The service was wonderful as well. We were seated right away, but by the time we left there was a huge line out the door, so definitely plan ahead if you want to avoid a long wait. The karei (curry) is thick, hot genuine Japanese, not the weak watery stuff of adjacent cuisines. The rice was very slightly dry but that was remedied by the curry poured over it.
