    Breakfast Menu 1 of 1 - March 2019 - VN

Thanks to Yelp and our community's pics and reviews, I was easily drawn to this utopia off the beaten path. I'm always in search for less touristy, off-the-beach locales because I like rolling with the natives! ATMOSPHERE: Located on a side street off of crazy Calle Morelos (the road that you play human Frogger on while crossing), sits a diamond in the rough. A tranquil, open-air space with poolside seating was such a surprise. The place was empty on this particular morning, so I had it practically all to myself. My window seat looked out onto the side street which was great for people watching, all while a light breeze kept me cool from the rising morning heat. I think the restaurant is attached to or affiliated with a neighboring hotel which is where the poolside seating came into play. BREAKFAST MENU: Mix of Mexican/American fare including hotcakes, crepes, eggs, chilaquiles, steak. FOOD: Chilaquiles - $7.40 USD Though I was "chilaquiled out" by this point as it was towards the end of my vacay, I had to try this. The portion of chicken and chips were very generous with the shreds of chicken in red sauce being the most flavorful I've had yet. Thinly shaved potatoes made for a crunchy hash brown side along with fresh refried beans. And yes, I had to have a crowning of eggs to make it a breakfast dish. Delish! SERVICE: I was greeted and seated promptly and checked on throughout. Service was very attentive. TIP: Pay in pesos or USD. OVERALL: Very good breakfast (the crepes looked amazing) and I loved the vibe. Can't wait to bring my spouse next year for breakfast and maybe dinner!

Shrimp enchiladas, sirloin burger, strawberry and mango daiquiri.

Extensive menu, impeccable service, tasty daiquiris made for a pleasant lunch when visiting PV! I would definitely come again!

We ate here for ilunch, dinner and a breakfast. 13.50 US dollars for breakfast!!! Crazy 2 people!! Excellent food, service and a/c. Honestly waiters and staff were so nice and the prices I thought were so reasonable for quality and quantity. We will visit again and eat here often . It is that good!!. Flank steak, watermelon and argula salad, omelets, fruit platters, salsa, guacamole, everything was most excellent. Go here!!!

Stayed here at the Hotel and ate at this place at least once a day. Great food, great daiquiri. if you get a chance stop there they have a baked potato that I STILL have a taste for weeks later.

This place was a good find. We were walking down the street and happened to find this. What a wonderful surprise. The salsa was so good. We had the popcorn shrimp. The sauce was amazing. But the ribeye steak was unbelievable. The service was awesome. Can not say anything bad about this experience.

Honestly, this place is a must visit. Coexist Bistro is a fun, hidden world set in the heart of Malecon, Puerto Vallarta. Surrounded by a cute, 1950s boutique Hotel Rio, and surrounding a tasteful infinity pool-like tropical interior; this is a really worthwhile culinary & relaxing experience. Highly recommend. And in truth, I only stumbled across Coexist searching for a peaceful, elevated restaurant away from the tourist spots & gimmicks.

By far the best chilaquiles in Vallarta. Believe me, I've had them all over town. Coffee and crepes are delicious as well. The restaurant surrounds Hotel Rio's Pool which would be awkward if anyone actually swam in it. The setting is really lovely. You can also dine inside with air conditioning but I prefer the courtyard. Wonderful service - they even bring out a purse tree so you don't have to put your bag on the ground.

We had to kill time becaue check in at the hotel was at 3 so we drank up, and had snacks. We had beer, micheladas the carpaccio de calabacita as well as a couple of daiquiries which by the way they were buy one get one. We had a relaxed and good two hours there, loved the background music since it was not too loud and my hubby and I were able to hold a good conversation without yelling.

We had breakfast at this clean and friendly restaurant. The dining area is split between inside seating with air conditioning or outside near a small swimming pool (the restaurant is attached to a hotel). The food was good - I enjoyed my strawberry crepes and my wife liked her eggs. Coffee was also good. Service was friendly and attentive and prices were reasonable

This cafe has two distinct sections-- one section is their indoor bistro, which has TVs and plays major games (even NFL) when they're on, and the other is their outdoor cafe, which is in the courtyard of the Hotel Rio. Same menu, but there are 2 entrances. I only had chips, beer, and a flan, but the service was friendly, and it was a good spot to pass the time and watch football while waiting for the rain to subside.

Came here for breakfast today. They have a variety on the menu for breakfast. Had the sampler and it was delicious. Highly recommended when you are in Puerto Vallarta! Staff was very courteous and restaurant is very very clean.

Very American in ambience, but the food is incredible. The breakfast crepes and the sweet crepes were incredible. So were the hash browns.

I honestly could have ordered two. The house-made ricotta was creamy, the tomatoes were fresh and sweet, and the aged balsamic brought everything together perfectly. For my main, I had the Asian noodle salad with grilled shrimp. It was refreshing, light, and full of flavor without feeling heavy. The grapefruit added a bright citrus note, and while I initially thought the candied pecans would be an odd pairing, they worked surprisingly well. My only suggestion would be to remove the shrimp tails to make the dish a little easier to enjoy. I finished with the mango-strawberry almond parfait, which was the perfect ending to the meal. It was light, refreshing, and not overly sweet, making it a great dessert after two flavorful courses. The service throughout the meal was warm and welcoming. I'm still working on my Spanish, and everyone was patient and encouraging, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

The room on the second floor was air-conditioned -- a godsend in June's heat -- and made the whole experience far more comfortable. The setting feels casual but thoughtfully executed, with attentive service that never felt intrusive. Drinks: the Tamarind Margarita is a must-order. Tangy, balanced, and truly memorable -- one of the best cocktails we tried during our stay. Food: outstanding. The Tuna Chicharrón taco was superb -- honestly the best taco we had in two days in PV. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The Shrimp Ceviche tostadas were equally excellent: fresh, bright, and well composed. Service: Jesús was a standout. Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable -- he made solid recommendations and kept the evening running smoothly. If you're nearby, do not miss this spot. Great food, fantastic cocktails, and comfortable indoor seating with AC make Tuna Azul an easy top pick in Puerto Vallarta.

One of their most iconic dishes was El Kraken, a whole small octopus, grilled and served with potatoes and tzatziki. From the taco menu, the Tres con Todo were three "tuna al pastor" tacos made of cubes of tuna with pineapple, sprouts, radish, and creamy avocado on two fried tacos--creative, but nothing too outstanding flavorwise. We continued with the Pal'Mito salad, made of hearts of palm, sundried tomatoes, avocado, spinach, bacon, and seared tuna. The Churrasco de Salmon was a perfectly tender salmon filet topped with a cream sauce and served with plantain puree and grilled corn on the cob. Finally, the Pesca del Dia was a fillet of snapper topped with mussels in pesto sauce and served over plantain puree--super tasty, though the pesto definitely overwhelmed any other flavors in this dish. Overall, the food here was all delicious and beautifully plated. The flavors were bold, the prices reasonable, and the service was super friendly too!
