Honestly, I have major regrets for not getting the pizza here! We came here to try the banana bread and got the chocolate chip banana bread - I am at a loss of words to say how good this was! It is definitely by far the best banana bread I have ever had in my entire life. husband is a major fan of banana desserts and he actually said the same thing ! The banana bread was melt in your mouth soft even when we had it later in the day. The chocolate chips were so well distributed and everything was so good. We had a hard time stopping and actually ended up finishing that whole loaf among the two of us. Road to Hāna is a popular destination while in beautiful Maui, so definitely add Hāna Farms to your itinerary as one of your stops (right after mile marker 31). Reccomended by our dear friend's daughter who had recently visited, we stopped here just in time to eat before doing a strenuous trail hike nearby. I was WOW'd the moment I got out of the car! The property is breathtakingly lush, a tropical oasis. A great read on their website about their history btw! In a nutshell, there's a quaint marketplace selling fresh tropical fruit, as well as, local crafts and baked goods. Our main reason for stopping was to eat pizza (as recommended, lol), but had I known there was a lush 7-acre tropical farmland we could have booked a tour, our gang of 6 would have did it in a heartbeat! Okay back to our lunch, which was also located on this amazing property, was at the Bamboo Hale (pronounced "hah-leh"). Woodfire pizzas and farm-to-table salads?!?...you don't have to twist my arm! The complimentary hibiscus-infused water was quite refreshing too! I was humbled when the friendly young girl behind the counter asked me, "what island are you visiting from?!?" I first came here three years ago and I have been looking forward to tasting this pizza again for the last six months. They thankfully open at 1030 am and you better believe we stopped at 1045 am for some of this delicious pizza! This was one of our favorite stops along the road to Hana and actually on our entire trip to Maui. The pizza was cooked to absolute perfection, my husband loved the prosciutto and fig pizza especially because it was unique and unlike anything either of us had ever had before. I definitely ate my portion as well, but I would love to try another flavor in the future! We also tried the lilikoi soda, it was a little too sour for our liking but feel free to give it a try! Otherwise I would suggest just buying a water cup for $.25 and letting the pizza be the star of the show! The seating area was very clean and pleasant, great bathrooms, fun atmosphere, awesome employees who gave great suggestions and service. We really enjoyed taking a walk along the market and buying some snacks for our way home. Their banana bread was our favorite of every one we had tried (there are approximately 72 banana bread stands along the road to Hana)-- yummy chocolate chips and a sugar topping... but the real star of the show was their "jungle bar", you can't ever go wrong with butterscotch and graham crackers. You're super tired, but you find a hidden jem on the way to Hana which offers wide variety of healthy choices and freshly made wood fire pizzas. No wonder Hawaiians know how to chill.
