As you can see, I've been eating my omelette

I don't understand where my review went. We have been going to this café for a number of years. So I'll start all over. I love their coffee, its Peet's and that's what I have at home. My husband and I both had chili Verde omelettes and we ate all of the omelette. I had fruit and we split it and he had hashbrowns and we split that. The hashbrowns were just OK. He got an English muffin and I got a blueberry muffin and we took them home. The staff is extremely friendly, no matter who you have.

This was my first time visiting Cody's Cafe. We were greeted politely and seated quickly, and a very kind gentleman brought us coffee, which started things off on a good start. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. I ordered a burrito, but when it arrived, it was so soggy at the bottom that I couldn't even hold it--it was falling apart in my hands. I tried cutting it, but the tortilla was so wet that it just kept disintegrating, making a complete mess. I let the waitress know about the issue, but she didn't seem to care at all. Her only response was, "It's because of the salsa," and then she just walked away. No apology, no offer to fix it--nothing. I've honestly never had a burrito that soggy before. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for, and I don't think I'll be coming back.

SUCH A FLOP !!! Do not even consider coming here !! Super bad service, and disgusting food. We had to go Inside and ask for our order to be taken. The waitress didn't even ask if we wanted drinks. And when she did take our order she was so rude about it. There was a piece of lettuce in the creamer we got. My potatoes were RAW and flavorless. Praying I don't get food poisoning from the chorizo.

I hadn't been to Cody's in a minute (years), but it was close and I was hungry. I ordered the Cobb Salad to go with no tomatoes. The girl on the phone was very nice and the employees in-person were friendly. I was asked which dressing I would like and chose balsamic. When I opened the box at home, I noticed most of the bacon was chewy/fatty pieces. The chicken was ok (a bit chewy) and the lettuce as well. This salad was not worth $16+ in my opinion, but it did fill me up and good to know for the future. I also didn't receive any utensils or napkin (realized when I got home) and my tip in the tip jar was not acknowledged.

Classic comfort food in a comfortable, homey atmosphere. Alright for families and large groups. You can find this cafe at the Turnpike Shopping Center along Hollister Avenue. Parking is easy and breezy. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating throughout, I never had to wait long for a table. Their patio is pet-friendly. They serve all your favorite breakfast and lunch dishes: french toast, omelettes, waffles, pancakes, benedicts, scrambles, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and so much more. Prices are reasonable for the portions served. Some of the things I've ordered before: Short Stack: Two very large pancakes. It seems like someone left them on the griddle for a little too long, the top was a bit charred and it had a burnt taste to it. Wasn't too fluffy. The accompanying scrambled eggs and patty sausage were just ok. Fish and Chips: Impressively fried and flakey fish, with a nice golden color. Fries were also crispy. Served with a side of coleslaw. Homemade Pot Roast: Tender meat cooked in red wine. Decent. They used to be open during the evenings in the past, but dining after 5:00 PM is now limited to private parties and events. A bit of a bummer since their dinner menu is great. But brunch is good enough!

Standard average place for breakfast and lunch. The prices are reasonable, on average breakfast will cost you $16. Very nice staff and waiters, attentive, not intrusive, polite. The breakfasts are really tasty, but what is different from other places is the muffins. The muffins are really tasty with fresh juicy berries.

As a dining experience, The Creekside left it all on the table. Where to begin? The charming rustic ambiance, the peerless waitstaff, or perhaps the eclectic mix of pop-rock country music swinging its intoxicating tunes throughout the environment. The appetizers of street corn (WARNING: comes on the cob, not for the faint of heart) and Mississippi caviar, with its subtle cilantro infused flavors -- wet the appetite just in time for the main course. The meat plate, which I expected to be a paltry selection of small cuts, was a gargantuan titan of American smoked meats. The presentation and the crisp crunch of the crackling French fries complimented the small town feel of the triumph that is the Creekside. All in all, 5 stars -- would MEAT again.

Also I believe theres a no dog policy, I'm not sure why as you sit at picnic tables out side, also some inside seating. This is an old camp/cafe/stage coach stop built in 1868 or so, a days ride back then. The folks here have this dialed in the service. The menu is quote interesting, old spin on american favorites and yet something for most everyone. I went with the Bison Flank steak, medium I asked for a side of cole slaw. There was nothing exceptionally flavorful. In fact it was disappointing. The Bison was probably beef, flank is generally not a tender cut thats why its thinly cut and flash cooked The slaw as bland as it comes. I tried the fries, pass the ketchup please. The iced tea was very good, strong and tasted fresh. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal and the conversation about our meal choice lead to sampling. You order at the counter and the food is brought over to your table. The service was friendly, though it could have been better--we had to get our own water, cutlery, and napkins and nobody came to check on us throughout the meal. Maybe that was because we came right at opening on the weekend. Food-wise, some dishes were better than others. The smoked brisket banh mi was disappointing, mainly because the brisket was chewy. The burrata-tomato salad with added chicken breast was good and felt fresh and satisfying. The chicken salad sandwich was okay, but the bread was too hard, which made it less enjoyable. On the positive side, my son really enjoyed the kids' grilled cheese sandwich with fries. Overall, The Daisy has a lovely atmosphere, and a great dog-friendly patio, but the food was a bit hit-or-miss during our visit.

Service: While we waited in line outside, Lalo, walked up to all of us offering menus for those of us that didn't have any yet. He was very friendly, energetic and joyful with all of those around. We were able to ordered and be seated pretty quickly, within 10 minutes of entering the line. I think what's unique about their ordering and seating model is that they have you order your food at the register, pay, then take a seat where you like. In my perspective, this allows for a smoother in and out dining experience as you don't have to wait for a server and your bill. Environment: The inside of the restaurant provides a store like experience and as you wait in line you can shop around for custom merch. The outside of this restaurant provides great seating with views of the beach. Food: Our plates were delicious! We ordered some special plates they were offering that weekend. I don't recall the exact names, but my wife ordered a sort of lobster cake plate, and I ordered a type of huevo rancheros. We would definitely return here again!
