Don't judge a book by its neighbors. This is a cute, clean, friendly restaurant that happens to serve the best curry (in my opinion) in town. They actually let you taste the curry before you choose. Make sure to let them know if you have any allergies they will point you in the right direction. We had a great dinner and they have a liquor license so you can get a beer or cocktails. Bonus!

CoCoCurry found a new customer! I received amazing customer service! Oh I wish I would have got her name but not only did she welcome me immediately, she asked if I wanted to try all the different curries. I sampled each one and they were absolutely delicious. I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted. I ended up choosing grilled shrimp with flat noodles and the Khao Soi Curry. I added some heat as well! This curry I was told is a northern Thai curry. I also added Thai omelet for $3 more. As soon as she put the food down I smelled the warm spices with the cilantro. The shrimp were nice size (tail on). I enjoyed every last bite and left nothing. Flavors were bold and the medium heat was perfect. So many different ways to create your food just how you like. The add on prices I feel are reasonable. CoCoCurry is small inside but the decor is amazing, the only downside is the parking. Very tight parking! I can see them opening up another location eventually. I highly recommend going and giving them a try.

Possibly the biggest five star review I've given. One of the best curries I've ever had. I love how they have beers from Thailand and Laos. And the curry sampler to start things off is great. The hosts were so friendly and take pride in their restaurant. We loved it.

Everything was delicious! Where do I start... the build your own curry concept is so fun. You basically go on a little curry journey before even sitting down, and it definitely wakes up your taste buds. We went with the Massaman with crispy fish fillets and rice, and the Khao Soi with grilled king mushrooms over egg noodles... flavors galore. Lita walked us through all the base and topping options, which made the experience even better and truly appreciate that extra connection. No complaints. 10 out of 10.

Two things assaulted my senses the moment I walked in. The first was the girl behind the counter asked me to taste test all five of their curry. She said the khao soi was her favorite, and I was convinced into agreeing. I was also partial to the mustard flavor and fragrance. If I hadn't tasted them, I was probably going to order the massaman. They were all delicious though. Well, I did find the green curry a tad weak, but that was at least partly because I had to taste that one last. And green curry has a softer flavor to begin with. The second assault was there was some relatively loud music playing. Not super loud. Just noticeably louder than average for a restaurant, and yet, it was super relaxing. Because it was, like, some Bossa Nova cafe vocal mix. I only know that because I just could not remember what the genre was called, so I went and asked the employee about the music also. Anyways, I ordered the khao soi (hot) with rice and chicken thigh, and it was amazing. The umami of the curry impressed me a second time. The chicken and breading were both soft. The onions and fried egg also mixed in perfectly. This is easily some of the best curry I've had in San Diego so far. I also ordered a tom yum noodle soup with beef. This was also good, but not as impressive as the curry. I believe their meat is also made the same separately no matter what entree you're ordering, so the meat is not made specifically for the soup. Aside from that, the only other negative I can think of, if it can even be considered a negative, might be the location? The neighborhood outside is slightly sketchy. There was a homeless person sitting in the corner in front of the 7-eleven next door. Another homeless man with no shirt on came around the other side of the building and was hanging around in the parking lot right in front of the restaurant. The vibe of this joint really pulls you in though. Something about it feels like an oasis and encourages you forget about the outside world once you're inside. I don't believe in stuff like feng shui, but if there's any truth to it at all, I'm sure this interior design gets an A+ in it.

The vibe is so cute coming in! Service was very welcoming and friendly :) We got to sample all of the curry before making a decision. The worker recommended the khao soi with egg noodles so I decided to get just that :O! I chose to add crispy duck leg as my protein. My partner ended up getting the pork belly with panang and rice. Both were very delicious and I can't wait to come back!

CRISPY DUCK PANANG CURRY WITH EGG NOODLES Iced Pink Milk

Randomly found CocoCurry on social media and their food looked so good that I had to check it out, and I'm so glad I did! This place has such a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted by one of the owners, who was incredibly friendly. She welcomed us in, asked if we had been there before, and once she found out it was our first visit, she offered us samples of the different curry options. Every curry we tried was delicious and unique in its own way. My personal favorite was the Panang, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their options. The concept is build-your-own, so you choose your curry, carb (rice or noodles), protein, and any additional toppings. I went with the Panang curry with crispy duck and egg noodles, and it was amazing. The duck skin was perfectly thin and crispy, while the meat was juicy, succulent, and packed with flavor. The Panang curry had the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors with a nice little kick of spice. The egg noodles were cooked perfectly and really brought the whole dish together. The service was also phenomenal. Not only did she give us such a warm welcome, but she gave great recommendations, kindly walked us through how to order, and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying the food. Overall, we had such a pleasant experience here. Great food, amazing service, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to coming back and exploring more curry combinations. I would definitely recommend checking them out!

I have dined in and ordered out from here multiple times. Ambience is good. Small little seating section for about 5 to 6 groups. The restaurant is decorated nicely love the pops of yellows that represents curry. Service is always great when I come in. Greeted as soon as you walk in the door and promptly seated as I have not been when it's been busy the cashier offered a tasting of each curry so that we knew which one we would love the most. I have had a variety of the dishes here and they all have been phenomenal. The most recent dish I've had was the salmon with rice and the pan curry. The flavors were dancing in my mouth. Parking is shared with the others two or three stores in the plaza. It can be a bit tight. I would highly recommend.

I bookmarked this spot last year and we finally got around to dining here on Thursday for lunch at noon. Parking lot is shared with 7-11, Barbershop and Jewelry store. It feels a little sketchy on the outside but the inside feels like sunshine. We were greeted by the friendly woman behind the counter. We welcomed us warmly and clearly explained the process and other menu offerings. We got to sample all the curry sauces, it was hard to choose since they were all divine. She sat up at a table and brought over menus and water. I peeked at the menu before we arrived and had my heart set on Khao Soi with the steamed tofu, rice noodles and Papaya Salad on the side. My friend ordered Massaman with veggies and Jasmine Rice. She also got a Thai Iced Coffee Togo. Both of our meals yummy. I wish my Papaya Salad came with the fermented fish sauce. We ended up stay long after we finished lunch just chatting. There were a few other patrons dining during our visit. Definitely tempted to come back to try a different combination and may the mango and sticky rice.

This is a such a nice little restaurant. As soon as you walk in you can see and feel the care and love this owner has put into this space. She will greet you first and have you taste her incredible curries. There are six of them. Each are delicious and unique from the others. You chose your protein, add a curry and a base. They also have other dishes as well if you don't want curry. We order the khao soi, Penang, and green curries. We had the crispy duck, salmon, and chicken. Also ordered the papaya salad. Each was delicious and we all enjoyed our dishes. We also tried the mango and sticky rice. Definitely will come back here.

I'm not a huge fan of curry but this place made me change my mind. They have different types of curry and you can choose your base and protein. I came in with my friends when nobody else was in the restaurant so we were able to sample their different curry flavors. The girl that served us was very nice and informative because we did not know what we wanted. They have other dishes as well but the curry was the star. There's also a few selection of beer and wine. The restaurant was clean. It is a small establishment so it can get crowded and there's not a lot of parking.

So happy that a Thai curry spot opened in this area! There is a good variety of options, but I tried the Penang Curry with Corn Thai Salad as a side. I ordered to-go and the food took about 15 minutes to prepare. The Penang curry was amazing. The Corn Thai salad was not my personal taste since the corn was a bit chewy and tasteless; also I didn't like so many onions and spicy fish sauce with corn. Though it was probably my second time ever having Thai corn salad. Service was great as the cashier was kind and helpful! The interior is small and cozy. Parking can be a bit difficult since the lot is tiny and shared. read more

We ordered the chicken breast with yellow curry and cabbage, plus the pork belly with massaman curry with rice and veggies. Both dishes were packed with flavor and came in generous portions. We also had the pink milk and the Thai tea with coconut milk, and both drinks were refreshing and so good. While waiting for my mango sticky rice to go order, the staff kindly let me sample all of their curries so I could know what to try next time--and they were all delicious. I honestly don't know how I managed to make room for the mango sticky rice after everything else, but I'm glad I did. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The only small downside is that the parking lot is limited, but don't let that discourage you. The food, drinks, and service make it absolutely worth coming here. read more

Straightforward and simple. Clean and fresh place that simply makes tasty curries. I chose the crispy duck leg and it was moist and crispy. I had been misled by some YELP reviewers who praised the Khao Soi. (Khao Soi is a traditional curried noodle soup from Northern Thailand.) The flavors were excellent but I was seeking the soup base and the contrasting noodles. (Soi 30th has an authentic version.) read more

I've been wanting to try this place out! We were greeted when we entered the store and got to taste test the different types of curry before ordering. The panang and massaman were our favorites but the other ones were just as good. Its like build your own with options of carb base too. Prices are reasonable for the portion, additional sides are ~3$ extra. Sad that bean sprouts and lime are additional too though, so I would forego that. The food was delicious! New Thai curry spot in city heights! There was a small parking lot with a few spots. Love how they gave curry samples before committing to which curry sauce. The staff described their concept as the "chipotle of curry" haha which is exactly what this place is. You choose a protein, your base, curry sauce, and your side. My boyfriend got the khao soi curry with crispy pork belly on rice noodles and a side of spicy cucumbers. I got the panang curry with grilled salmon on egg noodles with a side of papaya salad. They were doing a soft opening special and offered 10% off!! Tried their Thai ice tea and Thai coffee but it was too sweet for me. Only suggestion is that in the future, maybe they can work on offering a non sweetened drink option? Food was so delicious and flavorful, will definitely be back! read more

What a unique concept! This new Thai curry spot is just two weeks old and I think it's worth checking out. They offer several curry flavors that they allow you to taste test. I really appreciated this idea as curry flavors can often be confusing. Then ordering is similar to chipotle where you pick a meat, curry flavor, rice or noodles, and sides. I got the panang curry which I thought was really yummy. I think the papaya salad was just ok. They cut the veggies a little differently then traditional papaya salad and I wish it was seasoned a bit more. Hopefully I can come back soon to try the other curry flavors :) read more

Coco Curry absolutely blew me away! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming they made us feel right at home. The service was top-notch, and everyone was so friendly throughout the entire meal. But let's talk about the food... WOW. I've had a lot of Thai curry in my life, but this was hands down the best authentic Thai curry I've ever tasted. Rich, flavorful, perfectly spiced, and just the right amount of heat every bite was heaven. You can really taste the love and tradition in their cooking. 100000% recommend the crispy pork belly. It's to DIE for. If you're craving Thai food or just want a memorable meal with amazing hospitality, Coco Curry is the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

I came here a few days ago with friends to try this place and was pleasantly surprised by our experience. I noticed driving by a new spot just opened up so I decided to assemble friends to support a local business. The restaurant is located in a little plaza next to 7-11. The inside is modern with a nice aesthetic. We were greeted immediately as we walked in which is always a good sign when it comes to having a good experience. The worker let all 6 of us try each curry type they had like it was an ice cream shop. None of them disappointed. I ordered the pork belly, yellow curry, rice and spicy cucumber. It came out to be around $20 with tip (I threw a little extra in there since they're new and I came to support them). The curry was smooth and not too overpowering. The pork belly stayed crispy while the cucumber was a nice bite to cleanse my palate. I enjoyed the whole meal. We also go to try the mango sticky rice dessert. I don't like coconut so I did not enjoy the rice part but the others who do like it, did. Overall, this is a great addition to the City Heights area and I can't wait to go again! read more

Oh my gosh! Hidden gem of a place off El Cajon Blvd. They have so many delicious selection of curry that you can actually SAMPLE!!! They are ALL good. The portions are plenty large to share. You essentially customize your own curry dish with your choice of meats, veggie options, and carbs (rice, noodles...). They also have some pre-made standard Thai dish to choose from as well. Its quickly become one of our favorite curry spots. The food has been consistent and delicious every time we've come. Heads-up, there is very minimal parking - its a very small lot that is shared with the 7-11 next door. read more
