My family has been coming to coffee factory back then before they expanded. The banh mi dac biet is to die for. My dad always calls in orders to go whenever we want a quick snack. Their sandwiches are always made fresh and backed with meat. Their bread is made in house and always to perfection. The two sisters that operate the restaurant have done a great job at always keeping the food consistent. I recommend this place for brunch any day :). read more

Beverages come and go. The only beverage that has survived for centuries is coffee. How come? Coffee is a social product. It brings love, warmth, and harmony. Hot or cold, coffee is a complete culture. Coffee does not make a difference in nationality, skin color, society or age. The Coffee Factory introduces this culture and philosophy. This establishment is just a few minutes walk from our house. We ordered two large vietnamese coffee -- and it tasted great. No wonder this coffee shop is legendary. VERY STRONG coffee. The ambiance is cozy and they have a very attentive and friendly staff, although they speak little English. They also serve food for lunch or dinner very good and quality. The menu has a lot to choose from but you must try there steak and eggs side of rice with eggs easy on top; this is one of the best. This place has a cheap breakfast menu. They also serve cold cuts. Must try!!! According to various recipes across the board, it should be made with double the amount of coffee you're used to--and it was very clear that my version would've been nearly undrinkable without the milk. I didn't want to like its sweetness, but found it strangely addictive--dangerous, when you calculate the caffeine content. Within a minute, my companion's iced coffee was gone, as the ice further dilutes the strength of the coffee. Our waiter said the coffee was his favorite drink to sit and linger with, both morning and evening. However, I saw it more as a dessert drink, especially if it was scalding hot. If the iced version was blended and topped with whipped cream, it could knock a Frappuccino out of the park. Friends tell me many Vietnamese restaurants in the United States use pre-ground coffee with chicory, but a good espresso blend or any beans that lack acidity should work. In my dreams we'd all make our own sweetened condensed milk, but restaurants that sell huge plates of food for $6 may not stray from the canned variety. And stay far, far away from the restaurants that premix the coffee for you. Most of the fun comes from stirring the milk at the bottom, lifting your spoon, and letting the thick globs drip off. read more

If you like banh mi with an added touch, Coffee Factory got you covered. They have some really good banh mi here. It has a lot of flavor to it. I usually go here for their cafe sua da. The cafe they make is quite strong. A pretty good dish there is their Bo Kho. Just the right amount. Very tender. This place is packed at certain times, i.e. lunch time. It's a pretty chill place. banh mi thit nuong = delicious. although there were like two pieces of err 'meat' that weren't meat...it was like thick pieces of brownish fat disguised as meat in my sandwich =( yuck. i hate fat. but i like the thit nuong here because it tastes different from others' and looks more appetizing than your typical PINK thit nuong. the banh mi bo kho was alrite....a lot of the meat pieces were also fatty pieces =/ the sauce/broth part tasted a bit bland to me..i like it at le croissant dore better.... but i can't complain about the bread or coffee. iced mocha coffee, strong, a bit on the bitter side, but that's how i like it! and the bread, light, airy, crispy. service was whatever, nothing bad, nothing special. read more

To top it off, their drinks stand out from their competitors especially their iced milk coffee, chia seed refreshing drink, and rau ma dau xanh!!! stars are for their cafe sua da (vietnamese-french iced coffee). i drink this stuff a lot and this place makes it pretty good, evidenced by the crowds there. usually a bunch of old men but also a lot of young people on the weekends. a cafe sua da here will set you back 2.75$ tho which is friggen pricey. it seems like vietnamese food has gotten more popular over the recent years and prices are now inflated but i'm used to paying 1.50$ for it. 2$ is pushing it even... but it's okay i guess. glad they're getting exposure, but as a point of reference to those that don't normally drink it don't buy cafe sua da that is more than 3. doesn't really make sense. ladies who work here are also younger so theyr'e nicer and speak english. sandwiches looked alright but prices were too high for a banh mi so i skipped it. read more

Pate is my weakness and when I was having cravings, this place sufficed. Just give me a baguette with butter and pate and I will be your forever friend! The xiu mai was a tad greasy. The order came with 3 small meatballs and I couldn't finish the last one. I also like a bit of chew to it as the meat was too finely chopped. Excellent service. Our server was a young man, Jose. He was very polite and helpful. We had the Banh Mi sandwich with steak and mushroom as an appetizer. it was awesome. we had vermicelli with steak and spring rolls, beef stew, and some steak and eggs. we had a couple of other dishes but they were on the other end and i didn't get to try them. it was all very good. our server brought us plenty of baguettes that we enjoyed with our food. definitely coming back. the dining area is kept very clean. seating was easy to accommodate our party of ten. Good price, GREAT food and great cafe sua da. But wow, their service sucks! Maybe I'm just unlucky or something, but I've been here a whole of ten times, probably, and five out of those ten times, I was forgotten about after I was seated. The waitresses are all very polite and nice WHEN they seat you, but I've been put at tables that hasn't been cleaned (the paper tablecloth/placemat the person before me had used was still there)! Not only that, sometimes after being seated, I sit there for half an hour trying to call someone over (they keep telling me they'd be right with me, and then forget), and finally I have to get up and tell the lady at the register that I've been there for half an hour (not exhaggerating... I timed it) and haven't been helped. Great place to hang out if you have all the time in the world and all you care about is how good the food is at a decent price (though kinda expensive for a Vietnamese-ran small cafe). First off, I LOVE THE DECOR of this place. It feels homey & cute. Makes me feel like I'm in France or something (Nig$A in PARIS!). The banh mi is skinny like a torpedo from Quizno (if anyone has ever had that). I love the fact that it's toasted & warm when it comes out. It takes a little while for your order to be made, mainly because they make it fresh & hot baby!! Tried the coffee here & it made my heart jumped 100mph, but it was pretty good. Customer service: Co Mai - the owner ( I think ), is very nice. Makes me feel comfortable & not awkward when I'm standing there waiting for my food to come out. When I'm out in Westminster or HB area, I try to come here for my breakfast / sandwich needs. Although the name is Coffee Factory, it is bigger than your usual "coffee only" places, but small by restaurant standard. 2 things I always come here for.... Their iced coffee "cafe su da" & their "vietnamese" sandwiches are probably the best in the area. Coffee is lot stronger than your average coffee from the local "lee's sandwich shops" You can also order the coffee in double shots, which is how I usually get mine. When I'm here for sit down breakfast, I always order the 2 sunnyside up eggs w/ pate, ham, salami plate that comes with fresh baguettes. If I'm just passing by, I always try to get an order of their sandwich to go. If you compare the price of their sandwich to Lee's sandwich, it is lot more expensive. But it's like comparing Denny's NY steak to Morton's Ribeye. I wouldn't consider this "over priced" You get what you pay for. I've only been here on Saturdays or Sundays and the place is usually packed. It doesn't bother me but there's always big group of Vietnamese "grand pa's" gathered here and enjoying their teas and coffees outside(pretty loud). Probably sharing Vietnam war stories about how many G.I. they ...... I always joke around with my viet friends that those old men are doing what they are going to be doing in not so distant future. It's friday morning, kinda busy but just only 2 young guy servers. I ordered 1 hot milk coffee and a wonton soup. It took 10mins for the soup but then i waited more than 30mins for the milk coffee eventhou i finished breakfast already. When i asked for my coffee, they said sorry for letting me waiting and gave me ice tea while waiting for re-ordered the coffee (I guessed they forgot). Its ok then. 10mins later they gave me the black coffee (wrong order) but i still took it becuz i was in rush to leave and could not wait. But then when i asked for the bill, they charged me for milk coffee and PLUS $2.00 for the ice tea - which i had not ever ordered!!!! I asked the lady at cashier (owner) and she responsed "i dont know. Ur table has ice tea. So i charge $2"!!!! Its not about $2.00, its about the 'misunderstanding' / miscommunication between the teamwork in this coffee shop and this exp absolutely ruined my mood in the early morning. Had I written this review last month I would have given it 4 stars. The eggrolls and the beef stew here is pretty good. However, I am sitting here looking at the menu and shocked that virtually every item on the menu has been raised by at least $1. That might not seem like much but it's enough to reconsider coming here when I need an eggroll and iced coffee fix. Not your typical Vietnamese restaurant! It has a very French bistro setting as the other yelpers here mentioned. Service is good, fast and the place is clean. The prices are really cheap and the environment is laid back, open and comfortable. Everything is pretty tasty at Coffee Factory but I usually eat the banh mi cha pate, banh mi bo kho, and the shaken beef with eggs. The banh mi cha pate is the best here! They really give you top quality pate and a huge amount of it compared to other banh mi places. The banh mi bo kho is probably the best i've had but the portions are very tiny. I dont drink coffee but from what i hear the ice coffee is legit. I recommend this place and if you havent tried you should! :) read more

This place was not one of my favorites. I ordered an omelette here and it was decent. Still kinda slimy and raw in some places which was hella disgusting. But the thing I'm really complaining about is their milk tea. It tasted like sour milk! I'm so pissed right now, because they took FOREVER to do it as well!!! Im very disappointed in service and the food/coffee today. Your iced latte is a Vietnamese version of black coffee used for cafe sua da and with sugar added. Sui mai is the meat inside of the banh bao and i bite into grains of extra ingredients? Garlic noodle filet mignon was delicious! The salad that came with it could use a dressing though. The sunny side up eggs were a little over cooked on my dish as well as the egg that came with the assiette anglaise which was also pretty good. They have the best cafe sua da and banh mi xiu mai. Seriously, I've been coming here for years. I don't drink or eat either of those items any where else because it would simply be a huge disappointment. It's a family business where two sisters run this location. They're both really sweet. I've had the opportunity to chat with them quite a few times. I recently tried their filet with eggs that come with a baguette and that was really tasty as well. My friends have had their smoothies and boba which they all enjoy. My brother loves the Thai tea here. My cousin loves their bo bia spring rolls. I've also had their little pastries that are quite tasty. Overall, great place to grab a quick and satisfying meal. Only downfall is all of the perverted old men who sit up front smoking their cigarettes but this is a coffee shop so it shouldn't be a surprise, lol. read more

Love their crack coffee. Its real Vietnamese coffee.. not the watered down version with sea foam that other places are selling. My husband comes almost every day. My favorite thing here is the avocado shake. Yes I said it avocado shake! Don't "eek" until you try.. It's buttery goodness through a straw... A Vietnamese classic shake .. I've been here a few times with my mom to start our day with a great breakfast. This brings me back to my childhood eating the same type of food, before heading to school in Vietnam. Our regular orders would be a pate plate and Opla (sunny side up eggs) and mom would get her usual beef stew. Let's not forget their delicious, strong brewed coffee. I like mine strong and condensed milk on the side so I can control the sweetness. Although, Mom has to dilute her coffee with half a cup of hot water. I turn her leftover coffee into my iced coffee to go. Their beef stew is awesome. I also bought their sandwiches to go, a bit pricey but they were okay. Tried their steak filet and Opla with extra sides of a baguette and pate. Great flavor and loved their sautéed onion with the mustard seeds. My mouth was doing the Nae Nae dance when I combined the sweet onion, beef, green lettuce, and a fresh sliced tomato. BIG YUMO!!! I wish the meat was a bit more fatty for tenderness. The meat flavor was pretty good. The servers here are great and polite and so is the owner and her sister, who do all the coffee roasting here. I also appreciate their having a clean restroom. The service is good even when busy. That says a lot about an Asian restaurant since customer service isn't usually great.
