bulgogi tacos
Charlize V.

Flavor is pretty solid. Think the tacos had a lot of sauce but could have used more cabbage to cut through it - i got the mandoo and gochujang. Some of the wings were pretty tiny.

My husband ordered a spam misubi and a Kimchee roll and I took bites of each one. They were freshly made and piping hot - yum! It did seem to take a little longer for the food to come out but this was during dinner rush so I can't be upset about that. They seem to have specials throughout the week so be sure to check that out. Overall a very solid food choice!

Spicy Pork Rice Bowl

Got the Spicy Pork Bowl. My friend ordered the Beef Bulgogi. Both were tasty and staff quickly prepared our food. I loved all the sauce options. I opted for the gochujang in the bowl and spicy aioli on the side. The rice, salad, and japchae included in the bowl were all delicious. Best japchae I've ever had. Service was great, and there was plenty of seating even on a Saturday. The ambiance is food hall style, but there is enough room to comfortably dine and talk with friends and family.

Poke bowl

Korean poke bowl - I think I was expecting more but it was a poke bowl like most other places. Half rice, half salad with half salmon and half tuna, and topped with gochujang and spicy aioli. It was ok.

My first time here and there was no line when I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. The service was friendly and my order was ready fairly quickly. I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Rice Bowl and you get to choose two sauces. I went with the Gochujang and the Kimchi Jalapeño Ranch, and I loved both. The beef was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I really enjoyed the rice bowl and would definitely order it again.

Chill option. Will do for a healthier meal option imo. Not the best version of each item in the bowl, but it did the job. I don't hate it.

One of my favorite spots here at liberty station, I love the diversity in food, the fusion and flavors. They have a good variety menu, I really enjoyed my kimbap musubi and I loved the crunch and flavor of my nachos, nice twist off the fries. The Garlic wings were really good too. Service is great. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Lots of other restaurants in the market. Definitely try!

Popcorn chicken bowl

Of the countless food options that exist inside Liberty Station, BOPJO caught my eye because it seemed to be the one thing that stood out from the rest of the food in the building. A unique take on Korean and Mexican food, I was happy to have been able to give it a try. Also, it was one of the more reasonably priced restaurants in the building. I ordered a popcorn chicken bowl with a spice level of 3 out of 5 and a loaded kimbap musubi. I enjoyed the bowl a lot more, though it wasn't exceptional, I was a fan of the large portion they gave me. The musubi was sort of falling apart before I even began to eat it, and to be honest, it looked a lot bigger in the photos they had of it on the menu. One thing that I really loved was the salsa verde I had that came with my bowl. It was the spiciest sauce they had out of all their sauces and it was amazing. It was at that level of very spicy but I could still enjoy my food at the same time. It really helped give the bowl and extra kick.

Beef bulgogi bowl

I ordered the beef bulgogi beef and was very excited when I got my order. It comes with half rice, half salad, and japchae and kimchi as toppings. What was disappointing was that my salad was gross. It consisted of mostly wilted decaying greens. There's no way the preparer could not have known so that's disappointing. Not very honest as a business. I went back to tell them and ask for a fresh batch. Flavor, cut, and cook of the beef was also mediocre. It wasn't the thinly sliced beef that's grilled or stir fried. It was more like chunky rectangles that were over cooked. Would not recommend for the price. Looks nice. Very misleading.

Located inside the Liberty Market and conveniently by one of the exits, Bopjo was a good find. Service was good. She was helpful. I got 2 tacos and was able to mix and match with tofu and soyrizo. O got the gochujang sauce and loved it! I really like the fusion of both Korean and Mexican flavors. I'm glad I have it a try!

This place was a surprise. We found it toward the back of the market. It was awesome that they offered cheese instead of tortillas since my sister had many allergies. She had several choices available. It was also very nice to sit on the big outside patio. A very relaxed vibe.

Beef bulgogi rice bowl dressed with gochujang and kimchi jalapeño ranch

I ordered a beef bulgogi rice bowl dressed with gochujang and kimchi jalapeño ranch with a side of miso soup and a kimbap musician. The rice bowl was layered with an exciting combination of ingredients, flavors and textures that landed perfectly. This location is set in the Liberty Station Public Market, which is a great gathering place filled with many vendors. The restaurant is counter service and the seating is open and shared with the rest of the Market. I will definitely order from Bopjo in the future!

Bulgogi Beef Burrito
Lynn L.

ORDER bulgogi beef burrito (3.5/5) -- w/ kimchi jalapeño ranch overall, the burrito was pretty dry and you can only really taste the kimchi rice. the burrito would've been better if the cabbage was some type of slaw to enhance the flavor and help with the dryness. there is VERY little meat given. the bulgogi beef had no flavor as well. essentially, the burrito was just rice and cabbage. the burrito comes with sauce on the side, but not enough is given considering the size of the burrito. we went with the kimchi jalapeño ranch, which didn't have much of a kimchi flavor and was super light. SERVICE (5/5) nothing special about the service. the wait felt quick. AMBIANCE this is located in the food court right where the liberty public market sign is. there are a ton of food places as well as both indoor and outdoor seating.

Is the kimchi vegan? Or does it have shrimp paste?

Hi there, our kimchi is not vegan. Thanks for asking!

Gluten-free options? no wheat, soy, barley

Hi, unfortunately we’re very limited in gluten free options as we use soy sauce in most of our marinate and sauces. I apologize for the inconveniences caused.

Tapas style menu, we were a party of 4 and ordered: Squash blossom Relleno - it's the flower part of a squash plant and stuffed with mushroom duxelles which resembles a meat mixture with squash succotash. Outside is a corn tempura with a tomato base sauce. Pulpo-grilled octopus, one of the best texture and perfectly grilled skin with a chewy yet soft interior. The sauce has a slight kick and crunch from the corn nuts. Crab corn doughnut- this is their specialty and we were about to skip out but glad we didn't. The brioche bun had a donut batter with lumps of crab salad and corn mixture on top. El Festin- perfect for our party of 4 because it was a platter full of 4 Cheese quesadilla, 4 shrimp, 4 chicken slices, 1 jalapeño bacon wrap, ribeye. Flan-we should have each ordered one ourselves! Great flavors and texture, the top had ancient chocolate soil and had crispy corn nuts. Different but yummy. Overall, delicious food that came out so quick, great ambiance, we celebrated our birthdays and were each gifted candles with our names on the label. Truly amazing from beginning to end. The vibes were so chill. Music playlist combo was perfect. So glad I did! Phenomenal service. My server Alex G. was the sweetest! I arrived shortly Monday afternoon so they weren't very busy. The food was ok, not much of a selection was available. Loved my brownie ice cream. So delicious. I was in food coma. My favorite was my personalized birthday candle! Definitely recommend this spot!

It's always a great place to stop before or after going to the airport because it's that close. We originally went there for an early dinner, but happened to meet the happy hour time frame (3:30-5:30). They have a wonderful array of drinks and appetizers to choose from. The most expensive being $11.00. Each appetizer is enough for two people. A man at the bar asked me if I wanted some of his guacamole dip because he could finish it all. He looked like that was his dinner meal too. I declined, since I was favoring the ceviche and chicken tinga tostadas. Both tasted delicious. I heard the bacon wrapped jalapeño were good but not gf. So I didn't try them. The views from our table were spectacular. They had many GF options listed on their menu. Our waiter, Jared, (so helpful and attentive), told me which items are more gluten sensitive and which ones were gluten free. The drinks were tasty and refreshing too. Definitely a place I'll be going back to with family and friends

An Unforgettable Birthday Celebration!…read more I took my husband here for his birthday this past Monday, and the entire experience was absolutely incredible from start to finish. First, the location and the views are simply stunning. It set the perfect backdrop for a celebratory evening. But what really elevated the vibe was the music! The playlist was so on point that I literally found myself dancing in my seat to every single song. It created such a fun, lively energy. I also have to give a massive shoutout to our waiter, who was incredibly attentive, warm, and anticipated our every need. The entire staff went above and beyond to make my husband feel so wonderfully celebrated. From a sweet little "Happy Birthday" sign to a surprise dessert at the end of the meal, every detail was thoughtful and perfectly executed. This place is truly incredible. We will absolutely be back!

It was grilled perfectly here! The chunks were big enough so you get the squid flavor. It also comes with a sweet/spicy sauce which was unexpected but really yummy. -Battered Fish Taco: my favorite dish! Huge flaky piece of fish that's fried really well. Not too much rough and you can really taste the fish. -Chips and Guac: fresh made guac! Get it as a side order and you can add to your tacos too. It can get really busy here. The chorizo wasn't like Roberto's so there was no grease dripping down my hands. That usually means either too much eggs or better quality meat. I think it was the latter. It tasted like restaurant chorizo. We sat down and enjoyed our stay. The flow of customers was consistent for a Saturday morning. Our favorite was the vibe. We are so lucky to get Mex at any corner. So something really has to stand out. It felt like a family taco shop. The "Dad" was the best! He called the orders like he was asking if we did our chores and called the kids coming in mijo. He made sure that we had what we needed - reminding us to "eat all" of our food then danced behind the counter. It was a fun breakfast.

We left right away to pick up the food and sure enough it was ready waiting for our arrival. One quick drive back home to dig in and the aroma was so enticing. California Burritos is very apt for their name, my bf rates it a 10/10. As a California Burrito connoisseur, he liked the addition of sour cream in it and said the flavors were delicious. He topped it with their green salsa for a little bit of a freshness to cut through the richness and fattiness of the meat and fries in the burrito. He didn't care for the fish taco that much and rated it a 4/10 but said the restaurant overall was a 10/10, as he thought there was too much lettuce and tomato throwing off the ratio of the taco. I, on the other hand, am a huge fan of veggies and liked the ample amount they provided. ---- There's a couple benches outside in front of the shop and seating at booth tables inside as well. It's a bit smaller to sit inside, I recommend sitting outside to enjoy the fresh air and the sunset is beautiful. ---- Overall: if you're in the mood for California Burritos come to the place rightly named California Burritos!
