This place may have one of the worst parking lots on Convoy, a long line just to order, and a tiny, crowded interior, but the quality of the food and generous portions definitely made up for it. The Thai style desserts were a real hit! Not too sweet, fresh mangoes, and a nice overall balance with their sweet and savory items. I still think about the food whenever I see my photos on my phone. For sure will be back!
I'd never had mango sticky rice before, but this was AMAZING! I got the mango sticky rice topped with coconut ice cream and evaporated milk. Everything was perfectly balanced. It's not overly sweet, super flavorful, and surprisingly refreshing. The employees were friendly, service was good, even with the long line our order came out quickly, and parking wasn't too bad. The space itself is pretty small and gets busy, so I probably wouldn't stay to hang out, but I'd absolutely come back for the dessert!
Love the new Coco Bomb location! It's right in the heart of Convoy, making it the perfect spot to grab dessert after a meal nearby. Super easy to walk over, and it's tucked away in the China Max plaza next to Bonchon. This location feels a lot more open and lively, but they still kept the same cute ambiance from the Linda Vista location. The staff was also super nice and accommodating! They don't offer samples, but the flavors are pretty straightforward, and I love that everything is made with natural flavors. My go-to is always the 3 scoop sundae. Coconut is definitely my favorite, and the rest are pretty much tied I just rotate through them depending on how I'm feeling that day. They are all good tbh. Definitely a great addition to Convoy and an easy dessert stop after dinner!
Coco Bomb is hands down my favorite spot for Thai desserts. The sticky rice is perfectly cooked, sweet, and chewy. Their ice cream is packed with flavor so you can't go wrong with any of them. We opted for pandan and it was delicious!! The $11 is a great deal for the sundae in a real coconut or the mango sticky rice. The other desserts were perfect to take home and enjoy. We tried the Thai tea pudding first and it has a very strong tea flavor. It's topped with a sweet evaporated milk which would've been better if it was also a pudding texture. The liquidity of that layer made it a bit messy to eat. Overall we would absolutely come back for the sundae and mango sticky rice.
This was the best thing we had in SD! Coconut meat (fun fact: coconut meat is endosperm) so good on my tongue fr the food and drinks are so good and you can tell it's real coconut and all that good stuff! was so good I had to go back the next day and it's upsetting that this isn't in the LA area. The only bad thing is that all the food and drinks in this plaza are really good so the huge parking lot is always full
I visited the first location a while back. I m happy that they now have this location. The egg yolk mooncakes were lovely. We first ordered the purple yam one. It was warmed up a bit so the egg yolk was still liquidity, which was what we preferred. The first one was so good that we decided to try the original one. They over warmed this one. The egg yolk dried up. Still good. We also tried their Pandan ice cream. It was good. We could taste the Pandan and it wasn't that sweet. The coconut water was decent. It was expensive tho. I dunno if I would get it again. At the market. A good one at Tokyo Central could sometimes be $1.99 or $2.99. Last time, we even got it for .99cents. Overall, a good place for drinks and snacks.
Amazing must-try dessert spot with home-made ice creams that are dairy free and vegan! We got the coconut smoothie, which was so flavorful - and you could tell they blended up the coconut meat into it! We also tried to coconut sundae with mango and Thai ice cream which were both super smooth. So worth the try ! Their staff are very friendly, and I appreciated that they had a lot of hands working in the back to make the lines go fast. Such a tropical paradise inside!
Food: Coconut Sundae (10/10) - Not only did the fresh mango and coconut slices actually taste fresh, but the ice cream flavors were rich and full of flavor too. The coconut was my favorite, followed by the mango, then the Thai tea. I also loved mixing the flavors together because they complemented each other really well. My favorite combo was the mango and coconut in one bite. They also drizzle condensed milk on top at the front, and you can ask for as much or as little as you'd like. Service: Super sweet, welcoming, helpful, patient, and conversational. Ambiance: Such a cute little shop. There isn't a lot of seating, but it's really cute and chill. I also loved all the greenery and plants, which made the space feel fresh and inviting.
My friends and I went to their soft opening to check it out. Interior is really small especially when there are people waiting in line, which basically blocks the one entranceway which makes it hard for people to get in and out. Limited seating, but cute decor. The ice cream is vegan so one of my friends w a ton of allergies was able to eat it. I will say though that all of the flavors taste a bit like coconut, but I would imagine that is pretty expected here ;) Coconut Sundae: 5/5 option to choose 3 different ice cream flavors. Big enough to share w my sister - Pandan: 5/5 - Mango: 5/5 - Thai: 4/5
The shop itself is small but very cute and thoughtfully decorated, making it a nice place to hang out with friends and satisfy a sweet craving. We ordered the mango sticky rice, lot chong, ruam mit, and coconut sundae. Unfortunately, the desserts were a bit hit-or-miss. The mango sticky rice had fresh mango, but the sticky rice was much sweeter than expected and overpowered the dish. The lot chong was on the opposite end of the spectrum- too bland and not sweet enough. The ruam mit was very similar, with the addition of corn, but still lacked flavor and sweetness. The coconut sundae wasn't too bad (you can never go wrong with ice cream!). Since this location is still very new, I'm hoping they're still fine-tuning some of their recipes and dessert flavors. It's a cute dessert spot with a fun atmosphere, but the flavors didn't quite wow me this visit. Worth trying if you're in the area, and I'd be open to coming back in the future to see how things evolve.

The line was a little confusing because there's not a designated waiting area, and the menu is posted along the wall where people would usually line up, so it got crowded easily. I ordered the coconut smoothie and you can really taste the fresh coconut water flavor. It's not creamy as I initially expected but it's more like a refreshing coconut water slushie. It was SUPER sweet though, so I would order with no added sugar next time because it was hard to finish the entire drink. I saved some and made a matcha at home with it! I'm excited to try some of the other fun desserts they have.
Delicious and their ice cream is vegan and gluten free! They have a coconut sundae with fresh mango and coconut and three scoops that you can choose the flavor of. They also have delicious mango sticky rice, drinks and other things. Service was quick and friendly and there's seating inside and also space to stand if tables are occupied. Parking in the shopping plaza is available. Great value and quality.
Tried the coconut sundae at the OB farmers market weeks ago and I have not been able to stop thinking about it since. I can't move on. The ice cream tasted so refreshing and the texture was incredible. It was like what you want snow to be. I expected it to taste like canned coconut milk but it was like eating and drinking a FRESH young coconut in ice cream form. I hope I can return.

Never thought I would DoorDash my order specially ice-cream but when you have Cocobomb sundae cravings YES!!! I ordered Coconut Jelly and Cocobomb sundae added extra topping sticky rice , mango and more coconut meat yummy!! We were looking for a place to have some desserts at after eat at PHO NOM which is just down the street. We searched on YELP and found COCO BOMB. I love mango and sticky and ICE CREAM and COCONUT. This place seems to have it ALL so we stopped by... FIRST THING WE NOTICED:: DRUM ROLLS:: THE MASSIVE LINES!!! Lines were forming from the door to the parking lot!!! THOUGHT TO MYSELF: Is this Coco Bomb or is this IN n OUT burger?!?! AMBIANCE: 8/10 Small, cute, tight and very cozy cafe. I would recommend TAKE OUT unless you are ordering ice cream... SERVICE: A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Impressively excellent and professional service even though the store was super crowded and busy... Second location! Ice-cream is so refreshing and creamy. We got the bowl with Thai tea, coconut, and mango. Amazing! Gobbled it up so quickly! Small cafe limited seating. Parking is also limited as well can be rough if you're going at busy time. Will come back again! read more
So delicious! We got the coconut sundae with two coconut scoops and one pandan scoop! The land an was very good, but subtle in flavor. Next time, I will try another flavor. The coconut ice cream is divine though!! It comes with mango and coconut meat shavings. We added sticky rice for $1.50 extra, so it was a bit over $13 total. It was on the bottom of the coconut, and it was sooooo good. It's very sweet. Tastes amazing with the ice cream and ripe mango! Service was very quick even though it was a packed house! The most Thai tea flavored drink and ice cream I've ever had. My son got the coconut ice cream (and to my surprise, it tasted straight from a sweet coconut). My boyfriend loves coming for the regular coconut drink with coconut pieces as well as blended. Definitely our new refreshing dessert after a solid family dinner or just a quick treat on these hot summer nights. Both times we've visited, everyone was extremely nice and service is fairly quick. We love the space and how clean the storefront is. Ample space for everyone and a little standing room also. read more

I love Coco Bomb!! I first tried their coconut sundae via DoorDash from their Linda Vista location and knew I had to try it in person. The decor is cute, they have a mini waterfall wall which is cool to look at. The service is good, orders come out pretty quickly. It does get crowded and there's limited seating, so plan to take it to go! The coconut ice cream in the sundae is probably the best I've ever had. Wish the mango portions were more generous, but overall exceptional flavor. Their menu has a lot of different items so I'm excited to come back to try more! read more
This was a cute place! We were in the area and my friend really wanted to check it out! We just beat the rush, which was good as there's limited seats inside. The offer a variety of different t options which is always great. We really liked how they also offered a few dairy free choices as well. So glad they opened another location! Found out about them at the farmers market downtown and visited their og location and really happy they've expanded to this area and it's open much later, till 11pm! Perfect for a late night snack! Their coconut ice cream is pure perfection! And the fresh mango is always perfect with it along with the coconut meat too. I studied abroad in Thailand for 6 months and I just love the way the Thai make coconut ice cream , so glad they have this place here, it's authentic, fresh, natural and delicious! Service was prompt, came on a Saturday evening and surprised not too busy, was able to order in 5 min! Cashier was friendly and nice. Ambiance is intimate and a feel good atmosphere. Love this place and can't wait till one day they expand to oc!! I literally drive down to sd to indulge in this!! Happy that they opened a second location closer to me. Stopped by to support during the soft opening and it was busy! Glad to see people are supporting due to this come with patience (for the parking as well). I think you spend more time looking at the menu trying to figure out what you want. Since I'm lactose intolerant it helps to dwindle down my options. The coconut sunday it too much for a single person. I asked how big the scoops were and was shown a small portion. Due to this I ordered 2 scoops, but they were bigger than what I was shown! Yay, but wasn't ready for the extra yummy-ness. I ordered the Thai iced tea (my fav) and mango flavors. Both were good, fresh tasty and not overly sweet. Highly recommend starting with an ice cream scoop to start if you feel overwhelmed with the options. read more

Mango sticky rice ice cream is so yummy on Convoy Street. This is their second location. They are currently remodeling their first location this year in Linda Vista Road. The mango sticky rice ice cream was yummy. The sticky rice is made soft, sticky and sweet. The mango scoop of ice cream just melts into the sticky rice making the combination so perfectly satisfying with fresh cut mango. This is a summer treat need to stop by and enjoy. read more

If you love coconut, you'll probably love this place. Everything tasted fresh, creamy, and not overly sweet. You can tell they use real coconut, and it really makes a difference. The desserts were refreshing, beautifully presented, and perfect for a warm day. The Coconut Cake was absolutely so good. I ended up buying three boxes to take home! The Ruam Mit was also my favorite. Big thanks to May and Miew for recommending such amazing desserts. Definitely a spot I'd come back to! read more

The dessert I got was absolutely delightful, enjoyed it and loved it ! Definitely will be back for more ! Service was really attentive and employees were very nice. The Coco Sundae is a standout, featuring delicious taro, fresh coconut, and smooth pandan ice cream that blend perfectly together. What really impressed me was the mango--they use the Asian-style champagne mango, which is hands down one of the best mangoes I've ever tasted. It's exceptionally sweet, juicy, and flavorful, making every bite feel like a tropical treat. The quality of the ingredients really shines through, and everything tastes fresh and authentic. Fresh. "not too sweet" (aka a compliment of dessert from an Asian mom) Very reasonable price (fresh fruits, good presentation) in CA. I will definitely visit again (of course no during the crazy weeknights and weekends in Convey area). Limited sitting. Maybe max 18 sitting spaces. read more

The desserts here are SO GOOD!! So happy they opened another location. Parking is very hard in this plaza during peak time but Coco Bomb is worth it. A few tables inside but can get busy. The coconut sundae comes with 3 scoops of ice cream. Highly recommend the pandan and coconut flavor. Thai tea ice cream was okay, not my favorite. read more
