The food was really delicious and well prepared. Although the place is sort of messy and unsanitary. It's still a nice place to be in.

The food is pretty good, but the cashier/owner/management was rude addressing non-Vietnamese customer (me), and speaking inappropriately. I love their banh mi fish pate. It is probably the best I've had out of any place. A bit pricey for banh mi but worth it. Their breakfast is pretty good but also a bit pricey too. I've tried many banh mi around here and LA but I can't seem to find a good one but this is probably the best so far. It's weird how any cheap old food carts on the streets of Saigon can beat any banh mi place here in CA. I don't know why none of them can duplicate it. If any of you are a banh mi fan and if you ever go to Vietnam, definitely check out any banh mi food cart. It was almost a 100% sure bet according to all the ones that I hit up. But this place is pretty good. They are a bit americanize so you won't feel weird if you don't speak the language. My friend suggested that we go to Coffee Factory for a breakfast. She had been here many times and it was my first time dining here. We found out that the original restaurant was temporarily closed for remodeling and they were currently operating out of Creamery Pop, which is in the same plaza. My first impression was that the decorations in the store are really cute. I ordered the Opla Filet mignon and my friend got the eggs with pate and sausage. Our food came out in to-go trays with plastic utensils, which didn't bother me much, but I admit, it was a little weird. Especially because prior to eating here, I looked at their yelp page to see what to order and everything was served on regular plates with silver utensils. When I tried my food, the Filet mignon tasted as though it had been microwaved. The texture was tough and the inside was cold. The onions were also cold. My friend told me she had ordered that before and that it didn't taste like that. I really tried to enjoy my meal but my appetite was ruined. I told our server, an older woman, that my meal felt cold and she told me it had just been made and that there was no way it could be cold. Her body language suggested that she was upset about me inquiring about the food. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot impatiently while I was talking to her. That was the last straw. I couldn't enjoy my meal and when I simply asked about it, I was not treated like a welcome guest. I hope that this was only a result of them not being able to serve from the original restaurant. However, I can say that her service should not have been affected by this. I am very disappointed with my first visit. read more

The Coffee Factory is one of my favorite sandwich places ever. Their Vietnamese sandwiches are the best. My favorite is the BBQ pork. But the BBQ chicken, egg and sausage, shrimp cake, and pate, are very good as well. The sandwiches aren't too big. I will usually eat 1 or 2 of them for lunch, depending on how hungry I am. If you go with some friends, you can order a variety and share them. By default, they cut the sandwiches in half but you can ask to have them cut into thirds. The rest of the food here is just okay. Maybe 3 stars. Honestly, if you're at the Coffee Factory, I wouldn't even bother with the other food. Just go for the 5 star sandwiches and be done with it! read more

Absolutely terrible food and service! Takes so long to get the food out. We ordered the "bo ne". One was basically raw and the other was so hard you couldn't even cut it with the steak knife! We also ordered the noodles which tasted like nothing at all! They have horrendous prices and the owner just said sorry and that was it! The coffee was so bland and I was disappointed. The staff was especially rude and didn't seem to want to serve us at all. I'm never going back there. I suggest you don't come either unless you want horrible food. read more

Easily the best banh mi in the OC. This is my go to place whenever a friend wants to try good banh mi. It's a bit pricier than other sandwich places but you pay more for the quality. They toast their sandwiches and use better ingredients that makes the sandwich stand out among the rest. I recommend the dac biet sandwich. read more

The best place for coffee and shaking beef in SoCal. Great service and great food. Their bread is always fresh and hot.

My family and I got here every week. We're really close to the family that runs the place and the food is great! We always get the wonton soup, banh mi thit nuong, and almond croissant with hot tea, fresh squeezed orange juice, or cafe sua da. The decor is cuter now since they've changed the look and I think they offer a lot more different dishes. Service can be a little right on weekend mornings since it's so busy but they do a great job! read more

probably the epitome of lil saigon cafe life. old vietnamese men flocking the outside cafe tables, chain smoking like no tomorrow, catching up on the latest news and gossip. local celebrities and stars (um.. no one i would know, i don't watch vietnamese tv) congregate here as well. besides that, the bo kho (tender chunks of beef and tendon with carrots, onion, and cilantro) is excellent, served with a light and crispy baguette to sop up the juices. the curry goat is a little too heavy and gamey for me. banh mi is excellent here as well. and of course the cafe sua da is excellent, but pricey. i mostly go to the irvine location since it's close by, but it definitely lacks the 'atmosphere' of the original westminster location.. lol. read more

The women that work here are all very friendly and speak English pretty well, which are both rare qualities to find at most Vietnamese places. I forgot why I stopped coming here for awhile, and when I made a random stop, I remembered that it is kind of pricy BUT I looooooove the food here. They got some buttery mini croissants filled with meat, and super cute banh baos that fit the size of my palm. Customer service is QUICK and very friendly! We were traveling in L.A. and happened upon this place when we needed a pick-me-up. It's a very cute cafe run by really nice ladies. We asked for a recommendation and were given the best Vietnamese coffee frap ever! We also got a strawberry shake for the kids, and it was less than impressive, but we'll definitely come back for the VN coffee and some snacks or lunch. Be forewarned, there are tons of people here on the weekends (especially older men converging on the outside front patio). Just bypass them and go inside to get your caffeine on! read more

Coffee Factory came recommended by a friend. They food was fine but very pricey. The Assiete Plate was ok but I wasn't blown away by that or the Vietnamese coffee (café sua da). Others in my party got the filet minion with eggs and croissant, both of which she liked so maybe I should try those next time!
