Hands down the BEST milk tea EVER! Friendly service,fair prices, awesome atmosphere and did I mention the Best Milk Tea Ever?!! Favorite drink so far is the coconut milk tea with half boba and half custard- or with extra boba. It is so good that I have gone to grab one before work and then gone back again after work for another!!! I am gonna have to branch out and try some of their other drinks and tasty treats too. Only negative is that they are cash only- I would probably spend a lot more if they took cards! read more

After hearing of the recent opening of this place recently I just had to go chek it out on a random Tuesday early afternoon. I just remembered about this place being here because there was a banner in front of the Pearl Kai Shopping Center on Kamehameha Highway. It was my first time coming here so before stepping inside I looked at their menu from outside. I didn't know what to order. Apparently they are known more for their bubble/boba milk teas than coffee itself so that make me question why Coffee or Tea when it's really mostly all about the tea? Anways, I found out that their popular item is the honey green tea grande size which was $4.48 cash only. I gave myself a sat to chill and enjoy the tea for a little while inside. Their interior looks really nice I would say. It's a very modern and chill kinda vibe. I can see how this place is pretty much da spot for pau hana time or pau workout time (since powerhouse gym is just outside) or just any kine time. For claiming to be "the best milk tea in Hawaii" since 1999, it wasn't so bad but I wouldn't say that it's the best but I did enjoy it. I think I should try other flavors and menu items because it definitely looks appetizing. read more

Coffee or Tea in Pearl City!!? yay! I used to always go to the Mccully location, but I hate the parking there. So this is so much better. Eat Kuru and then milk tea for dessert! I usually get the milk tea with pudding which is always good. I recently tried the Watermelon juice which really quenched my thirst since it has been SO hot! The workers are very nice and patient. Stumble upon this place by accident when we were at the curry house and I wanted some boba tea. Ordered the jumbo size milk tea plus boba and it was Ok. The boba was a bit soft, not very chewy. Service was good and friendly. May give it a second try if I'm back in the plaza. read more

I love Coffee or Tea. Of course everyone has originally been to the McCully location, so its pretty similar. The menu is very clear, with pictures, and easy to read. They have drinks but also classic Chinese shave ice desserts with red bean, green beans, grass jelly, etc--- love this! Had my usual jasmine green milk tea with bubbles and yep, just as good as ever. I love the new location, its right across Pearlridge Shopping Center in the center where Curryhouse is located, but further in the back. Wanted to try some place new that served bubble tea drinks. It is 3:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday and it is HUMID. Needed something to quench my thirst. So we go here because of mainly positive yelp reviews. I was glad that we were the only in there when we first arrived (but maybe this was a sign). It still felt pretty warm even though we were the only customers. Maybe they should turn up the AC? I looked at the menu and couldn't decide. They had shave ice as well for $6 which is kind of pricey so we stuck to getting milk teas. The prices ranged from $4 and up. I asked the older man (owner?) what was the best seller and he pretty much went down the whole menu lol. So much for that! So I asked about the sweetness levels for this and that for comparison's sake but he seemed clueless and unknowing. Too bad they couldn't give us a taste sample like that other place down the road. I don't know, maybe my taste buds were deceiving me, but the milk tea drinks were not what I expected. We ordered a large winter melon tea and a large honeydew tea with boba. Both were not cold at all, almost room temperature. The wintermelon was overly sweet but the honeydew was just ok. And the tapioca pearls , which is usually the best part was virtually nonexistent. That was disappointing, although the texture and chewiness was just right. What was funny that i just realized was that they named their smallest sized cup as "large"and then it went up to Xlarge and then jumbo...so sly! I would have gotten 50% more at other places and paid less! The pros-the interior was cozy, modern and clean. Menus were colorful and professional looking. Parking is ample around this time. Except for the lack of advice and smiles, the service was decent...they did the greet-n- thank stuff and also said "have a nice day" which is number one in my book! All in all, unless the other tea drink places nearby closed down, I think I will stick with the place down the road. They are less expensive, charge no tax, and are very generous on the tapioca. read more

I've tried the winter melon milk tea with tapioca pearls, and it was pretty good. I like the atmosphere of it but when a lot of people start to trickle in, it can become very crowded because the place is so tiny. The pricing is very affordable unlike some places they are a bit more pricey. read more

Cash only. Located in the Pearl Kai shopping center near Blazin' Steaks. There's a lot of variety to the menu but I'm pretty simple when it comes to boba tea. So, I ordered a Pearl Milk Tea (Momi). A little on the sweet side (no option of sweetness level) but really delicious and even the tapioca pearls are pretty tasty. Their grande size is actually smaller than the regular size offered at other boba tea establishments and for a dollar more the next size up (jumbo) is a good size to quench a thirst for boba tea. read more

Since Coffee or Tea opened in Aiea, my Girlfriend and I visits there mostly every day to get our favorite drinks. We don't have to drive all the way in town no more. The staff are friendly and they welcome customers. The menu is the same as McCully location. They are quick workers when making your drinks. Their desserts are very delicious like the cheesecake, chocolate parfait, and cream rolls. We'll be visiting again. read more

I really dont know what the big deal is about this place. I know people who would travel to the honolulu location just to get this. There drinks are okay not really for my liking but my fiance loves this place for the pudding milk tea. Not a big fan but if it makes my future wife happy then I guess I will be coming here more often. read more

Ordered a green tea shake after about three minutes I realized the guy making it had no idea what he was doing. He had to ask other people and kept having to add more stuff to it. Finally got the shake and drank it and it was awful. I can't say if the whole place is awful or not but that guy and what I ordered was really awful. I was thinking of getting espresso because i'm a hardcore coffee and espresso lover that does not put any cream or sugar bullshit because only fat chicks would drink it after their workout (stupid coffee places like starbucks) *gasps for air* buuut, i decided to get the milk pudding tea with custard...(or pudding i forgot) and i recommended my friend honey dew melon tea with tapioca pearls or the jasmine milk green tea and of course he chose the honeydew. I had no idea there was a milk tea place closer to my home! I would always drive into town just to satisfy my craving. I came here for the first time last week. I got the coconut milk tea which I LOVED, my boyfriend got the pudding milk tea which he also loved. The tapioca was really soft, which I prefer. I can't wait to go back and try other flavors!
