Stopped by to grab some snacks to take home. Easy parking and not busy in shop. Well organized and plenty of ready to eat foods and snacks. Service is good, and foods are still aok and prices are reasonable.

There is no menu and they struggle with languages outside of Vietnamese. Prices are who knows what and you don't really know what's for sale today. There are dishes pre-packed and a mound of spring rolls when you walk in. Pick up or point at what you want. They struggle to answer questions, don't do well with orders outside the norm, and aren't that helpful.

I've come here for the panini Banh mi before and it's fine. My mom wanted some food Togo for others, so we made a "quick trip". We got there maybe at 5:15-5:30.. but we didn't get the order til 6pm. If you know what you want, def call in your order. They took forever to give us 3 bowls. They have a variety of Viet home foods like thit Kho, sweet and sour fish soup, seafood Banh canh, chicken with egg noodle, caramelized shrimp and pork, some fish dish, etc.. at the end of the night they only had sweet sticky rice available. All this for between $8-$10 is a steal in today's economy! But time is money and if you got hungry kids at home, pls call in your order lol Bun Bo hue $9 something! Decent amount of meat, good for one serving. Broth def leans on the sweeter side, will prolly add in my own chili oil next time.

    1. The Bun Bo Hue is pretty good! The Vietnamese Iced Coffee is also easy to drink! 2. The spot has fun fast casual vibes! The interior is cozy! 3. The staff was friendly and timely with our order! The BBH took about 10 mins! 4. There is only outdoor seatings! There are a lot of outdoor tables! 5. Parking lot is small, but there is street parking available! Note: Did not easily see if there was a restroom available for customers! Photo: Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Spring Rolls

This review is for their special banh mi only. Not terrible however not worth the price for $7+. I rather have their pork flat bread their previous had for $4.99. Will skip next time.

I've had this place bookmarked for a while. A few of my friends have said that they have pretty good to go items, Vietnamese home-cooked type meals. You won't find at your traditional pho restaurant. The people serving hair don't speak a lot of English so they are very good at the native language This was a former tip top sandwiches before it went out of business. The restaurant itself had a steady stream of customers. I ordered canh chua ca which is a traditional, hot and sour catfish soup filled with vegetable vegetables. For six dollars you can't ask for more heck you can't even get a burger for less than that nowadays and this meal is much healthier than anything I can think about for $6. They had a bunch of hot foods to go packaged up for about five dollars to seven dollars each depending on what you get. I'll swing by and get a couple of items and just have a piping hot rice bowl at home to try. I would come back.

    Banh Mi Heo Quay

Not too shabby especially for the prices. This Lac Viet location is a bit different than the one near Asian Garden Mall in Bolsa that does Banh Mi, Bo Ne(Sizzling Steak + Eggs Skillet), & Com Tam(Broken Rice Dish). This location focuses also on Banh Mi but also a lot of smaller portions of Vietnamese dishes like Thit Kho & Egg (Caramalized Pork/Egg) & Canh Chua(Sweet/Sour Soup) that are packaged & ready for takeout for around $5-6 each! Overall the food was okay, the Banh Mi Heo Quay (Crispy Pork Belly) was a bit too oily & the bread was a bit too hard. I do love that this allows people to try other favorite dishes in Vietnamese cuisine at a reasonable price, instead of having to hard commit to 1 big dish. Overall if not a bad choice, but if you can afford to pay a little more, I'd go to all the other amazing places for specialities!

Crab congee, crispy chicken, canh chu, & tomato meatballs ($20 for all 4)

Lac Viet Concepts gives me that nostalgic home-cooked feeling I miss living alone. Their single-serving dishes for about $6 to $7 taste like something from a family kitchen. My favorites were the tomato meatballs, braised basa fish, and beef stew with rice. The canh chua was a little sweet for my taste. I came in the morning hoping for bun bo hue, but it is only served after 2 PM. The screen menu also did not match what was actually available. You simply pick from the dishes set out that day. The service is friendly, the space is clean, and the Vietnamese coffee is strong and very good. It is a great spot when you want simple and comforting Vietnamese food.

What first drew us here was that Ube coffee is $3.45 and Sea salt coffee is also $3.45! At first, I thought the low price was an opening special, but it has stayed the same price until now. It's Vietnamese coffee so it's very, very strong. One weekend, I spent $20 there and got a free drink (promo only applies on weekends). The second draw is your choice of 3 spring rolls for $6.75. They are packed with fresh veg and come with an excellent dipping sauce. Sometimes, they sell out in the afternoon. Our favorites are the marinated pork, shrimp, and beef. I'm not a fan of the sausage and egg one. Third, they have very affordable to-go dishes. They have chicken noodle with soup (filling for a meal) for $7.50, braised catfish (great flavor) for $5, and sweet&sour fish soup (very much on the sweet side) for $5. Just know that the names of the dishes are all in Vietnamese on the menu, display and kiosk. The line can be very confusing with people lining up but others walking up to the employees at the counter.

Food quality has been clearly declining since the first day. Cheap price goes hand in hand with low quality ingredients. Some ingredients were not fresh and stale, i.e. the shrimp in thick soup has a little sour taste and the texture was mushy, not firm any more. If continues going downtrend like this, I guess I will not see it survive for too long. However, plus side, servers are always welcoming and friendly.

Such fair prices for fast food to-go! The banh mi is simple with mayonnaise and bbq pork. They put the pickled veggies on the side for you. The ragu is decent, not the best but for $7 can't complain too much. My favorite thing to get is the porked stuffed tofu, everytime I come i have to order it. It's fast and only cost $5! Recently tried the Ube coffee, it's decent. The Ube foam has a nice purple color, but the flavor isn't strong. I think I will try the sea salt coffee next! There's plenty of parking spots in the lot, but the line could take a few minutes. A lot of elders like to cut the line, but what can you do about it? It's modern inside, there's a bench and bar-table inside. The outside has umbrellas for you to sit at.

Authentic, homemade-style and delicious Vietnamese food at very affordable price. You can grab items or placed orders at the counter. Staff were helpful. Ambiance is casual with few outdoor tables and chairs. Parking can be very challenging.

    Large Sharp Plastic Found!!

Hmm bought this thit kho trung today and found a large piece of sharp plastic in it. Like wtf?! This is seriously unacceptable and could've been dangerous if my kids or I were swallowed it. Very disappointed.
