    Octopus
    Alice X.

A friend told us to come here for their oysters, sadly on the day we went, there were no oysters. But that's okay, after going through the Yelp pictures and reviews, fellow yelpers highly recommends their el kraken (the octopus)! It turned out to be the highlight of our meal! It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Not overcooked at all. It was delicious! Also their bone marrow appetizer was pretty tasty as well. Their ceviche was just ok. I've had better ceviches in Mexico. There were too much veggies in it in my opinions. If you are in the area, it is worth checking out! Come for their octopus!

2nd time around on this trip. Last week Taquitos tropical w jicama tortillas - was novel and not overfly fried filling. On my return 2nd trip a week or so later-,the Sirenitos has overpowering batter - ruined the pulpo tacos. Maybe Panko breading better suited to delicate pulpo. Also Ordered the Bananeros. Tacos. Both 2 sets of 3sums. The 2nd set was uninteresting. Brought back as a to go box. The " 3rd time around is never as good as the first time". First trip in March had the bone marrow and Sirenitos and it was delicate less battering and the bone marrow well cooked. The service is consistent - not obtrusive. The bartender eye candy.

Found this restaurant while going to another place. So glad we stopped in this nice seafood restaurant. The place offers inside and outside dining. We opted for inside and the A/C. Our servers were very nice and offered great food suggestions. After ordering some beers for the table we ordered the fish of the day, shrimp tacos, and grilled shrimp. My wife and I split the robalo which was that days fish. The order had four good size fillets. We switched the normal sides with the salmon dish. It was a vodka cream sauce, mashed plantains, and grilled corn. All of these were fantastic. The grilled shrimp was good and our friend loved the shrimp tacos. Great dinner experience.

I keep coming back here, waiters are so nice and they even remembered me from 3 months ago, food is well presented and delicious, and the vibe is so good. The location is just perfect. I highly recommend the salmon, tuna is good if you like it, ribeye can be better.

This restaurant is still my favorite in town. came back to PV after two years and their menus has not changed and quality remain high. I came on the weekend for their paella special. i tried their squid ink paella this time. the taste is the same as the regular one, with same portion and same seafood inside, it would be just your preference which one you want to pick. The whole octopus appetizer is a must have, it's a whole octopus really big portion, not sure why it is a appetizer, it's a huge portion can be main for one person. the bone marrow is really flavorful , it makes a good addition to add it to the any other dishes to make your own taco too. make sure you order their drinks, the espresso martini is the best .

Loved this little place, walked by it everyday and it was always busy. We decided to stop by the night before we flew out. The portions were huge and at a great price. Place is dimly lit which gives it a romantic feeling.

A trendy little spot with good drinks, food, and ambiance. And great lighting! They have an inventive cocktail menu and their starters are where it's at. I highly recommend the tuna tacos al pastor and their oysters & spritzer deal.

Pal'Mar quickly became one of our favorite spots during our trip to Puerto Vallarta. The craft cocktails were not only beautifully presented but also absolutely delicious. My husband said it was hands down one of the best margaritas he's ever had. The service was fantastic - friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Whether you're in the mood for a full dinner or just some small bites and drinks, it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy. We loved it so much, we went back a second time and brought friends along!

Ribs and fries, my favorite of the night, delicious!

Palmar is a pretty restaurant and bar located in the bustling area of the Romantica zone, it has a new and beautiful indoor seating area and bar, and a outdoor seating on the sidewalk area that is awesome for people watching. We ordered two drinks, both were really good, and nice pours on each, the raicilla pineapple one was super fresh. Our server was very nice and attentive. We ordered rock shrimp, it was pretty good, breading not super crispy but shrimp were plentiful. We got the ribs and fries, both were delicious, ribs were meaty and sweet, the fries were perfect. We also got the fresh fish which was mahi with an ajillo chili glaze, it came grilled and a nice portion. This is a fun spot for drinks and snacks, or a nice night out for dinner!

Octopus appetizer was very large and tasty!

Service is good here, with the waitstaff being attentive and friendly. I tried their octopus appetizer and I was not disappointed. It was huge and easily can be a meal itself. In fact, I got it as my entree and it was almost too much of a good thing. It's served on a bed of onions and potatoes and comes with a jalapeño cream dip, which was very mild and honestly didn't add a lot of flavor. I also had a tiki drink but it was just ok. I'm generally not a sweet alcohol drinker but tiki drinks are known to be strong, so I wanted to try it , but it wasn't deceptively strong as tiki drinks normally go. Overall it was still a good meal and prices are reasonable (about $27 for the drink, octopus and tip).

Absolutely perfect dining experience. The thing I'm most impressed by is the attention to details all ranging from the service, to the cocktails and food. The cocktail specials of the month were fantastic and the oysters were delicious. The bone marrow, el kraken, and ceviche were phenomenal. Our server Barbie was incredible and made the experience that much more memorable. Her recommendations were on point and the table maintenance was that at the level of any Michelin starred restaurant. This was our first dinner in Puerto Vallarta since arriving from the airport and we are planning to dine again at least once or twice before heading back home. 10/10 will recommend.

Goat cheese salad with 1/2 a bottle of strawberry dressing.

A group of us went for dinner a friends bday. 2 from the group had gone for lunch the same day & highly recommended the goat cheese salad. In the picture it looked delicious yet when I took a forkful of greens the dressing was excessively dripping. It was unbearable to eat. During our time there I was taking pictures of both our tables. Barbie was our server. She became upset and frustrated that I was taking pics while she took an order. I didn't know there were rules what a customer can & cannot do. She was super pleasant when we arrived & attentive and continued throughout our time there except for me - I was given attitude & pretty much ignored. Towards the end I informed her about my salad she said "that's how the salad is". My friend said "I was here for lunch the dressing was perfect not excessive like tonight" Barbie just took the salad away brought me the check. My CC was blocked for using it one too many times that day & Barbie loudly said "no funds". I said "no there are funds but the CC blocks me" Barbie again said "no you have no funds" as I had informed her I was giving her another card -that had not been used that day nor was it blocked. Not sure if she was trying to embarrass me. I left the restaurant upset.

Great food, super chic decor, and a killer espresso martini to prepare for dancing the night away. Need I say more? Okay fine, the place is better than described. What makes it most appealing, besides the location next to gay street, is the European cuisine that breaks away from the great Mexicano places nearby. We ordered crab meat ravioli that was absolutely divine, followed by a large portion of seafood paella. I am not kidding when I say half the ocean was in the paella - they really go out of the way to ensure you're getting the good stuff. And the espresso martinis... well, let's just say they were so good that three of them still didn't feel like enough. Highly recommend to anyone for dinner.

However, as me and my friends (it was 4 of us) were leaving the restaurant, our waiter chased us down claiming we did not tip enough. Here's a note from my friend detailing more of what happened: "It was 150 pesos which is a little more than 10% of the total. In Mexico, 10% is completely customary, especially for tourist. Locals will give even less and typically leave only about 50 pesos. I don't know if he was expecting for us to give him more just because we're used to giving 15 or even 20% at a time but I always do at least 10. If it's one of the really nice restaurants where they take care of absolutely everything then I do get more than that but this was just a normal place And I did fold the bills because I clipped it into the checkbook, so there is a chance he thought it was just 50. But to flip out and say it's not enough that he deserves more or just to take it away is crazy in my opinion." We may return, but this really turned a perfect visit into a not so great one in the end. The 3/5 is for food and service, would've been 5/5 had we not been stopped as we were leaving for not "tipping enough".
