Coffee Gallery is the only local cafe that I will stop at West of the Ko'olau. Why? As with many of my reviews, I prefer places that are 1) local businesses and 2) provide a diverse range of menu options. Coffee Gallery easily meets that criteria. First time here on a Saturday... Semi-busy but there were 4 employees there. Unfortunately there was only one person making the drinks so the wait was a little long. Not sure why but that needs to change! GREAT COFFEE that blows away the big commercialized guy from the Pacific Northwest; you know, the one with the green logo. Coffees are very fresh. Many roasted and ground in house. Super bold. Based on how deep and clean the flavor of the espresso is, drinks based on this caffeine bomb will be excellent. The chai is excellent! Pastries are also very good (carrot cake made with real carrots! super moist). The haupia with Okinawan sweet potato pure on a shortbread crust that other yelpers raved about is OK. They add ginger to the potato that may not be to everyone's liking. Service is super friendly and fast. Incredible since they have to deal with so many Japanese tourist that don't really speak English. Lots of seating and free WiFi. read more

This is a great, quaint coffee shop in the North Shore Marketplace - you walk in and the whiff of coffee beans overwhelm you... it's lovely. They have their own whole roasted beans stocked from floor to ceiling (they ship them all over the U.S. too). Their menu can't be missed because its all written in bright, bold colors on chalkboards. I ordered a typical iced nonfat latte and a large square slice of their homemade carrot cake. The coffee was strong, just how I like it... but it was the carrot cake that was most memorable. Carrot cake is my favorite and I'm always on the hunt for the best - this carrot cake has jumped to the very top of my list! Venturing out to find a great or even good brewed coffee is difficult for me because my expectation is high. Recently, on a trip to the North Shore, my good friend and fellow yelper, Anna L, introduced me to this stimulant gallery. Inside, this cozy shop your senses are stimulated with the wonderful smell of the coffee brew of the day, which changes each day. Want to purchase coffee beans from the shop, no problem! Lots of flavors for sale and option to be ground for free with purchase. Another wonderful stimulation, is the art decorating the shop. The ceiling is covered with coffee bean bags which adds a nice touch! Mosaic on the floors is easily missed but on my next trip after reviewing yelp pictures I had to take a peek! Chalkboards advertise coffee of the day, menu items. I happy to report there was pineapple vegan chilli! Now, on to the coffee! Many flavors to choose from. I loved 'sexual chocolate' coffee. Its flavor didn't want for any flavoring! Add a bit of cream and it was good to go! North shore blend is also nice and smooth tasting. No acid burn following my coffee! Cream options of whole milk, reduced fat, non fat, soy, almond are all available. Now, on to the treats! Loads of fat, vegan, homemade delicious savory and sweet eats! Pastrys do go quickly and change daily. The homemade ginger pecan pumpkin pastry was FABULOUS! I also enjoyed the bran blueberry muffin. Definitely, a stop for your coffee fill! Alright folks I love this place but today I walked in on the 1st of the new month (4/1) and the new drink of the month is called the "Kazzmatazz" it was hand down ONO. Wonderful location, delicious blueberry scones, and they even top lattes with the creamy heart designs Definitely look forward to coming back soon. Down a star because the refrigerated display case had about 10-14 different labels with only one individual serving of three different items on display when we walked in at 6:40 AM, which was pretty upsetting since the most amazing sounding flavors were the treats not on display. BTW, if you're a pumpkin spice person, it's currently July and they have pumpkin spice flavored stuff that looked absolutely mouth watering. I was in a mood for some caffeine so I checked out this coffee place located in North Shore Marketplace. I decided to try their mocha freeze and I paid about $6 for a good size. I forgot to ask the cashier to substitute for soy milk in my drink but overall it was good and I didn't have any problems due to me being lactose. I will definitely be back here again and try something different because you can't beat the prices here. read more

I was really impressed with Coffee Gallery. I walked in, and my first thought was, "Wow, this place is small." Little did I know, they had a TON of seats to my right. Both indoor and outdoor seating. This place surprises you with its greatness. Yay! Options. They have a ton to choose from. I ordered an iced mocha with soy milk, which I enjoyed. Not too sweet. I really liked that they offer multiple options of milk. Whole, soy, almond.. And something else that I can't recall at the moment. They have hot drinks, iced drinks, blended drinks (think frappucino), smoothies, and even açai bowls! They even have an unbelievable amount of baked goods. Jars of cookies, trays of muffins, bagels, and other delicious treats. Yay! Staff. Very nice. Kind to customers. Quick to make drinks. They're on top of their game. Yay! Sit. Stay! Like I said, indoor and outdoor seating. Good for groups or for alone time. A bunch of different people were there. They have Wi-Fi, so you can bring your laptop and hang out for the day. I would, if I lived close enough. I adore this place! Yay! Store. Cute postcards, t-shirts, cups/tumblers, coffee, and handmade soap? Such cool stuff! Definitely take a look around. As of now.. How did it take me nearly 5 years and a mainland visitor to find this place? It's delicious and pleasant and super easy to love. Lots of local coffees available in small taster and larger (8oz?) bags. Super adorbs merchandise like aloha-fabric aprons, shop logo mugs and shirts. Interesting baked goods like rosemary chocolate-chip bars and blueberry cream-cheese scones. Their espresso machine in light turquoise is so lovely. I can't get past the Coconator because who WOULDN'T want to order something named that?? Maybe one day I'll order something else. I asked for ceramic-for-here and was gifted with latte art. No seating inside the shop, proper - there's a screened porch off to the side with seating, and windows open to the shop. It can get kind of warm on a day with weak winds, but usually there's enough breeze to keep it comfortable. read more

We stopped by this random coffeeshop on the way to North Shore because I was feeling the need for some coffee. It was such a pleasant surprise! The shop did feel a tad more mainland-y, but what we got was great. There's a very extensive menu with lots of delicious sounding options. Acai bowl- SO GOOD Iced golden latte with honey- good but too sweet for me baked goods We ate it outside on the cute outdoor patio (watch out for chickens). Really cute place =) Got a small black coffee dripped. Good taste. Fresh. No bitter after taste. And a purple sweet potato muffin. I expected the muffin to be more hardy. I'm use to the southern sweet potato muffins. Forgot it said purple and that I was in Hawaii. Definitely tasted like a sugar dusted blueberry muffin. Good though. Paired well with the black coffee. I found myself at the North Shore Marketplace in search of a place to get a refreshment, cool down, and take a break from driving around the island. I saw Coffee Gallery once I parked and headed in. It's a combination of hipster, cozy, and boho inside. They serve a variety of baked goods, espresso drinks, smoothies, shakes, and foods such as sandwiches and acai bowls. I opted for the mudslide specialty shake which had chocolate, banana, peanut butter, honey and soy milk. It was refreshing, smooth, and delicious without any heaviness! It was the perfect treat after driving around the island during traffic. I also loved sitting in the outdoor covered patio which was cool and breezy. You could also seeing chickens roaming around outside! Overall, a great spot to relax, chill, and people watch while out in Haleiwa. read more

I was pleasantly surprised that this small, tranquil town of Haleiwa has a rustic coffee shop that makes Starbucks tremble with fear due to North Shore's ultimate coffee roasting competitor. My girlfriend, Carol Moss from United Kingdom was just tickled pink drinking Coffee Gallery's sumptuous English Breakfast tea. For Carol who hails from the UK complementing the quality of Coffee Gallery's tea is very, very impressive! Also, I must complement Coffee Gallery's freshly roasted French Roast coffee because the flavor was robust, but not bitter tasting as Starbuck's and Pete's Coffee permeates strong bitter coffee oils. The French Roast coffee at Coffee Gallery is very, very smooth tasting. Surprisingly, I did not notice any coffee oils floating at the top of my coffee cup as I have noticed while drinking Starbuck's and Pete's Coffee. In addition to liking Coffee Gallery's coffee and tea, I was very impressed that this business ships their products to your home or anywhere you want to send a gift. I have been coming to the Coffee Gallery since I was a little girl. It has the charm of a local beach town coffee spot along with delicious coffee and a case full of fresh baked snacks, like muffins and bars. I love that the menu extends out into some blended drinks, soups, a sandwich and such. They also always seem to have at least one gluten-free treat, so that's a definite plus. If you're visiting Haleiwa, this is the only coffee shop you should be coming to. Forget Sbux, this place has the atmosphere and good coffee. Support local! read more

Janessa's cousin Sarah, was visiting from the mainland & we decided to explore North Shore, before we started our adventure we headed to Coffee Gallery (located in the North Shore Marketplace). I never realized this place was a few doors down from Cholo's Homestyle Mexican Restuarant. Whenever Janessa is in the area she always gets Ginger Peach iced tea & that's what I decided get as well, & the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake that called my name through the pastry glass. When I walked into this place, I figured that I'd be getting the usual experience that you get from a coffee place but I'm proud to say that I was mistaken. Only speaking for what I ordered, which wasn't coffee but the ginger tonic that had the natural sharpness of ginger(obviously because ginger was used) and was very refreshing on a warm afternoon. My friend ordered the house made chai and I must say that that was very good as well. I enjoy coming here but unfortunately decided to venture out of my norm and try the granola with yogurt and fruit. I was so disappointed when I got my bowl because on top of good yogurt and granola were FROZEN STRAWBERRIES, FROZEN BLUEBERRIES, and a fresh banana. I am not sure if this is how it always is made but I would like to think not because the I have enjoyed their food (great chili) and it is presented in a way that it seems like it is fresh. Best coffee spot in Oahu. Hands down. On my small quest to find the best coffee spots possible when on vacation, this was my Oahu winner. We drove here from Waikiki twice in one week. My lattes were solid, especially with oat milk. No sweetener needed. We tried the acai smoothie too and that was delicious as well. Prices were great compared to the other places. No complaints about the service; the staff were prompt and fulfilled our orders in an accurate and timely manner. No indoor seating but there were tables outside to chill on a nice day. Parking was easy since it's located in a small plaza. We will come again when revisiting Oahu. read more

This place is excellent! Had a drip coffee and a cold brew, both very affordable - the drip coffee was definitely better than the cold brew, as it was very smooth. Also tried the pastries which were excellent. Had a lilikoi lemon bar which was balanced - tart and sweet but the right amount of both. The purple sweet potato haupia bar was a real winner - not too sweet and it was firm and didn't fall apart. The savory bread pudding was outstanding - so incredibly tasty as it had the right mix of cheese, vegetable and potato.
