Good vibe, good coffee, good service...what more can you ask for? The $1 coffee is going up to $1.35 but that still beats Starbucks by a mile! I've been coming here for almost a year. I love that the baristas know my name and pretty much know my drink :-) The food is pricey....but on days when I feel like splurging, it's well worth it. Their BLT is simply to die for. So simple but man does it hit the spot! I can never make it as good as they do. Besides yummy coffee they also have a great assortment of teas. Their chamomile is currently my favorite. I live in Guerneville, and in the past, thought their coffee sucked. I hear it's better now. Some of the food is ok in a rush, but very little was actually made on premises. My main issue is that the workers have to pay for espresso drinks, and don't even get shift meals! From what I knew recently, the employees only made about $8.75 an hour and the owners were rich. I don't excuse rudeness, but when workers are underpaid and exhausted, it's hard to keep a cheery face. It would appear that a lot of corners are being cut - profit over quality? The freshness of things that actually ARE made in house is hit or miss, and for the asking price, (which raises regularly) one could do much better. My bottom line is that, I won't go to places that serve food and refuse to give their workers even a shift meal. read more

The selection of coffees is pretty great, considering we're in the boondocks. Good selection of quick breakfast, lunch and pastry as well. Staff is friendly, and the place is clean. Inconsistency from one barista to the next is really the only drawback I can see. The other day, I got a capuccino with the foam spooned on top in a pile. :( read more

I have lived in NYC and have been a prisoner to high-priced subpar coffee. This place is great, best I've been to in the greater Santa Rosa area and better than Starbucks. I have only gotten a hot and cold Caramel Latte (both better versions of the Starbucks Caramel Macchiato). Most of the staff is very nice and jovial, except one middle-aged long-haired lady who hates straight couples and makes them feel uncomfortable (sorry just a warning). Upon a trip to Armstrong Woods we stumbled across a wonderful find in Guerneville just as we turned onto Armstrong Woods Road. The Coffee Bazar serves up delicious food and drink all prepared with the best local ingredients. Their cafe mocha contains Guiradelli Chocolate and the finest coffee. It was rich beyond compare. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the environment warm and inviting. Although we did not stop for lunch the menu looked delicious and healthy and we will definitely make time for lunch our next trip through Guerneville CA. read more

Ok. So this place always frustrates me. In my town this is the most convienant place to get coffee. They actually have improved in some ways. The sandwiches are better. The case food is not good. The pastries are not good. The coffee is decent. I can't get a good cappuccino in there to save my life. The staff is some great, some horrible. It has good parking, big plus. It has nice local art. So I worked for 10 years in the coffee industry. In a place where customer service is above and beyond the most important part of a business. You treat customers like royalty. They are the life blood of your business. I worked as a barista, then assistant manager of Café Café in Aventura Florida and then general manager. I have worked in the coffee industry and hospitality industry my whole life. I also frequent many cafes. All of which treat me like a valued customer. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. This is a business. People who frequent keep the place in business. No ifs ands or buts. I called this morning bc I was in a massive hurry. I asked if they could make my latte so I could come in, grab it, pay, leave. No line, no waiting. I didn't have the time. They said there's no one there, I said I'm afraid 10 people could walk in, They said ok. When I arrived 10 mins later. The coffee was not made. There was a line. I had to wait. They said we don't do that bc the espresso shot had to be fresh. I was so pissed. I didn't care about the shot. I just wanted to get the coffee and not have to wait. Again. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. Why are they arguing with me? I'm so sick of this California attitude in places of business. He literally told me to go to another café. The don't do that. Excuse me. You do whatever to please the customer. It's no skin off your back. I didn't care about it being fresh just fast. I come in there and buy coffee and sandwiches for 10 people sometimes. Get over yourself. Snobby, uppity and rude. If my husband didn't love your sandwich I would never come in again. But thank you. Today I ordered a espresso machine for the house. I will never have a bad cup again made by a bitter barista. read more

Very disappointed with the more experienced baristas today. I did what I usually do each morning in my frequent trips to Guernville . I stopped for some delicious coffee, however there was a new guy working at the Register. He promptly took out orders and asked the other barista making coffee if she would like him to pump in the pumpkins spics and leave the cup for her to finish. The experienced barista was extremely rude and my whole party felt the tension. To make matters worse the paper was out of the machine and he attempted to fix it with no avail he asked for assistance of course that was met with more hostility as he was ignored and got attitude. Not only did this act make me feel uncomfortable but it also held the line until the more experienced barista deemed it worthy of there time to step in. I was however very impressed with the new guy although he was getting disrespect and hostility he remain calm. The only thing I can add is if this is how they want to run a coffee shop I want no part in it. read more

Very cool location and ambience. Just off the main drag. Only negative was that the prices were a bit high ($6 for a blended mocha) and despite 4 employees working and no one else in line, a bit slow to help me, and slow to process the order. Great coffee. Atmosphere is relaxing. It's nice to read something from the adjacent bookstore and drink a nice cup of coffee
