my credit card and was told the new contacts would be in. I called 1.5 weeks later and was told they will need my credit card to order. There is a clear disconnect between front and back office and it is difficult to manage when each conversation is repetitive and continues to cause a wrong next step. It is now over 5 weeks since i first ordered my contacts :( this is frustrating. Great clinical care, but be wary when ordering contacts/glasses. I'll likely be looking elsewhere to avoid this experience again.

From February through June, I tried one contact lens after another with this other practice, and they still couldn't get my prescription right. It was a nightmare! I was running out of time, contact lenses and patience, since I rely 100% on contact lenses for vision. Out of desperation, I booked a visit to Sudbury Eye Care. In contrast to the large corporate practice, Dr. Labiento: 1. Took as much time as I needed for each visit; 2. Had a huge inventory of trial contact lenses in stock, which she could tinker with as needed by applying magnifying lenses; 3. encouraged experimentation across a broad range of contact lens brands, including many boutique brands. Within a short time she had optimized my prescription, each eye with a different brand. When I showed up at Dr. Labiento's door my eyesight was so bad I couldn't legally drive. It has been almost 3 weeks since my LASIK procedure and I am in awe of my new eyes! I was very…read morenervous going into it, but looking back I had nothing to worry about! From the initial consultation, the staff were friendly, patient and understanding of my nerves. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Giles was great and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The procedure took less than 20 minutes and was painless. After the procedure I experienced very little discomfort and after a few days, any discomfort I did have completely went away. I experienced dry eyes for the first week, but since then that has also gone away. Being able to see is the greatest gift and I am beyond grateful to TLC for giving me the gift of eyesight. If you are nervous to get LASIK, know that I was too, but wish I hadn't been so nervous because in the end I had such a positive experience.

I called to get the price of a contact lens exam, which isn't covered by my insurance. I was quoted…read more$80. They charged me over $132. I said that when I called I was quoted $80, but they didn't care. They told me that contact lens exams start at $80 and said she should have told me that. Whose fault is that? But I'll take that up with the AG's office. I also had a regular eye exam, which was covered by my insurance. When I looked at the prices of the frames, most were between $550 and $750, and that was without the lenses with all the special coatings they were pushing. Then you have to wait after picking out frames because there's only one person that handles the ordering. When it was my turn, she made the comment that she really liked my frames. I said, "Good, put lenses in these frames" and I took the glasses off and handed them to her. (I prescription shades in the car.) The frames I was wearing were much nicer than any that they had. And my glasses only cost me $325 INCLUDING LENSES at Waverly Eye Care in Belmont. I would have gone to Belmont, where they only charge 50 bucks for a contact lens exam, but it was toward the end of the year and they didn't have any appointments before my benefits would expire. (My bad.) I should have known when MyEyeDr was the only outfit that had plenty of appointment times available. It's because they're so wildly overpriced, deceptive, and upsell driven. In addition to all that, the trial contact lenses that they gave me had expired over 7 months prior to my appointment in December, 2025. Is that even legal?
