The seafood is always super fresh and the fried cheese curds and hush puppies are the best I've had in the south! We tried some other fried food such as the wings and fried snapper bites and they were great too! It actually located on the oceanfront of the Spanish galleon resort!

This place was a last minute choice for dinner and I was pretty disappointed. First off, all of the servers were clearly confused because we constantly saw food taken to the wrong tables and even our food was delivered to another table first. I can let it slide once or twice, but everyone? My food was also quite cold and not good. I got a flatbread which didn't even come with everything on it that the menu listed. My friend got a burger which she claimed was fine and my sister ordered a fish sandwich which she said wasn't great either. I don't normally complain about service or give a bad review on that alone, but combined with the food, our whole experience was not good. I hope this place can be better in the future since it is in a prime location with a nice view.

Love trying local places. Harolds on the Ocean or HOTO'S per the locals, is one of those wonderful hidden gems. The radio station is next door 94.9 which is kinda cool but they also has live music outside and they were great. Lots of things to walk to and explore after a great meal. The grouper sandwich blackened was absolutely wonderful. A generous portion of gouper on a toasted bun with lettuce tomato and onion was light but filling. Perectly cooked fish that was very flavorful. Even the fries were thin and crispy and delicious. My husband proclaimed the char grilled burger a delight and he was stuffed. The beer was cold it wasn't horribly crowded and they had plenty of outdoor seating so you could people watch and enjoy the music. I'm sorry, i didnt catch our servers name but she was delightful and very efficient. If you want a taste of the local flavor and feel of Cherry Grove stop in at HOTOs. Its a local gem.

We stopped by Platt's Seafood during our Myrtle Beach vacation and it was outstanding!…read more We ordered the steamed crab legs and steamed shrimp, and both were absolutely delicious. The crab legs were perfectly cooked, easy to crack, and packed with sweet flavor. The shrimp were fresh, seasoned just right, and cooked perfectly. Everything was hot, fresh, and ready when promised. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their seafood. After a day at the beach, it was the perfect meal to bring back and enjoy with family. If you're in the Myrtle Beach area and looking for great seafood, Platt's Seafood is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Shore Drive!

Everything was fresh and seasoned just right. The spot was fried perfectly--crispy on the outside, still tender inside. The shrimp were juicy with a good flavor, and the clams were on point too. And listen... those honey butter hush puppies? Yeah, they don't miss. Sweet, soft, and just overall too good. It's one of those spots you can count on every time. Quick, good food, solid portions, and always worth it. Definitely my go-to when I'm in North Myrtle Beach.

We stopped at Captain George's Seafood Restaurant and it ended up being a great experience…read more It's about $50 for an all-you-can-eat buffet, which I'm usually hesitant about because I don't always eat enough to make it worth it--but this is a seafood buffet with crab legs (my favorite), so we decided to go for it. And it did not disappoint. The crab legs were the highlight--always stocked, served warm, and cooked really well. I tried a few other items that were just okay, nothing super standout, but for a buffet the quality of the crab legs alone made it worth it. We waited about 20 minutes in line to be seated, which wasn't bad, but just a heads up--there wasn't really anywhere to sit while waiting, so that could be a bit tough for anyone who needs accommodations. The desserts were also pretty good, and the place itself is huge. I loved the design details--everything has a nautical/boat theme, even the buffet stations and tables, which made it feel unique compared to other buffets. Service was great. We just had water, but staff constantly came around refilling drinks, clearing plates, and taking away crab leg shells, which made the whole experience smooth. Overall, we left full and very happy--definitely worth it if you're a crab leg fan!

Really really big place. I couldn't even guess how many people fit in this restaurant…read more The countertop loaded with every kind of seafood prepared every possible way is 40 feet long. And that doesn't include the desert counter. Plus unlimited crab legs. Food is pretty average but unlimited. Beverages are the same. It's a fun environment with the whole family.
