Cheap, good eats. Indoor seating with an open-air feel. I got there shortly before a mariachi band playing right outside, but to the diners, was finishing up. I got the fish ceviche tostada, a grilled fish and a shrimp taco and flan. There were different hot sauces on the table. It was all fresh and delicious. The server was attentive.
Whewww the food was absolutely amazing! We did a nightime foodie tour while visiting in Puerto Vallarta, it was a good decision. We walked around abit before startin the tour, the place is really lovely and clean. I really enjoyed all the lovely murals, they tell some history the place. Service was great and professional. There are no windows, which I thought was pretty cool. Once our group showed up, we enjoyed a yummy fish fried taco and ceviche, with some hot seasoning. I would return for dinner in the near future. This was a perfect tour booked thru Viator. @noirvedanaturals
I LOVE Mariscos El Guero! They have my all time favorite hot sauce! It is like nothing I (or you) have tasted before. I actually flew in a day early and contacted Cecilia the owner a month prior to ensure they had 10 bottles I could buy to bring back with me! Their food is excellent. The service is always friendly and attentive. Their Cello Rojo's (Mexican Red Beers) are also delicious and you can get them to go!
What a gem! This is a family owned and operated restaurant and they take. Are in what they serve. Don't miss the Vallarta style ceviche tostada (only 22 pesos!), it is incredible. I'd also recommend the mixed seafood quesadilla and if you like smoked marlin this is the place to get it. Great food, great service, and a very cute accesible location.

This restaurant was established in 1989. They started as a food cart and now they are a fully operating taco restaurant. They pride themselves with seafood tacos. The Mahi Mahi cevechi was really good
Place is great. It's clean. They had English and Spanish menus. Ordered platter of shrimp ceviche, octopus tostadas, garlic shrimp, lemonade. Luckily we got our food before the mad lunch rush of people. The shrimp ceviche had great flavor. It was better than the octopus. The octopus was cooked properly, but packed flavor. The garlic shrimp was good. The rice was good after mixing it with the garlic sauce from the shrimp. The bathroom was clean and they have a sink outside as well which is handy in case a long line for the individual bathrooms. Definitely go back if around.

We got the shrimp ceviche, octopus ajillo style, and fried red snapper (twice), octopus ceviche, and grilled shrimp. Fried red snapper is a MUST try. I also really enjoyed the shrimp ceviche. Everything tasted fresh and so flavorful. Pricing was also fair, but make sure you have cash on you since it's cash only. Can't wait to go back here next time I'm in PV!
Authentic Mexican Seafood Restaurant tucked away off the beaten tourist path. It is always a good sign when you see locals eating there. Fresh Shrimp And Fish Tostada. Generous portions. The Caldo de Mariscos is excellent, and very flavorful. Service is a delight. The restaurant is small and it does get busy and packed for dinner time.
This was our first stop in Puerto Vallarta and we came back several more times! This spot had tons of space inside and a nice set of fans running to cool you down. The waiters were kind and were knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and spice levels. I got shrimp tacos and ceviche and they both had incredible flavor and texture. Their salsa variety is unmatched and delicious. My boyfriend got the bacon wrapped shrimp and was raving about it the whole trip. Definitely a great place to stop for lunch!
Muy americanizado. No tiene sazón Mexicano y está caro. Encuentren otro restaurante si quieren seafood. Don't recommend. There are surely better options for seafood in the area, but it this is not one. Very Americanized, lacks flavor and Mexican flare, and pricey considering the poor quality!
Been here last time we came and of course had to come again. Did not disappoint. First time we came was at lunch, a lot slower and not as many people, big change coming here at dinner when place is packed. We loved both experiences and got fresh delicious seafood at a reasonable (for tourist) price. Snapper was so good, we got both kinds and can't decide what was better. Will be back again and again... My only little complaint is we ordered the regular snapper but they were out so they did just charge us for larger fish. Would have been nice if they would have just honored the first price but in their defense they did tell us first.
Do not sleep on this place when you visit PV!! I'm writing this review from the restaurant because this place is that great. We came here for a light lunch during our beach and spa day in town, and somehow the cheapest lunch during our 7-day Mexico trip was also the tastiest!! I ordered 2 fish tacos and 1 shrimp, and each was just 32 pesos ($1.87 each USD.) The seafood was all flavorful, with the grilled fish moist and juicy and the fried fish/shrimp each the right amount of crunchy. I usually find food in Mexico to be a little salty for me, but these were perfectly flavored and complimented with fresh sides: sauces, fresh salsa, and veggies. The staff was also really friendly and offered to speak to us in Spanish or English. Our waiter was super approachable and the team brought out the food within just 10 min of ordering on a Friday. Be sure to check this place out, BRING CASH, and enjoy!!

Absolutely delicious little hole in the wall in zona romantica known for their seafood. The red snapper was easily the winner, I'm so glad I took a picture of it. It was probably my favorite fish of the trip. The octopus tostada was also delicious, fresh and good quality (not chewy). The service was attentive, the food was well I priced. My only complaint is that there was no AC but oh well. read more

Place gets busy for lunch but worth it. Mostly supported by locals and expats and the occasional tourist that wonders in persuaded by the long line. Love their grilled octopus (pulpo), it was delicious. Their ceviche was also good too. Excellent service. I would also recommend their fish dishes and staying with the seafood on their menu. Speaking of menu, I recommend looking at their menu outside right on the corner. They also offer several special dishes daily posted outside. Really good food. Cheers! read more

Great little spot for Mariscos. Welcomed by the workers and were quickly seated. They offered to turn a fan on for us to help with the heat. It's located on a busy little corner and you can watch the locals and tourist as they go by. They offer seating for small parties and have a large table that can seat about 8. We started our meal with a delicious Michelada and beer. We tried the pescado ceviche, camaron ceviche, and shrimp cocktail. Added a fried pescado taco to complete my meal. Everything was tasty and they offered a great selection of condiments to compliment the meal. Would definitely recommend and will be back read more
Amazing is the only word I can use to describe this place. Small, cute, family owned eatery. This place is not for instagram photos or TikTok's it's to get some great grub and feel at home. Super economically priced and service was 10/10. I first enjoyed the seafood ceviche on a crunchy tostada, it was so fresh and well prepared. Next is what I came here for, ppl have raves about their Marlin tacos and they were right to do so. Amazingly authentic flavor and great taste. They also bring you a plate of hot sauces to try with your food they range from death to life after death so be prepared. The Jamaica agua Fresca was just what I needed to wash those hot sauces down, it was crisp, cold and flavorful. I ended with a shrimp taco and I was delighted to do so, it has a crispy crunch and yummy taste. Dnt just walk, run to this place and get some amazing food read more

I stopped by at the evening for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and excellent service. I ordered Octopus tostada and seafood cocktail. Both fresh and delicious. Plenty of condiments available, including numerous hot sauces, in case you want to set your mouth on fire ( my mood of the evening). Would definitely come back! read more

Authentic Mexican seafood house off the beaten tourist path. Worth walking more inland for better and reasonably priced seafood. Always good when you see locals eating there! Dishes and service were solid! Unfortunately they sold out of the red snapper. read more
As many places in PV, they only accept cash. More and more I'm running into this and it teaches me a lesson to get more pesos. Decently priced seafood restaurant in PV's Zona Romantica. The advantage here is that you have a choice of sizes for some menu items. I ordered a small shrimp cocktail. You get saltines and tostadas and a variety of bottled hot sauces. The sauce of my shrimp cocktail was ok. My limeade was refreshing and not too sweet. They were out of flan in the afternoon. There was a choice of two more desserts, rice pudding and bananas flambé. The bananas flambé were tasty but they could have been more cooked. I can't recall if they're supposed to be tender or al dente. It looks like this is a popular spot among locals. The menus are on the table under a glass. Great idea to keep them clean. read more
Such delicious food. Got the mixed seafood burrito (smoked marlin, octopus and shrimp) and they do not skimp, it was bursting. Flavors were light and still fresh, nothing was overpowering or "heavy." The tortilla was nothing like the ones back in Seattle. Also got the fish ceviche and it was perfectly seasoned, just tart enough and the tostada retained its crisp/crunch. Mariscos El Güero was the first restaurant I tried after landing in PV. On a whim, we strolled into the restaurant (cash only ) not expecting much, but we were pleasantly surprised. We started with the hibiscus tea and seafood salad. Both were so fresh and delicious. This was followed by the marlin tostado (a must try). After tasting the marlin tostado, I had to try the jalapeño tacos that were fried and stuffed with marlin. Spicy and yummy! The restaurant caters to locals and is a great value! The flavors are so memorable, and the staff were so nice and attentive. I would go back tomorrow. Recommend! read more

Having come straight from Mexico City, these tacos were just okay. They're definitely better than American tacos but they weren't mind blowing. Tortilla is nothing special. Def wasn't feeling that an abuela made it for me with love. I got the grilled shrimp, fried fish, and a fried jalapeno with fish. My fave was def the fried jalapeño with fish! It was such a unique combo and absolutely delicious! I loved the spiciness of the jalapeno paired with the deep fried fish. Yum! Also, full disclosure that I did not try the lettuce mixture since I was scared of food poisoning. That may have enhanced the taco experience! We also ordered the ceviche tostada! Yes it's great compared to the Us but if you really enjoy authentic mexican food, then it's just aight. Great spot for Puerto Vallarta, but it can't compare to restaurants in Mexico City! read more
3.5/5 for me. We got seafood soup and fried garlic fish. The seafood soup was pretty good, perfect amount of fishiness. The fried fish was very dry tho. You need to drink something while eating it kinda dry and I didn't taste the garlic out of it.. 3.5/5 mainly cause we waited almost 30 mins to get our soup and even longer for the fish. The server was pretty considerate, brought us sample shrimp soups and biscuits while we were waiting. The table next to us got their tacos pretty fast and they seem to like it. read more
Great seafood restaurant near the malecon. I had the fish tostada and mixed seafood cocktail. Everything was fresh, delicious and affordable. This is a popular place for locals and tourists, as Vallarta food tours frequently stops by for the tostadas and fish tacos. We enjoyed our meal and I would 100% come back for the fish tostada. I really wanted to try the fried red snapper as well, but they were out Everything I would say is good by the looks of peoples plates and expressions. read more

I wasn't very impressed with their tacos, they only came with tortilla and meat(fish/shrimp). You had to DIY the veggies and sauce. Seafood soup was great. We all love it. Lots of seafood (fish, shrimp, crab) Shrimp turnover was great too. Red snapper (whole fish) was phenomenal. We chose grilled with garlic. Very reasonable price and friendly service. read more
