I took my mom here while she was visiting the island, and she is a huge coffee fanatic. Of course the coffee is wonderful, but she also tried this chocolate banana bread and she wanted to come back every single morning for breakfast. I then took my dad here when he visited and he just had to come try it for himself. It did not disappoint. This was also one of my favorite places to come and read on their back patio. It's a beautiful and wonderful environment on the island to relax and enjoy nature. The service is wonderful and they are very helpful with deciding on what to get. I've been passing by here so many times and finally got to stop by! Such a nice coffee shop! Soon as you enter, it smells soooo good! They sell a lot of merchandise from coffee cups, coffee, etc. They have a lot of coffee options! I seen that their coffee freeze was popular so I gave it a try and I was soooooo happy. This was our retreat. A daily inspiration. Ambiance retained. This is my brother's favorite coffee shop in Hawaii, and now it is mine too. Forget those chain coffee establishments! This is where you want to frequent to grab your daily inspiration. It's not pretentious and it's far from impersonal. I enjoyed the eclectic presentation of gifts, treats, and brews so much that I made sure to pick up a replica of the famous Hale'iwa surfer sign for my bruh. Yeah, I could have purchased it somewhere else because the iconic signs are found scattered along the strip at various gift shops and stores, but it had to come from Coffee Gallery! We were exploring Haleiwa and remembered that we had a coupon. So we stopped here in the morning for some coffee time. The coupon was BOGO free coffee. So we ordered the regular size coffee and a hazelnut flavor. Also got the wakey wakey scone for a snack. I'm not a coffee person, so I don't get comments about it. However, my bf is a coffee lover and he said this was the best coffee he ever tried. Wow! Scone was very yummy! It was really good. There was some spread inside of it. 0 ethics from ownership. **BUYER BEWARE** I left my hydroflask (a $60 water bottle) here not even 24 hours ago. Today, I stopped in and the staff themselves were very kind in helping me locate the water bottle. Initially, they were confused about why it wasn't in the lost and found since they recalled seeing it around the day prior. After some anxious scrambling, they brought me my water bottle from what seemed to be an apartment that they have upstairs. While confused why my property would be in their apartment, I was very thankful and sat on the bench near the shop to open it up, since it was slightly filled. As I opened up the lid, I smelled inside the bottle a very pungent grape Gatorade, and noticed that the bottle itself was sticky with some sugary substance. Immediately, I realized that my water bottle had been repurposed for someone else's personal use not even 24 hours after I had left it there. (I've only used this for water) A man who seemed to be the owner was quite shocked that my water bottle was back in my hands for some reason. I confronted the man explaining that the water bottle was filled with someone else's drink and that it is pretty low morals to repurpose someone's personal property not even after a full day. The man's response was "Do you have a dishwasher? Put it in the dishwasher, then clean it." No apology or accountability whatsoever. I actually did go ahead and try to clean the water bottle, but the pungent grape smell is ingrained in the inner lining of the lid and I cannot use the water bottle. Unfortunately, I had to throw it away - not to mention the thought of sharing saliva with that man is completely traumatizing to even have to think about. If you're on the North Shore, I would NOT recommend the coffee gallery. Please visit The Birds Nest, their coffee and matcha is significantly higher quality and the owners are great people. 0/10 stars for the coffee gallery - don't be led on about the positive reviews on social media, everything about them is MID. Sorry to the hard-working staff who do their best to uphold the establishment they are working for - this is something out of their hands and is a complete reflection of the ownership. read more

We were in Hawaii back in March so we are definitely delayed writing this review but at the same time I'm glad I waited. Tried this coffee shop while we were waiting for family to go to the beach. This place has amazing coffee and the beans are some of the best we've ever had. While we were in the shop, I decided to splurge and buy their 100% Kona Prime. Since we've been back home, we've already run through our Kona Prime and I decided to order more online. Since it's flat rate shipping, I bought 6 different bags of coffee beans (that's how many will fit in a box according to their website). I couldn't believe it when the box arrived because not only did they send all the coffee I ordered but they also included a bag of their granola and a few extra items. I was so excited and grateful!! We will definitely be ordering more once we go through what we ordered. read more

Cold brew was tasty and the prices were very reasonable, especially compared to Waikiki prices! Lowering my rating a bit because... Lines are long most days that I arrive. I've left a few times due to size of line Sad to find out they add brown sugar to their premade chai tea. Why can't sugar be added if people want sweet, just like coffees? Having a sugar free chai option would be a positive change! The majority of this country is overweight and unhealthy because of sugar. Let's not add it to things that people wouldn't expect, so there's no confusion or misleading offerings? Lastly, I'm glad to see vegan food options back! However, it seems like most of the vegan options are more on the dessert style side with what seems to be lots of sugar. Would love to see more vegan muffins! This is more of feedback/insight than anything. I like this spot. read more

When I say it's an excellent roast I mean it's good enough to make me drive from Waianae to there and if you ask any Islander they know that's a haul! Definitely worth your time! I stopped by here earlier today with my wife and her parents for our morning coffee. We decided on the Coffee Gallery because it was the closest local place to where we were staying that was open at 6:30 AM. The inside of this place wasn't the gallery that I was expecting. However it was bright and nice with a lot of their coffee for sale, a display case with lots of good looking food items and a place to order your coffee. They also had a ton of merchandise (mugs, cups, etc) for sale and things like historical Hawaiian post cards. Finally since it was December whenever we were there, they had a Christmas tree up and Christmas music playing over the speakers. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a large Mac nut milk latte and then also added on a haupia bar because it looked really good. After about a 5 minute wait my coffee was ready and we headed back to our house. The coffee itself here was pretty good and I especially enjoyed the Mac nut milk which gave a nice and nutty flavor. However the best part of what I got was the haupia bar. It had a nice Mac nut shortbread on the bottom, then a layer of ube and finally the haupia on the top. Overall it was more of a savory than a sweet bar which is exactly what I like and so I loved this one. The smooth ube in the middle was probably my favorite part of it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I really loved the haupia bar and thought that the coffee was pretty good too. read more

Highly recommend! Love popping in to this coffee shop when I'm in Haleiwa. They have great pastries and coffee. I personally love the cold brew. I can even drink it black - it's that good. Recently I got the homemade granola with yogurt and honey. Amazing! It was so yummy and so filling. If you're looking for a hotter breakfast, I highly recommend the quiche. Omg so good! I stopped by this morning before my appointment out here. I rarely get out to the north shore...and at that it's not common that it's at breakfast time. I ordered their golden tumeric latte and a bunch of pastries to take to my appointment. I also got some sampling. I ordered the ulu custard pie, lilikoi muffin, and lilikoi bar (prepping up for my day of driving around and cruising). And a box of 6 (see pics) for the docs. The tumeric latte was perfect. It wasn't bitter (as some others are) it was beautiful but I messed it up before being able to snap a pic. They gave me a choice of 0-4 shots of espresso. Two suited me this morning. It was so yummy, creamy with a subtly spicy finish. The pastries were nice. The lilikoi muffin was firm and tart, at first I thought it was dry, but after the first couple bites, I realized it was just firm, and not dry at all. The ulu custard was a great consistency and the flavor of ripe ulu shines through. The crust was flaky and chewy. Happy that the pastry box looks and will taste great for the office. This will be my new stop when I head out this way. read more

This is a cute coffee shop on the North Shore. They have several seating areas, one covered huge patio, garden type seating with benches in the back and then they also have seating in front of the store. ( sorry no pictures of the patios. I didn't notice the extra seating when taking my photos because it's kind of tucked in the back) I enjoyed a lavender cappuccino and I also enjoyed my girlfriends ginger lavender drink. They offer cafe food and homemade baked goods, smoothies, shakes and the sell merchandise in their store front. Coffee Gallery offers delicious pastries and a very cool gift shop. You can buy souvenirs for friends and family. They have sturdy mugs that make you want to buy all the colors. Their coffee is chefs kiss. Not sure if dogs are allowed but we did see one in there and I like that they are dog friendly. To be honest, I don't come here for the coffee although they have a lot of options for those who do. I come here for the fresh made pastries. Highly recommend the lilikoi sugar buns, the morning glory muffins (they are the only bran muffin I've ever found tasty), and their maple walnut scones (Sugary salty and savory all in a single well done crumbly scone). After a long morning of surfing you can still beat the tourist rush if you get there before 9am. Get coffee if you like, but you'd be a sore jack is you didn't at least try their baked goods. read more

The coffee and food has always been the most consistent out of any other shop I have frequented. They have a wonderful selection of food and drinks! The quiche, glorious morning muffin, and pumpkin cream cheese muffin have always been a fave! Staff is alway super friendly! Coco is definitely a favorite face to see first thing in the AM! Located in the cute Haleiwa town, the Coffee Gallery is definitely one of my favorite places to visit for a coffee treat. As soon as you walk through the entrance you get a happy vibe, I'm not sure if it's the coffee aroma or the happy workers, either way I'm not complaining. One of the fan favorites that is definitely on my "go-to" list is the Cappuccino Freeze which is a cappuccino with a scoop of vanilla ice cream added! Soooo yummy and hits the spot on a hot day. In addition to coffee drinks they have fruit smoothies, acai bowls, and homemade baked goods. One of my favorites is the blueberry cream cheese scone, a scone filled with blueberries and cream cheese bites. They also have a delicious banana bread which is very moist and full of flavor. Small Haole girl with the slow monotone voice. I placed my order and handed her my $100 bill. She stares at me, looks at her coworker & proceeds to mark up my bill (multiple times)with the pen like she's waiting for it to all of a sudden change colors . Asked her coworker if it was real because she claimed it looked funny . I really enjoy this place but I was so shame that she made a whole production & my bill was real the whole time smh. Coffee gallery is a treasure! I like in Kapolei, roughly 45 minutes away. I am happy to make the drive each weekend, up to Haleiwa, for coffee gallery! This is a perfect north shore coffee bar. There are picnic tables out front, out back, and seating in the attached sunroom. This is the perfect place to meet up with friends, bring a book, or even get some work done. The atmosphere is relaxed. The open sunroom allows for a cool breeze. A large tree provides shade for the sunroom and back seating area, as well. Now... let's get to the coffee! AMAZING! This is the best coffee I have found in the island. My partner and I are coffee snobs and this place has taken it to a whole new level. We buy the whole bean bagged coffee and take it home. Our favorite is the Vanilla Macadamia and the Espresso. Both are perfect for French press or cold brew method. Prepared drinks that I usually get are the Lavender latte, Rose cardamom latte, hazelnut cold brew, the bullet coffee, and the turmeric latte. All are incredible. The rose cardamom and lavender are my favorite! These have a floral taste. Perfect for people who love tea and coffee! I have had both iced and hot, can't go wrong either way. One of the great coffee shops up in the North Shore and Historic Hale'iwa Town. I've only had their iced coffee when going here the first 3-4 times now, but the products are great and so is their customer service. Things can get rather busy and crazy at times, so the wait time may be a little longer than expected. Overall, their iced coffee tastes great and I should try their other selections the next time I am in the area. read more

Coffee Gallery is the only local cafe that I will stop at West of the Ko'olau. Why? As with many of my reviews, I prefer places that are 1) local businesses and 2) provide a diverse range of menu options. Coffee Gallery easily meets that criteria.
