I went in on Thursday to get a gel set from Kelly, when I left I noticed they were super gunky & gluey underneath i went back the Friday so that they could shave underneath & still they were messy underneath. Saturday comes & I'm noticing the bases lifted and are pulling on my hair when I run my fingers through & one of the nails even popped off. Today is Sunday & another nail fell off. I went in for a gel manicure and I had a 1pm appointment, I even arrived 10 mins early. They told me they were running behind and that I would have to wait, I didn't get helped until 1:15 but that really wasn't the problem. I wanted the color to be a jelly color because I didn't like any of the pigmented colors they offered. She immediately rejected me and told me I had to pick one of the colors they already had. I said that it would be easy just to mix a clear with one of the colors they had to make it look jelly like but she said no and said that it would be more service and be an extra charge which doesn't make much sense because mixing two colors together takes literal seconds. I took the no and just chose a blue color that I liked, but while she was trimming off the edges she was being aggressive with it I'm not sure what time they close but I came in at 2 and she was being very rushed. I purchased a Groupon for their hair spa package. They got the right idea (scalp massage, facial massage, neck massage and deep conditioning for your hair...) but I felt the staff was not ready or trained to do it. The lady was very nice but the way she did all those things were so random, like she'd massage my scalp for 3 strokes and changed to neck massage for 5 strokes, moved to scalp again for another 4 strokes... I wish she would do one area and really gave a full massage on that area, then move to the next. It felt like it was the first time she did it, very unsure about the process or how to do it. My second time here, this time with Kelly for powder nails. It couldn't have gone more perfectly. She did an amazing job shaping my nails, cuticles and painting each layer carefully. Called to make an appointment for a cut & color a week prior. Upon arrival, the salon was empty and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience with the stylist. I'd purchased a voucher for the service and was told that there would be an additional cost that was 3x the value of the voucher, on top of what I had already purchased. I certainly understand that there would be an additional charge for significant length, but apparently their basis begins at a pixie cut length (whereas at most other salons, shoulder length is standard). This should have been mentioned when booking the appointment that their rules were quite different. Moreover, to charge 3x the cost of the voucher in addition to what was paid was exorbitant. I felt very uncomfortable from the point that I entered and it was clear that they did not want to complete the service, just felt that they clearly didn't want me there (despite having no other customers). Truly felt discriminatory based on the experience and how I was treated. Will certainly not be returning for any services. read more

Never going again. Made me bleed during pedicure. Was gonna do my hands but the girl was eating and then comes and tell me she had another appointment She could have told me this before I go in. They agreed on doing both and after I sat down she went to eat and came and told me she can't do my manicure and I had a wedding the next day. Purchased a Groupon for Gel-X manicure and had a very mediocre experience. Usually Gel-X includes gel polish, but here it only comes with regular nail polish and if you want gel it's $15 extra. Also you can only choose square shape, anything else is an extra $10. Basically the Groupon is not worth the value. I also got a pedicure for $25 which was good, but my manicure polish was not applied smoothly so it doesn't look that great up close. Overall very nice ladies working here, but quality is not the best for Gel-X nails and their Groupon is a little misleading. read more

Ok my review has nothing to do with customer service. She was amazing! So sweet and kind. Talked with me and we had nice conversation. I'm not sure of her name, but She is super nice! Now, I got a dip powder mani. The color came out lighter than what the swatch looked like which was a little bit of a let down but I can get over that! Here is where my problem is: She kept getting the sides of my fingers and underneath with the buffer machine and it hurt so bad, a couple of my fingers got skin pulled off. Some of my nails have lint from the towel and some of them are bumpy. I'm not a fan of my nails :( but she was so nice and sweet that I hate to leave a bad review, but it is an honest one. If I was basing this review solely off of how my nails looked I would give it about four stars because I love the color and how it turned out, but they lost a star for cutting my friend's finger and making her bleed (see photo). The reason for only giving two stars is because the environment was pretty bad. Before my lady even started doing my nails she was FaceTimeing someone and kept apologizing and clicking the FaceTime button and it wouldn't go through and that lasted for about 10 minutes before she even started doing my nails. Then another lady who seemed like the owner of the place came over to my friend and I and kept asking if we would be coming back to a point that was too much. After we were about to leave she said "you can leave tip either cash or Venmo what would you like to do". I had SUCH a wonderful experience at Coco2 Hair & Nails & I cannot say enough good things about Kelly & Kendis. I have been getting my nails done at different salons for many years. In terms of self-care, I most definitely fall into the category of high-maintenance. I was pleasantly surprised by Kendis's work. She is a perfectionist & an artist. I maintain a really short nail length, due to being a violinist. She was extremely attentive to EXACTLY how I wanted my nails to look. Kendis somehow managed to amaze me with how beautiful she made my stubby finger nails look. She's a miracle-worker! And to top that off, she was so kind, gentle, friendly, & professional. During my manicure, I was fortunate to have been able to chat with both Kelly & Kendis. I learned that Kelly is expertly skilled in installing hair extensions. She even knows how to do the Invisible Bead Extension technique. Over a course of decades, she has been innovating different ways to make hair extensions more versatile. She is a little-known pioneer in this industry & it was a privilege to pick her brain about what she foresaw as the next awesome advancement in hair extension installation techniques. The day prior to my visit to the nail salon, I had gotten hair extensions put in with another specialist at another shop. I had not yet met Kelly at that point. I did pay a fortune to hire an Invisible Bead Extension Certified Specialist to install my hair. The experience was well worth it & the specialist that I used did an exceptional job. I felt so much peace of mind in knowing that when the time comes when my IBE wefts need to be moved up, I have not one but two extraordinarily talented specialists who can help me. Kelly is currently doing techniques that the other specialist does not do, so that is such an exciting thing to explore with her. Namely, she will be offering a technique that will enable her to install extensions in strands. Using this technique, she will be able to help a wider range of people with varied conditions of hair because being able to install strands truly lifts the limitations that all other existing extensions currently pose. These sisters are also very generous beings. They give back to the community, they give back to the world, & they care about the people they meet. They do what I would describe as missionary work, as well. They donate their time & money to help those who are less fortunate. THEY ARE ANGELS. It brought me so much joy to know that when I spend money at this salon, that these ladies are giving some of that money away in these epically loving, charitable gestures. I am happy to be a new & soon-to-be returning customer. I LOVE these ladies! One last thing I should mention is that their prices are unbeatable & fair. If you see a Groupon for the shop, I would encourage you to REFRAIN from going through Groupon & to simply call the shop directly to schedule an appointment. The cost will be about the same. Groupon is a great resource for finding new customers, but they do charge the businesses a hefty fee to be on the site. To best support small shops like this one, sparing shops those Groupon fees can mean the difference between a business being able to thrive versus merely being able to survive. read more

I think this was the worst experience I've ever had getting my nails done in my life - she started off by to roughly PEELING and SCRATCHING my nails to get the previous gel off my nails... when I asked her if she could just soak them she said she didn't need to because the gel was loose already... as I could feel like layers of my nails getting painfully scratched off. Then when she was cutting my cuticles she cut me on two different fingers and blamed it on my "hangnails" and "dry skin". My fingers were bleeding and she proceeds to put ALCOHOL on my cuts, which made it burn so bad. I'm pretty sure you're supposed to use hydrogen peroxide to effectively stop bleeding with very minimal pain, but no, I guess not. Then she didn't even wipe off my blood before starting to paint my nails ‍‍‍ it was so gross. After she applied the color, it really looked like a 10 year old did it - the color wasn't applied evenly or even to the edge of my nail. My nails were getting caught onto fabric after I left and I had to fix it when I got home. Deffffinitely never returning and I recommend you don't either because there's way better shops. read more

I'm really disappointed of this salon's customer service. If you take appointments, you should prioritize those customers WITH appointments. I made appointment with KELLY for manicure at 6pm a week in advance. While I was driving there, Kelly texted me at 5.30 (30 min before my appointment) to tell me to come at 6.30 but I said I had other things to do later so I'd prefer 6pm. I got there on time at 6pm and she was still with that customer and asked me to wait in my car for 30min, I sat in my car waiting patiently and at 6.30 I asked her if she was done and I could NOT wait more that 30 min!!!! But she couldn't even tell me how much more time I needed to wait. THIS IS RIDICULOUS and DISRESPECTFUL! My time is precious and I respect other people's time, and I would really love if those people can respect my time as well. Everyone here is super super super duper friendly which is not very usual for most of the nail salons I've been to so for customer service they get a 10, but I have them only 2 stars because they didn't honor the Yelp check in for 10% off for new customers that they have advertised and even after they refused it to me when I went there a few months ago I see today they still have that check in offer up on Yelp Not good business to offer something to get clients in and then not honor it. I also see quite a few comments here about them also charging more than what customers purchase on Groupon. Your business should be embarrassed that they list offers and discounts and don't actually honor them. read more
