It was the end of the day, so perhaps they had been sitting out all day but for a first time buyer, that's not good. I love cupcakes and have pretty high standards and I will not be ordering cupcakes from Dyane's. Candy - if you are looking for a place to get original homemade treats for an Easter Basket. My tiny latte was more than $7. I drink a lot of coffee and this was very disappointing. It was watery and lacked flavor. I was walking around sipping on it and taking photos, and missed hearing my name called for my breakfast sandwich. There was a bag on the to go spot, so i asked if it was mine. The guy opened the bag, looked in and was like looks like it might be egg on a croissant and handed it to me. I was very underwhelmed. I only knocked one star off my rating because any business could have an off day. I've had so many great experiences in the past, but today was definitely a let down. The cupcake bouquets are made to order and come in a variety of flowers and colors. Bouquets come in 7, 12, 14, 19, 24 cupcakes. Three weeks ahead of the date of the party, I called and placed an order with Susan, owner of Awesome Sweets Bakery. Susan walked me through the flavors and fillings of the cupcakes and the colors. I chose 7 cupcakes-3 Red Velvet filled with Chocolate Mousse and 4 Funfetti filled with Strawberry Buttercream and for colors-blue, yellow, white, and pink. Credit card information was also taken when I placed my order. It was very easy to work with Susan. On the day of the party, I went to pick up the cupcake bouquets and they all looked so beautiful. It was stored in a tall box and was easy to transport. I can tell so much attention to detail and hard work went into piping the flower petals. The cupcakes were moist and icing wasn't overly sweet. We opted for cupcakes rather than the traditional three-tiered wedding cake, so Sue whipped us up some delicious samples featuring homemade fruit fillings and rich frosting. The strawberry with champagne frosting was my favorite, followed by blueberry and lemon. To accommodate our vision for how the cupcakes would be displayed, Sue went out of her way to buy a new circular tower and get ribbon to match our wedding colors. The result was an impeccably designed table of delicious treats that our guests loved. To top it off, Sue offered to make us a small, fresh cake for our one-year anniversary rather than have us eat something that had been freezer-burned for months. Talk about sweet :).
