    Waffle Nachos

My friend and I had been dying to try this place - coffee and ice cream, two of my favorite things. Unfortunately it didn't quite live up to my expectations. I decided to try the waffle nachos, and I added Nutella, cookie dough, and Oreos. They were very generous with the waffle cone chips and the cookie dough, but seeing you pay $1 for each topping, I was a little disappointed in the Nutella and Oreos received. I also grabbed an oatmeal cream pie to eat later and it was delicious! My friend got a regular sundae and we were also disappointed that at 8:10 (they close at 9pm) she wasn't able to get chocolate syrup because the girls working had already cleaned the machine for the night... considering all the ice cream spots, while this was fine I wouldn't go back.

Great little shop on the mallway in UA. Just came for a black coffee but lots of other drink options, and they have a punch card which is a nice incentive for returning. They also have ice cream that I've heard great things about and some other baked goods. Drink special was a chocolate strawberry that sounded awesome, and I want to try the honey cream too. Service was welcoming and friendly, definitely will be back.

Great little place! Cute inside and good options! Grab and go! Had the chai latte on Easter Sunday and the place was hopping!

A friend and I visited this week and it's a convenient location with easy parking which is always appreciated. The workers were so friendly and it seems like they love their job. We enjoyed our iced latte and tea, but the banana pudding Rice Krispie treat wasn't my favorite. I was surprised by the amount of food they have (chicken and waffles!) so I'll try something else next time. There was plenty of indoor seating and the vibes were relaxed and welcoming.

I hadn't been in the area for a while so I went to Yelp to see if there were any newer options for me to check out. That's when I found Bitty & Beau's and headed straight over. When I arrived I learned that this spot is a coffee shop, self described as a shop, "where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are valued in the workplace." Their website shares that they employ over 450 individuals with disabilities nationwide. That is when I realized that Bitty & Beau's was actually a chain establishment with 10+ locations spanning from the Midwest and East Coast down to Florida and even Texas. I'm not big on chains, but this is one I can get behind. Very cool. A few things to note... It's located in a shopping complex, which means there's plenty of parking and other businesses like restaurants, a grocery store, etc. The interior is really dark and moody. That's not usually the atmosphere I look for when I'm going to work, meet someone, or hang out for a while. That said, I was able to find a table to prop up for a while. I had trouble with the wifi while I was there and didn't end up staying as long as I had planned because I really needed it. The staff was great! Super friendly, answered questions about their seasonal offerings, and all of that. We even got serenaded by a worker (All Star by Smash Mouth) and I couldn't help but join it. I'll also add that my seasonal lavender latte with oatmilk was $10 which baffled me. However, I did think it was cute that instead of a number to listen for when your order is ready, they would give you a playing card. Mine was the 10 of diamonds and it was ready rather swiftly.

It really pains…read moreme to take 2 stars off my normal 5 star experience but hopefully they will read the review (and the feedback I provided to the manager) and use it to return to their 5 star experience. On my most recent visit this month there was a noticeable shift in food quality and service. Our server was new to the team so I give him grace as he ramps up his learning curve. Other issues came from the kitchen. I learned that the tea house is under new management so hopefully they can get up to speed. Issues included: 1)about 45 mins to get our tea. Scones arrived and were eaten before the first drop of tea arrived at our table. Despite being ordered at same time. 2)the orange chicken salad is now shredded instead of ground. It was the unique ground up texture that I loved. I really don't even like chicken salad lol but the old recipe was much better than the new. 3)the carrot salad was basically just carrots with a dollop of dressing in bottom of the cup. The carrots had no dressing on them at all. 4) sausage quiche went half eaten by those who ordered at our table. These may seem like small things but when coupled with multiple requests for water, tea, and waving down the waiter for service it made for a very frustrating visit at what was previously my favorite little restaurant in Columbus. Fortunately the atmosphere is still lovely and the scones, cream and jam were on point.
