I stopped for a quick coffee and a smoothie, no food involved. They took about 10-15 mins to prepare my coffee and forgot my smoothie, I had to ask and then they quickly made it abs apologized (gave me a cookie), overall the service there seemed to be very slow as I stayed there for a little over 30 mins waiting and watched peoples order, if you are on a rush don't go there but if you don't care about waiting, it seems like a decent spot

Portions are very small. I took the coco's burrito with a "special marinated" tofu, it was just Some basic scrambled tofu. The burrito was the size of my hand, and my hands are very small, tiny. It was about 11$ and I left this place hungry, and that's not something you look for in a restaurant right ? Not a great service. Other clients were complaining. The highlight of this place is the washroom, cute paintings but to get there you have to go through the kitchen and it looks messy Would not go back and would not recommend, to anyone I like at least.

On a Monday morning, we came here for breakfast before heading over to Banff. After perusing the menu, we got a cappuccino, a latte and a breakfast bagel. Order food at the counter and take a seat. Pick up the food when they call your name. It was pretty crowded when we came and had to wait for a few minutes before finding a table and chair to settle. There was wait time for the food as well, but it was all worth it. The drinks, both the cappuccino and the latte were really good. The breakfast bagel had cream cheese on one side, eggs, avocados, and a side of potatoes. Delicious! Highly recommend when you are in Jasper!

During a visit on the Easter long weekend to Jasper, I made a stop to see my friend Conie who is a local in Jasper. I was on my way out for breakfast and I asked her where she recommended. Without missing a beat, she told me to hit Coco's Cafe. Its never a bad idea to eat where the locals go. :) When we walked in, it was bustling a bit with all the tourist activity on the long weekend. On the walls, there was artwork posted by Melissa Woodcock. I posted some of it in the photos section for Coco's Cafe. Her art is stunning and it definately adds the ambiance there. As I checked in with my iphone app, I received a check-in offer of 10 percent off an expresso based drink. Bonus! I am not a vegetarian and I luckily do not have food sensitivies, but I can appreciate that these are very serious issues to many. On the walls in clear view, Coco`s shows its support of vegans, vegetarians and it also offers gluten-free items and variations for those who have sensitivies around these menu choices. Its nice to see that kind of responsibilitiy in a local business! Sheila and I ordered breakfast, and the servings are quite large. Sheila ordered the oatmeal cinnamon Waffle, and I ordered the skillet-opulus with multi-grain toast. Sheila was a happy camper, doing very little talking during her waffle, other than to roll her eyes in delight every once in awhile. The Skillet-opulus was delicious. It was scrambled eggs with veggies, olives and feta cheese. The multi grain toast was definately home made bread. Everything was full of flavor and delcious! I am coming back up to Jasper in June with my mom. Coco`s will definately be a breakfast stop! See you in June, Coco`s!

Not a bad little cafe. We stopped in for a quick bite during a 3 hour stopover from the train. I has a nice and creamy cappuccino and a grilled tuna sandwich with a side of quinoa/citrus salad. My son had a burrito bowl. The sandwich was tasty but no wow factor but the salad was nice and the fresh blueberries were a nice surprise. The burrito bowl was found to be a bit lacking (meh). Generally it was nice but not great. Prices and portions were quite good nevertheless.

We ordered the mushroom toast, the pork belly, and the dan dan noodles. The noodles were far and away the best item, absolutely delicious! The pork belly was quite good as well. The mushroom toast wasn't bad, but we wished the mushrooms were a bit more pureed, the chunks of mushroom were a bit difficult to eat. Overall hugely recommended!

He finished it, so I can only surmise it was good. Cheesecake with berries..........................................??? This is not on the online menu so I can't really say exactly what it was. It was normal cheesecake that was flamed on top. It was definitely the most memorable dish. Unfortunately, it was the worst dish of our trip. All I can say is, it reminded me too much of my own baking (which I normally burn), except that it takes much more talent to burn the top than the bottom. My husband tried to eat the black char and I told him if he did, then he would need to schedule himself for a colonoscopy, because he'll be walking away with colon cancer if he ate it. First, more positives: I like the vibe of the bistro - there was a bar at the front and someone was just hanging out on their laptop. It wasn't too busy or crowded. I liked that they had some goods to browse through while waiting for the rest of the party to arrive. The bathroom was also very clean. I liked the overall aesthetic - modern cabin chic. The menu has the name of the chef. So I was kind of hoping for an experience similar to one I had in Colorado at a small sushi restaurant where there is no menu, and the chef creates an experience for you, and you treasure every single bite. I didn't quite get that here unfortunately. And I was on a diet (still am) and with people who don't prefer certain foods, so maybe there would be other things that I would try. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely come back and try out other things. So that's why my rating is a 4/5 and the end of most of my review. If you want to hear me complain, continue reading. Else, thanks for reading this far! So again, I'm going on my soap box: This was the second restaurant that told us that the meals were great for sharing and they recommend it, you know, family style? Yeah, no. While some of the dishes were EASIER to share than at the Juniper, they were not great for sharing. In my last review, I had thought maybe it's because there are more Asian tourists who like to family-style every meal. Or maybe this is the new trendy thing. Maybe it's a Canadian thing. Here's a new hypothesis: maybe so many of these dishes are so overpriced and everyone wants to try a little bit of everything, so they don't have to feel shame when they start sharing these small plates with each other, the servers give them "permission" to family style. The idea of tapas is great - but these are fancy dishes that don't have much substance to them and it's really hard to split some things 6 ways. At least there were serving ware this time. Finally, this is a special tid-bit to whoever reads this long review: Avoid sitting near the hanging exit sign if you are more than 6 feet tall. My brother-in-law sat under the sign and when he stood up, he knocked his head very strongly against the sign. Not good for safety. Functionality over aesthetics is what I prefer. Plus, who wants to sit UNDER something that has the potential to fall anyway? That never happens you say? Yeah, it happened to my mom. Different day, different story.

I had taken the train and we stopped in Jasper for a little bit and I was exploring Parking: I know I always talk about parking but it wasn't really paying attention this time. I'm pretty sure there was some street parking. I'm not sure if there's any Lots around I walked from the Train Decor: This place was very nice. Kind of what you would expect to find in a restaurant in a ski town in the Rockies. Lots of dark wood, clean, Cottage chic decor. You can tell this is a nice place There were a lot of four top tables. Somewhere around somewhere Square so you push them together. And a nice big bar with lots of seating. Oh and the Highlight was a giant fireplace against the far wall. Very cozy. Food: I stopped in to grab something I could eat on the train. I decided to go for one of the salads because it just sounded so good. I got the Autumn Ridge Salad -kale, maple butternut squash, quinoa, feta, apple, shallot vinaigrette. I added some lemon garlic shrimp as a protein. This was delicious. And if I'm ever in Jasper again, and I hope to be, definitely getting this As a side note they're also known for their whiskey and there were a few Couples from the train that were there in the restaurant doing whiskey tasting. These are people from other countries that knew that when you stopped in Jasper you had to go here and do their whiskey flights. So go there for that as well! Everyone I spoke to there was very nice. I wish I would have gotten the name of the person that helped me. She was very nice
