the great white spot of mold
Edith S.

I came here for the first time today and got a coffee, scone, and fruit cup. The coffee was good. The scone, unremarkable, but OK. The fruit cup, upon opening it, smelled rancid. Thank goodness I had the sense to carefully examine it before eating it. The pineapple in the cup was brown, and there was a large mold spot on the fruit. (see picture) While I liked the coffee, I am afraid to come back here because I can't help but wonder what else other food they are serving that might be expired. For chopped fruit to be in such a state, it had to be at least a week old - maybe more. I don't want to risk getting sick, so I won't be back.

All the locals rave about Coffee Connection. I never tend to find myself near one though. This location has a great location just off 295 and a few minutes fro Bryant University. The selection is very decent and the prices are quite reasonable. This place is clean and cozy, allowing for a chatty atmosphere where you don't have to shout to be heard. Everything I had was tasty. It's nice to see a local chain thriving and popping up in an area where variety is needed.

Stopped by for a quick bite, first time inside, very disappointed store was dirty not inviting, bagel not really toasted, chi half full. Not sure what is missing but these are simple and basic items. Do better, be professional.

a sausage and egg sandwich

Absolute jokes of a breakfast sandwich. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel and received a raw bacon, raw sausage, egg, and unmelted cheese. Easily the worst I've ever seen and I can't even take a bite that's how horrible it looks. It's also an egg patty, to top it off.

Very long, non moving drive thru line at 6:30am. Order was accurate, overpriced, and yummy. Don't come here if you're in a hurry!

I had been wanting to try this place for the longest but since it is a cute little truck that travels around the state, I hadn't had the opportunity to organically come across it - until this moment. Although a lot of their drink options sounded delicious, I went with the iced Maria Maria. I got the opportunity to chat a bit with one of the Marias and she was very kind, along with the other two team members. The prices are average, with my drink coming out to about $6. One disclaimer is that I don't drink coffee much, so I can't speak about the quality of the coffee taste but overall I loved the drink, mostly because it wasn't too strong or sweet but did have a very creamy taste. In addition, they do add a Maria cookie, which is very nostalgic for me. Although the line was very long, they were very efficient with just 3 people and do get our orders at a timely manner. I am looking forward to the next time I see them again to try more of their stuff. They do post their schedule of where they will be on their instagram page at the start of each week.

They post their schedule for the week on instagram on Mondays. I visited the mobile horse trailer or cart on Tuesday, 8/12/25, at Miriam Hospital on the corner of 7th Ave and Summit Ave in Providence, RI. There is street parking available. At 6:30am, they helped their first customer. I was probably about tenth in line. I ordered the coco-quipe latte from their summer menu. This late is infused with rich arequipe and creamy coconut. It is blended with 2% milk (they didn't have whole milk) and crowned with a fluffy vanilla cold foam and a sprinkle of shredded coconut. Unfortunately, I was expecting the arequipe and coconut flavors to be stronger and I do not think I got shredded coconut on top of it. As I drank more of the latte, it did taste better. The staff members were very friendly and talking to all the customers. It didn't take long for my drink to be ready. I'm glad I had the opportunity to try Maria Maria Coffee Bar.

Well, up in the area looking for a breakfast place, which are sort of sparse if you want something…read morein a mile or so radius, we came upon the Coffee Connection. They're building and parking lot were maintained very nicely. Everything was very clean and plenty of parking. When you walk in, there's a very modern comfortable field with plenty of seating and a bar to stand at if you just like to chitchat and have your morning coffee. When going in they have a plentiful amount of choices for breakfast or lunch. Everything was baked fresh on site. There's a wide selection of bagels, coffee acai' and breakfast items. If you're looking for a sit down bacon and eggs place this isn't your place. The staff was very pleasant and willing to help and answer any questions we had she also offered a reward program, but we weren't from the area. My husband ordered a bagel with strawberry and cream cheese, but she said was very tasty and there was none left so I assume he enjoyed it! I ordered an avocado toast, which came out on the lightest bread ever it has smashed avocado, a little olive oil, salt and pepper, some cherry tomatoes, Pepita seeds, and I added an egg. Very delicious not a Scrap left.! We had previously gone to another coffee shop in the area so unfortunately we didn't get to try any of the hot coffees, cold coffees, espresso, refreshers, smoothie or all of the other delicious items that they had on their menu. It was nice to see that this is a local stop for the local companies working because they were bustling. When in the area we definitely come back !

I found this place from Google and saw that it's a local chain so I'd figure I would try it out and see how things are. On to the review! - so I checked out the menu and decided on the falafel wrap. I picked it up, place was busy which is a good sign.. I bring the wrap back to work to eat. I open the bag and I'm kind of confused. Maybe it's me but why is the wrap cut in half and put in the bag. Moving on from that. I pulled the wrap out the bag and peeled back the wraper and took my first bite and it was delicious. A perfect blend of veggies, sauce and falafel ! I will be going back again to try something different! Ps, don't fully take the paper off the wrap I do recommend this place I just wish they wrapped the wrap better and packaged the wrap better for transport.

I have a picture below. We visited RI during the Christmas season, so we not only got to see how lovely this cafe was, but also their awesome Grinch-themed Christmas decor. The walls are filled with cool artwork, but the centerpiece is a mural on the wall of Van Gogh's masterpieces "Starry Night." The owner, Mia, is great to talk to. She takes great pride in what she has envisioned here, and I'm always happy to support a great, small business. She told me about all of their craft latte's and it was really hard to choose. I went with a Gingerbread latte and my wife had the Rhode Islander, which is a latte with coffee syrup. There are so many other drinks to try, so I will probably try to come back while I'm still in town. The latte's were delicious and really such a treat. They also have some pastries, which most are baked in-house. They looked really good! I also love the merchandise they sell which was all local products and things made by local artists. I highly recommend going to Starry Night if you're in the area and skip the chains like Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts.

I ended up going twice in the same week to the one in Smithfield, but l am curious to see if quality changes from one location to the other. Anyways, they have a good selection of flavors including: sesame, the works, jalapeno cheddar, three cheese, pepperoni and cheddar, plain, cinnamon sugar, and from what I have seen online, they do offer seasonal flavors which I am very excited for. Each one cost $1.50, or you could get half a dozen for $7.00 and a baker's dozen (13) for $14.00 which is one of the best deals around. The first time I went, I bought a dozen since / was taking them to a brunch and the second time I ordered half a dozen. One thing that immediately sets them apart from other bagel shops I've been to is their attention to detail which I am huge on. When I purchased the dozen, I requested one cinnamon sugar and they wrapped it in parchment paper so the sweetness wouldn't get on any of the other bagels. So far, I have only tasted the jalapeno cheddar and the everything bagel. I love that they're loaded with flavor, the bread is soft, not airy but also doesn't feel too dense, it is not dry, and the dough is slightly elastic-y which I love. I think a good way to measure how good a bagel is is to eat it without toasting it. This one passed with flying colors. The first time I came, l was a little confused as to where this place was because the GPS led me to the back of the building but did find my way after driving around the building. The second time I came here, 1 realized they have a drive-thru window which is very convenient. There were about 4 cars ahead of me, but within 5 minutes I was on my way home. I would highly recommend coming here!
