It's like if a dive bar, a seafood restaurant and an old people country club had a baby. Personally, I love this place. This is not a fancy place. It's raw indeed. There's a claw machine for you to catch your own lobster but, according to the sign taped to it, it's "broke." Through the murky water we think we saw lobsters... It's small. It's a bar. It's fun. The waitstaff is very nice. My Long Island Ice Tea was the real deal. We both got the fisherman's platters - his broiled, mine fried. Both good, but not spectacular. I liked the scallops the best, so if we ever go back maybe I'll just stick to those. We got key lime pie (seemed homemade) and Tiramisu "like" cake (no Kahlua? Maybe) both good, for dessert. It's fine. Nothing we ever need to revisit but if we did we'd be ok. read more

Excellent. We are from Maryland, and have consumed our fair share of seafood, so I like to think we are experts in this genera of food lol& This place knows how to do it and do it right! We started with the Chumbo and WOW. One of the best soup dishes either of us have had. Oysters Rockefeller were also delish! For entrees we went with the fried grouper sandwich and clam steam pot with angel hair (beer and old bay of course) and I genuinely can't think of a way to improve either dish. When I crave seafood, this is the exact place I want to be. So glad we came here and we will most certainly be back! The atmosphere is also a 10/10. Whenever we're in North Myrtle Beach, we HAVE to come here at least once. The seafood is simply INCREDIBLE! The Golfer's Special is a seafood pasta and we can't find anything like it anywhere. Know that it's small and there is usually a wait, but the food and the atmosphere worth it! read more

Absolutely love the food we come here all the time. We are local owners of condos so we know the area. Every time we come down this is our first stop. Service is always amazing. THE BEST STAFF!!! So please invest in fixing the place up. The chairs are damaged with the stuffing coming out. The bathroom is pee rotting. Puffed up cabinets from pee all over them. Friend suggested we come here for a raw bar or scallop experience. They had oysters on the half or full I could get and so I bought every appetizer they had to see what they could do. When we walked in there was some crusty lady saying how she hates kids. Even after we ordered drinks we were shuffled to a behind the bar waiting area. The crusty ass lady who I hope dies a painful death left to pee and then was unsatisfied because the restaurant has no normal bathrooms. 100% you can go to a Calabash seafood restaurant from any kind and have a better experience. read more

It's taken us a long time to visit Rockefellers and I'm so thankful that we did! Rockefellers is located right off of highway 17 in North Myrtle Beach and has its own parking lot. It looks small and cozy from the outside and feels like a local beach bar on the inside. I really like the boat seats as their bar stools! Rockefellers has been in business for the past 20+ years and once you experience it, you'll know why. The service is excellent, the oysters are fresh, and the beer is cold. I highly recommend stopping by for happy hour for some good prices on beer and seafood. Try to stop in earlier than the typical dinner rush because it does get busy but the staff will take care of you! read more

I have been coming for years and it has been good and a beach tradition! However this week, the food was overcooked/too long in frier, burnt fries, flat soda, ect.... . But the bigger issue is that the facility is GROSS. Splatters all over the windows, a broken lobster tank, in the entry, duct tape on seats, slippery floors, displays are falling apart, speakers everywhere but no music playing, not a festive vibe, chipped goofy mermaid Art and generally dumb. This was authentic and cool 10 years ago. Now it is a dump, cliché, gross, and the food isn't great. Not even nice enough to call a dive bar. Not going back, 1 beach tradition died this week regrettably. Feels like the owner is milking it to retire or something. read more

Nothing bad to say about the service or the cesar salad, but I regretted ordering the shrimp scampi (image taken after i stirred it, the plating was nice when i got it). Not much of any flavor, the sauce was abit watery and there was a small amount of cheese that accumulated in chunks haha all it needs is a thicker sauce and more minced garlic if it wasn't in there already. I haven't written a review a long time. This place deserves my full attention as I write this. I love local spots and cool people, sometimes the parking isn't so good or the seating. The wait was 30 mins and we decided to hit the bar. That was the best decision. We witness one of the most talented bartender in Mike. Let me explain, he took orders, made drinks, made food (steamed pots,, pasta, etc)), took checks, and in his spare time made small talk. The food was great, the service was great. The only complaint I have is that I got SUPER FULL!!! I told Mike that he looks fluid doing his job. He said, "This is nothing!!", Great response. The atmosphere was of a beachy dive bar. I had the fried scallops which were lightly battered. Very good. Two other people got a seafood pot which included shrimp, oysters, clams, snow crab, potatoes, kielbasa, corn and mussels. Very generous for $59. I would definitely go there again. read more

We found this place online 2 days ago and decided to stop by today. FYI, the parking lot is tiny so if you can walk that would probably be best. The food here is really good! I got the beef tips and my family got the lobster pot, the shrimp and grits, fish and chips, and a shrimp and scallops steam pot. Everything was so good! The service was great as well. One of my favorite eats in NMB! This place gets PACKED, so I suggest going early or late. If you go during peak dinner hours you won't even be able to find a parking spot! Service is typically great. I always get steamed oysters, yum! Good oyster shooter here. Cheap beer. Great happy hour options- love the buffalo shrimp! The clam pasta is also one of my favs. One time I was here and had mussels that were bad- some of them hadn't opened and the ones that were open tasted old. Food has to be incredibly bad for me to send it back, this is one of the only times I can think of doing it in my life.
