Did take out a few times during a recent visit to Provincetown. Loved their iced coffee and that will be a daily visit next time I'm in town. Indulged in a breakfast burrito and was not disappointed. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious. The burrito weighed about 17 pounds, and I was, the fattest, happiest kid that morning. Service was friendly and fast. There was seating inside, but we chose to grab the one available table outside since it was a cool morning. Definitely will be back. read more

food was well. waited a while for our food, and told them after waiting that we needed to catch our boat. they said it would be out before 12, and reassured us, however we kept waiting. when we asked for a refund, they started laughing and dallying around. then all of a sudden ( with a bunch of people ahead of us) our food came out. wouldn't recommend totally based off of their service. read more

The menu here is confusing to get thru but I will say that the breakfast burrito with Linguica, peppers, onions, egg, and cheese was delicious and fairly cheap in price! I had an iced coffee and although the coffee was well made (they got it from a tap) they didn't put much care into making the coffee itself.... I didn't care for the lack of creamer in it and they didn't have liquid sugar which is kind of disappointing.... I liked the location and food prices! read more

I had my morning coffee here daily during my stay in Ptown. The coffee is strong and the muffins are good. I didn't try any other items on the menu but it looked interesting. We ate here today: the hot buttered Lobster Roll had a generous amount of lobster meat, the chicken wings were crispy and delicious, and the Hot Dog enormous. We particularly enjoyed the French Fries which were crispy and utterly delicious. We will definitely come back the next time we are in P-Town. read more

I only ordered take so this review is only for the food only. Ordered the Loaded Lobster Roll, fries, and onion rings and omg, it was the best lobster roll I have ever had! It was loaded with bacon and avocado and of course lobster. The bread was perfectly toasted. The fries and onion rings we're perfectly crispy. Can't do soggy fries or onion rings. We were visiting Provincetown off season and The Coffee Pot was the first place we stumbled into, hungry from our journey. The menu looked amazing! I ordered a lobster roll and lobster bisque and my wife ordered clam chowder. None of these were particularly good prices... but what you would expect for quality seafood. While my lobster roll was very good, both our soups were pretty gross. They tasted fine... kind of, but they were both cold in the middle, and you could tell the weren't authentic and just heated up. Being in P-Town, even off season, I thought you could expect fresh seafood. Very disappointed. I wish I had walked around the corner and saw all the other places! read more

Really, really sad. The coffee itself was good, but asked for almond milk and sugar. No sugar, 2 ice cubes, and almost black coffee is what I got. Breakfast burrito was eggs and jar salsa, no cheese to be found. Bacon, egg, and half a piece of cheese on a soggy croissant, also very sad. Only two stars because the lady at the counter was lovely! Beware the dregs at the bottom of this "coffee pot", you may find more than coffee grinds are responsible for that gritty texture. I rarely write reviews, and generally, when I write a bad review it's because the behavior of the employees or proprietors was so egregious that to not say something feels like a dereliction of my civic duty. I came to this establishment with my family and ordered smoothies. I ordered a mango and pineapple smoothie. I asked the employee working there what goes in it, she said mango, pineapple and ice. I waited outside and my husband returned with my smoothie. I took a sip and there was a strange aftertaste. I went back in to ask if they added any other ingredients besides the mango and pineapple and ice. An employee said they add dairy mix. First clue, why aren't you listing dairy as an ingredient? Especially for people who might be allergic to dairy or lactose intolerant? I know someone whose blood vessels burst when they eat dairy. The lovely employee suggested making me another smoothie without the mix but just with ice and fruit. I said I was fine. It was then a proprietor or manager who then asked me what the problem was, I said I'd like to know what's in the mix. He said no one's ever had a problem with it before and that they could make me a new one but they couldn't be sure I'd like it. Well, I said this one doesn't sit right with me so I'll try,, but I really wanted to know what was in the mix. Another woman who seemed to be in a position of seniority shouted out "vanilla"!. I asked, "that's it?" And then the torrent of vitriol from both of the clearly senior folk started, "what's your problem? "Take your money!" "Fuck you!" "We're calling the cops!" All the while I just kept asking why don't you want to tell me or show me what's in the mix? I did not curse, I did not raise my voice, but I did tell them they were incredibly rude and I was simply asking a question. I said call the cops that's fine but I want to stand here until you answer my question. I am a tall, black woman and I understand what the mention of cop calling is supposed to do to me. Well the long and short of this is they gave me my money back, continued yelling at me, and somehow a traffic officer arrived, an officer on foot, with three officers on a bike hovering close by. They were absolutely fine, and were not not rude to me at all. But the folks brewing coffee in the Coffee Pot are brewing with meanness. And if asking for transparency in the $6 drink I'm buying for myself and my children gets you so enraged that you have to call the cops, I would think you must be hiding something pretty damning. And of course, the lovely employees who were managing beautifully were black women and I am sorry that they must have been put in a very uncomfortable position to say the least. So perhaps if my white husband had complained they would not have called the cops on him. I chalk that up to #tryingtoeatsmartwgileblack. So drink/eat here at your own risk. read more

I live in Provincetown and work nearby. I've been here twice in the last week and my last experience prompted me to write a review. My first experience this week was ordering a breakfast burrito. When I asked for salt and pepper on my breakfast burrito they told me I had to put it on myself. Now if it was a burger or something that would be understandable...but a burrito comes wrapped. So they're telling me that in their commercial kitchen they can't take 2 seconds to put salt and pepper on their VERY bland burritos. Instead I have to unwrap it to do it which would take me significantly longer to do than the 2 seconds it would take them to do it. When I asked the woman at the counter why they couldn't just take the 2 seconds to do it she said it was because they were too busy. REALLY?! Today I went back only for convenience. When I got back to my job to eat I took a bite and it wasn't even my burrito. I was now stuck with a ham and cheese breakfast burrito when I don't eat ham or cheese. The staff is rude and clueless. When I told the person at the register I needed a minute with the menu she looked annoyed (no one was behind me and I obviously would've moved- the set up is small so you're basically in line when you walk in) but didn't say anything. So much for ptown being such a great town. Pretty sure I saw rat droppings on the ground near the fridge. This is a great breakfast place to get a quick bite before one starts the day. The place has pastries, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and other hot breakfast items. I got a toasted bagel with cream cheese, which one can't really mess up. Prices are reasonable and the line/wait can be long. I have had both the lunch chicken burrito and the breakfast burrito with chourico and i LOVED both of them. At first I was annoyed that I had to pay an additional $0.50 for sour cream and $1.00 for guacamole (although with guac its more understandable) but when I took my first bite, I noticed it was no ordinary sour cream. This cream tasted like the traditional Hispanic thick cream and not the American sour cream I am used to. That cream made the burrito even better than expected. It was a nice sized burrito too. I definitely recommend this for breakfast and light lunches. Prices were good as well. read more

We come here a few times every trip to Ptown. Love the bake goods and coffee. I have to say...very upsetting how they treat their customers regarding napkins. If you ask for napkins, they give you attitude that they give them when your food is ready. HOWEVER, they don't give them to you when you order a bake good. Each morning we went there...we would get a lot of pastries for the kids, would have to wait back in line to ask for a napkin, would get the same reply no matter which employee was there, etc. One asked me if I had my food yet, the next day another employee said we give them when you get your food. Finally, I had to speak up and say...so the $20 dollars of coffee and bake goods doesn't count? I understand the need for them to take them off the tables but the attitude was a huge disappointment for us this year. read more

Everything was wonderful except for the mediocre burrito that seemed to be just eggs and canned salsa.
