My sister and I had a last minute truck for thanksgiving to see family out of state, and we didn't want our huskies to be stuck in the hotel for 5 days so our friend told us about Coddled Critters, so we checked them out; i was very scared and worried dropping off my kids. But after seeing the reviews and talking to the staff they assured me that they would be well taken care of and that i could watch them on camera. The staff were amazing, they took great care of our huskies and I was able to call everyday and get an update on them everyday, and sometimes a few times a day. I really appreciate the time and dedication they gave to our huskies. Thank you all. Also, our puppies got the ultimate bath and they came home smelling and looking great. Was really happy and excited to see they had a good time. The only thing i didn't like was that we can't really see them on camera that much since there is only one camera and not more, I hope in the future they add more cameras, I'd even donate money for them to add more cameras so we can see our kids. Thank you all for everything you guys do for us and our kids. We appreciate you all. Thank you

Home away from home! Miles absolutely loves Coddled Critters. He's stayed at many places throughout Utah, Wyoming and California. This is by far his favorite place to vacation. We love the report cards, pictures and communication. Wouldn't leave our baby anywhere else!

    Excited to go to daycare!

Coddled Critters has been a saving grace for my dog and our family. After having a terrible experience at another local dog park, Coddled Critters welcomed our dog in with open arms. As I work in the travel industry, Sammie stays the night more than most, but he is always soooo excited when we get in the car to head that way, that he can hardly contain himself. Their kindness and generosity allows me to confidently know that he is in good and safe hands. To all the naysayers about CC, Coddled Critters doesn't have kennel cough going around, I know, Bc my dog stays there every few days. Also, dogs get dirty when around other dogs. Do you not give your dog a bath when he gets home?!? --Nasty.

I was so grateful they were available so I could have peace of mind leaving them. When we dropped them off we were given a tour and everything was explained to us how they'd be handled while we were away! Each day I texted for info or a photo of them and they were always quick to reply and very helpful! This really gave me a lot of confidence they were safe and enjoying their space! The facility is clean and well organized! I appreciate that the dogs are separated by size. Neither Roxy or Jake seemed stressed or bug eyed exhausted when I came to pick them up! They were mellow and were clean and their things were gathered for us to head home from the airport! When I've picked them up from some other places, my Roxy would seem disoriented and overwhelmed! So I was beyond grateful she appeared relaxed! We will be sure to use this location for all boarding needs in the future. Even though it's far from us, it was nice to be able to trust our babies were well taken care of!

And most of all - my puppy comes home exhausted after playing with his friends all day! Thank you Backyard Dog Care for always taking great care of my puppy.

A huge added bonus for boarding which has made our lives so much easier with a busy travel year is their after hours pickup/drop off service. It's so simple, they send you a text with a code to the door to drop off and pick up your dog and that's all you need to know! We love it and we know Stella loves her Jennie as well!

Additionally after a camp trip I tried their groomers. They were great. My dogs didn't have any anxiety going there. I really liked that they gave us a time with an expected pickup. Other places have you drop off your dog early in the morning and you don't get them back till late afternoon. My dogs looked so handsome when we picked them up. Also I just read they do vaccinations there so I will be checking into that more next year. The owners and staff were wonderful with our dogs and I highly recommend them

The online scheduling was convenient, but the website was difficult to navigate and had several features that didn't work properly. The front desk employee was extremely friendly and helpful when I called about signing up for the free 14-day trial. Our first visit was okay, but the baths were disappointing. The dogs still had dirt on their coats, my hands became dirty after petting them, and I had to rewash parts of them at home. I chose not to complain because I wanted to give the facility another chance. At the second visit, our dogs were noticeably more reluctant to enter the building. Staff also informed us that dogs may share kennels, which concerned me even if they're from the same household. When we picked them up, one of my German Shepherds, Violet, had diarrhea, feces on her tail and legs, and fresh abrasions and swelling on her nose that were not present before drop-off. I was never informed during the appointment that she had become sick. I had to clean and bathe her again after getting home. My partner called to express our concerns, and the front desk employee was again kind, apologetic, and said he would pass everything to a supervisor. Unfortunately, my conversation with the supervisor was the complete opposite. Rather than showing empathy, she immediately became defensive, insisted Violet's nose injury existed before the appointment, implied we were providing inaccurate information, and repeatedly focused on my "tone" instead of addressing our concerns. At no point did she apologize or acknowledge how upsetting it was to pick up an injured dog. We decided to cancel the membership during the advertised free trial. We were told it couldn't be canceled until after we were charged and then we'd have to request a refund, which made little sense for a trial period. We were also required to repay the 40% grooming discount that came with the membership. While I expected that part, it was frustrating considering we were canceling because of our experience. I do want to recognize the groomer who groomed our two poodles. She did an excellent job, and I happily tipped her 20%. I also want to commend the front desk employee for being consistently kind and professional. Ultimately, it wasn't the grooming itself that lost our business--it was the lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism from management when concerns were raised. If our concerns had simply been acknowledged and addressed with compassion, we likely would have remained customers. Instead, we'll be taking our dogs elsewhere.

I immediately texted Merry Pets, and got a call back a couple of minutes later. One of their canine professionals was not too far from my house, and went to assess the situation. He searched the nearby streets and located my dog and returned her to my house and ensured she was secure. Merry Pets ensured the safety and well being of my dog. I started noticing he would growl when I touched him, which was very out of character. At first, I didn't think much of it, but as it worsened, I examined him more closely and was shocked to discover scabbed areas under both of his front legs, resembling severe rugburn. After another hike, I checked him immediately upon return and found his front legs raw and bleeding in multiple spots, with his fur matted in tight knots. I took him to urgent care, and the veterinarian confirmed the wounds were fresh trauma. My dog is 8 years old and very active, but because he's never been off leash before, I had specifically requested that he be kept leashed on hikes. The other dogs were off-leash, and I worry that while trying to keep up with the group, the handler, Caitlin, may have dragged him when he couldn't keep pace. I reached out to Mary for an explanation but received no clear response or indication of concern for my dog's condition. I asked Mary if she would cover the vet bill. Instead, she said she wanted to speak directly with my vet. When I brought that request to my vet, they informed me that she did not have a right to access my pet's medical information due to HIPAA laws. Despite everything, I was kind enough to let the situation go--but I refused to pay the bill for the hike where my dog was injured. Now Mary is charging my account anyway. A good business owner would have shown concern and at the very least offered an apology. Instead, she has shown no empathy and no accountability. This experience was incredibly distressing. I cannot recommend Merrypets based on what happened and how poorly it was handled. My dog has had no more injuries since he stopped going out with Merry Pets. He's happy again and no longer growls at me.

I was told the training was all play and relationship based. I was concerned when I picked my dog up from the two week board and train because he kept trying to run away from the training room and hide behind my legs during turnover. Levi shocked him at such a high level that he cried multiple times when demonstrating commands (he told me that he was at a level 9 on a higher voltage collar than he originally started with because the dog is "stubborn" and "lazy."). I think dogs should always love training or something is being done wrong. Although I am not opposed to e collars in principle, I believe it was overused due to a lack of skill in really understanding this dog. When my dog came home I switched entirely to positive reinforcement because of what I had seen. At first my dog flinched when I gave him commands. He winced and turned on his side. He seemed afraid but like he did not know what to do to avoid punishment. I found an injury on his neck in the area the e-collar had been used. He is now working willingly and happily for me. There is never any "stubbornness" or "laziness." He loves training time. The program I purchased came with lifetime support if I returned for a follow up appointment, which of course I didn't do, because I could not fathom making my dog go back to the place of his mistreatment, and why would I want any more "advice" from abusive psuedo-trainers anyway? I did contact Levi about these concerns and he took zero accountability--which means he will do the same thing to more dogs.
