Coffee connection is one of my favorite places to go for coffee. I usually get the Nutella coffee with milk only and they always steam my milk, so my coffee is wicked hot which I love! The only bad thing to kinda say is service can sometimes be a challenge. Sometimes they can not be the nicest. But it's only a few select people who work there. The guy that's there most of the time I go there is super nice! So again it depends on who serves you. But it's better than dunkin for sure! Oh and they charge and extra 50¢ if you use a credit card and your order is less than $10. Which doesn't bother me but bothers other ppl. I often go here after my lunch break to get my co-workers and I a quick caffeine fix. Coffee is decent (3/5) , much better than Dunkin' or some of the other alternatives in the area. I usually get the regular (unflavored) coffee, but they have a pretty wide variety of flavors. Be careful of the blended drinks and coffee concoctions as they're usually too sweet and often not espresso-based, unless you're into that. Would give 3.5 stars if I could but the service is generally pretty quick and accomodating for large orders, so that helps. I can't speak to the food served here, perhaps I'll update my review at some point to include that too. In short, a nice coffee shop that consistently gives a good product. Any day involving TWO! stops at Coffee Connection is a fantastic one. We all should know by now that CC offers the best coffee in the state... but what about their food? It's amazing! The Mediterranean salad is loaded with deliciousness. Seriously, it's jampacked with amazing flavors like banana peppers, olives, shredded carrots, cucumbers, the most amazingly juicy tomatoes ever, feta cheese, hummus and the all important grape leaves. And I know I'm leaving something out! All this for $6 and change. I think the grape leaves themselves cost half as much! For breakfast, their muffins and egg sandwiches are too-die-for. Coffee Connection has some really great flavors of iced coffee even if I do feel awkward ordering them. My two favorite flavors have been Snickerdoodle (I just can't say that word without smiling and/or laughing) and French Kiss flavored iced coffee. Sure, not the most masculine sounding beverages but they are delicious. Admittedly, I haven't had any pastries, bagels, wraps, smoothies, or any of the other things that they offer, so my rating is based solely on Iced Coffee. Once again, the rule for strip mall skepticism has been proved inaccurate. The Coffee Connection is a splendid little cafe with comfortable seating and loads of tasty menu options. There are many auditory distractions, but nothing cafe-goers wouldn't be accustomed to. i live in a neighboring town which (by some tragic reason) doesn't have a local cafe/coffee shop, and in my searches for a GOOD cup of coffee stumbled across this little gem. Conveniently they ALSO have a well-rounded selection of bagels, muffins, and cookies. The menu features scrumptious sandwich selections (around $6), smart smoothies, and a large collection of coffee Apparently what their menu is really known for is their "Coffee Connection" section, which mixes flavors (most likely syrups) with the coffee to make high-end-like beverages. The combinations are enticing: Turtle Coffee :caramel, chocolate fudge, whipped cream, chocolate shavings. I ordered a medium iced Maui Madness (hazelnut, coconut, banana); madness: yes (especially at the price it is sold at!), subtly delicious: YESYESYES. And of course I couldn't resist a wee morsel; I bought a coconut macaroon for 1$ which was fluffy and sweet. Easy parking, great menu, delicious coffee, and competitive prices (just remember to bring $$$CASH$$$ - there is a 10$min for cards). I must admit, when I was asked by my co-workers to go out to lunch at Coffee Connection, I was a bit hesitant. I've worked in the Lincoln/Cumberland area for 12 years now and if there is one thing I've learned over the years; there aren't many great places to go out to lunch. Regardless, I wanted a coffee for an afternoon pick me up, so I went along for the ride. When I walked in and saw the INSANE menu of coffees (iced & cold,) smoothies as well as their food menu and pastry choices; I was pleasantly surprised. Don't let the name, Coffee Connection, fool you. It's not just coffee, it's a coffee mecca and the food choices are pretty awesome too. I decided on the Chicken Kabob Wrap and I was so happy with it. The hummus was delicious and the chicken was plentiful and juicy. They cut the wrap in two pieces, which I'm glad they did because I could only eat half of it. I ate the rest for dinner. I also ordered a hot Mocha Latte, which was also yummy. I bought a huge piece of Baklava to take home with me, which I've yet to get into, but from my experience thus far, I have a feeling it's going to be delightful and I won't want it to end. I will most definitely be heading back to the Coffee Connection to try one of their many crazy coffee concoctions and also to try many more of the Mediterranean inspired menu options. Coffee connection used to be my #1 spot for açaí bowls. They altered the menu which would've been okay, but the bowls are so small now, still at the same high prices. I got less than 3 bites of just smoothie today and half of what appeared to be smoothie was mixed in with granola. Honestly felt cheap and sneaky. I'll have to find a new spot, so sad! read more

Good coffee (try the mocha blast!) and fairly good service. I work down so this is the local mom and pop coffee shop that I try to go to as much as possible. Stay away when the local high school gets out, or you will be waiting in a long line, but the staff tries to move past the big parties and serve you if they notice you're alone. I went in around 1:15 and it was full of 17 year olds, and man, they were loud. Luckily, I enjoy my coffee on the go, so it wasn't a big deal. They don't take credit cards for anything below 10$, but they will charge you 0.50$ a transaction if you forget your cash. Bagels are delicious as well. read more

I've visited this place a few times and I probably won't go back. In recent memory I purchased the following four things: A breakfast sandwich, a cappuccino, a wrap, and an iced chai. The breakfast sandwich was sausage, egg, and cheese on a toasted sesame bagel. The bagel and sausage were unremarkable, the cheese was American (a negative in my book when it comes to breakfast sandwiches), and the egg was a preformed pre-cooked patty. It was disappointing. The cappuccino was heavy and the foam was unstable. Completely unacceptable. The wrap was a "thanksgiving" wrap with turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. The wrap was bland, the turkey was fine, the stuffing component was underseasoned, and there was too much (clearly canned) cranberry sauce which made the wrap unduly sweet and messy. Worst "thanksgiving"-type sandwich I've ever had. The iced chai was made from a powdered mix, which is always a bad way to start in my experience. It tasted very sweet, and though I ordered the "spiced" version, there was insufficient spice to offset this. There was also a taste of powdered milk that is common to the powdered chai mixes. Most displeasing. I was thinking of giving this place 2 stars, but reading my review, I now realize that "Meh. I've experience better." really doesn't do it justice. read more

You can't go wrong with a flavored iced coffee from coffee connection! They are always made perfectly and the coffee quality is good! I have tried so many drinks and foods here! Their egg sandwiches are super yummy and good quality. I usually get an English muffin with egg cheese and sausage! So yummy! My husband loves the blt wrap. read more

Sometimes the line is backed up to the door but the staff is so quick that I am waiting no more than 5 minutes to get my delicious coffee. Fast service, extensive menu, comfortable setting, etc... I really wanted to like this place because it has such a devout group of regulars raving about it. I keep going back hoping that my past experiences were somehow off, but alas...they remain consistent. The coffee is mediocre, albeit better than the options from the drive-thru chains closer to the highway (arches and DD). I absolutely loathe flavored coffee and that is what stands out at this place. My philosophy is that if you have to add ANYTHING (flavor, cream, sugar) than it is poor quality coffee and the additive is to cover it up. There is a lack of knowledge of the people behind the counter to make a good espresso drink which is diminished by the not-very-good coffee. That being said, it's a great thing to have a local coffee shop in Cumberland that is an easy in and out on your way to work or whatever. The food is pretty good, but nothing I can rave about. Again...better than a bagel sandwich from a chain. It lacks a real "coffee shop" vibe and seems more like a deli than a coffee shop. Good for locals, but this is not one of those places I'd be willing to go out of my way for (I occasionally go on coffee pilgrimages across the state or north towards Boston to find a really spectacular cup). read more

After trying two other breakfast places on Memorial Day (one was closed and Egg's Up was packed) we stumbled upon this small establishment. The variety of beverages ranging from coffee to smoothies and more was amazing. Not only was the list impressive but the drinks themselves were delicious. They have a selection of pastries and sandwiches as well. I sunk my teeth into an apple turnover and was not disappointed. Definitely would go back here for a casual breakfast. Coffee Connection is ok. I go when I'm in the northern RI area and need a caffeine fix. They charge you to use a credit card charge that is under 10$, which isn't a big deal but can be a pain if I don't have cash on me, which is all the time. The coffee is ok, but not my favorite. I drink it black and always get it iced. My coworkers love the flavored iced coffee (and hot) drinks but I had their pumpkin iced coffee and it was way too sweet. Prices are about the norm for a local coffee joint. The atmosphere is fine but nothing too special. I had an egg sandwich at the Woonsocket location and I didn't like it. Not sure if I would try any of their other sandwiches after that. I think they generally microwave everything. So yeah, not terrible but about average for me. I will definitely be back because it is convenient to my work and is better than Dunkin. read more

Nice little coffee place with many different varieties and options to choose from. Different styles of coffee drinks as well made to any way you like. Pastries aren't bad and bagels and cream cheese opitions are nice as well. Sandwiches are tasty and filling. Can be a little pricey than the normal places but I'm fine with that. Plenty of room to sit and relax while having something there. Staff is friendly and fast and polite and will explain anything to you that your not sure about. Hands down, the worst latte I've ever had. They definitely have no idea how to fine-tune their espresso machine. The beans they used were cheap and very stale. And they completely burned the milk. I am a fan of the coffee connection. Their coffee is great and they are quick to serve in the am even when there is a line. The only gripe I have with the shop is they seem to only hire woman that could double as a Hooters Waitress. They are very nice girls but seem to all fit the same type of physical appearance. I find it very insulting and humurous all at the same time. For that reason I only rank them a 3 star.....but the coffee is worth the trip!! read more

I would consider myself an avid coffee drinker, and I have tried many coffee shops around the Rhode Island/Southeastern Massachusetts area. This is one of my new favorites. I go back at least once a week (if not more) and order an iced caramel latte with skim milk. Usually my disappointment with some coffee shops is that they use way to much milk, drowning out the coffee. But this place uses the perfect ratio of espresso to milk, so the coffee taste is bold but not bitter. Also, I have yet to run into a rude employee. Everyone who works there is so nice and able to make the coffees quickly. The price is pretty good, definitely cheaper than other coffee shops in the area. I have not tried any of the food yet, however, so can't speak for that. read more
